We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Cor Blimey - It's the Final!
Well, well, well! Looks who's in the Final - it's England and Spain, just as Nostrabobus picked it! So, sit back, relax and enjoy this one, eh? And sing it with me - "It's Coming Home, It's Coming Home, It's Coming...."
Only one change to the England side - Shaw in for Trip:
ReplyDeleteEngland (3-4-2-1): Pickford; Walker, Stones, Guehi; Saka, Rice, Mainoo, Shaw; Bellingham, Foden; Kane
Ian Darke and Landycakes on the commentary duties this afternoon. Of a poor Fox lot, they're the best.
ReplyDeleteEngland having a difficult time getting out of their own half.
ReplyDeleteCagey affair so far; not surprising at all.
ReplyDeleteHi there Bets - great to have you on board. Hope you're enjoying your trip!
ReplyDeleteHow's the crowd at the Builder's?
ReplyDeleteHopeful, responsive, not too obnoxious. But it’s early minutes yet.
DeleteEarly yellow card for Harry Kane now. Seems really soft.
ReplyDeleteShaw has done a superb job with Lamine Yamal so far; that's likely why Gareth swapped him in for Trippier.
ReplyDeleteYou're fortunate to be out of the country at the moment - we're living through crazy times.
ReplyDeleteEven Auntie Beeb?
ReplyDeleteBollocks - we're barely underway in the second half and the excellent Nico Williams scores for Spain. 0-1.
ReplyDeleteEngland really under the cosh now and the Spanish are turning on the style.
ReplyDeleteGareth needs to make some changes soon. I'd like to see Palmer on for sure. He makes things happen.
ReplyDeleteOnce again it's the captain making way for Ollie Watkins.
ReplyDeleteOh - nice turn but a shot wide from Jude. That was a chance.
ReplyDeleteOh - great save from Pickers from Yamal as Spain broke again.
