    ReplyDelete
  9. Oh- we're straight into the attack with Tyler pulling a great save out of Jack Butland.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Come on, we need better deliveries out of Kal this afternoon.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Leeds nearly score at thirty seconds . Tyler Roberts gifted the ball from a poor clearance and had his shot tipped over by Jack Butland

    ReplyDelete
  12. All Leeds from the off

    ReplyDelete
  13. We're playing good, fluid attacking stuff early on - a good sign. But I'd like to see an early goal to settle the nerves.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Jack Butland makes a meal from gathering an Ayling Leeds cross

    ReplyDelete
  15. Agreed, Bob.

    COME ON LEEDS!
    MOT!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Silly mistake there by Ben White earns him a yellow card. Stoke were nearly in there!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Ben White loses the ball by faffing and fouls Nick Powell. Is booked for that foul just outside the box

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am here after two minutes

    STUPID MODERN DAY FOOTBALL!!
Leeds lose it at the back...gets carded...thankfully the color is yellow

    ReplyDelete
  19. Into the wall...get a corner

    ReplyDelete
  20. The strike is straight into the wall and the deflected follow-up goes out for a corner. Mark 'em up!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Into the wall by Tyreese Campbell then James MCLean with a shot deflected for a corner

    ReplyDelete
  22. Leeds break then lose the ball, but immediately win it back

    ReplyDelete
  23. Lots of cardboard cutouts filling the seats. Wonder the one of Bob is

    ReplyDelete
  24. An improvised clearance there from Meslier.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Great Sweeper keeping by Meslier

    ReplyDelete
  26. Leeds look shaky at the back

    Knock it off

    Do they have the bottle?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Good pint , Dave. Ben White nearly gifted a goal due to faffing about at the back

    ReplyDelete
  28. This fixture was Bielsa's first league match in charge of Leeds which Leeds won 3-1 on opening day nearly two years ago

    ReplyDelete
  29. Such bad passing in the midfield

    ReplyDelete
  30. Thankfully a modern day cross... how pathetic is that!
    He's a professional!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Nice Leeds attack, but Stoke cleared before Leeds could get a shot off

    ReplyDelete
  32. We haven't had enough chances yet. Come on!

    ReplyDelete
  33. COME ON LEEDS.... GET A GOAL

    ReplyDelete
  34. Decent effort from Bamford... shoot more!

    ReplyDelete
  35. It opens up for Patrick but he blasts his left footed effort over. Shame.

    ReplyDelete
  36. OH! Long range effort from Bamford is just over. The closest either team has come to scoring

    ReplyDelete
  37. The Potters aren't the long ball merchants they were in previous seasons

    ReplyDelete
  38. SHOOOOOT

    WHY TAKE A SECOND TOUCH!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. A shot is Kliched off of Bruno Martins INdy 500 for a Leeds corner

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh - nice move there by Klich, but then his shot was blocked out.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think it was going wide

    ReplyDelete
  42. Bruno Martins Indy 500 needs a pit stop due to an injury in the family jewels

    ReplyDelete
  43. Corner headed away and Indy 500 is up and continues

    ReplyDelete
  44. Oh - how did that not go in?!

    ReplyDelete
  45. OMG....HOW DID THEY NOT SCORE!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. OH ! Shot from Bamford then Tyler Roberts with a shot off the pitch. How did Leeds n ot score. Spectacular clearance came from James McLean. Great passing

    ReplyDelete
  47. We are positively humming now but we need to bury one of these chances.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Danny Baath with a goal line clearance as well

    ReplyDelete
  49. Time for drinkies while it's raining cats and dogs in W Yorkshire

    ReplyDelete
  50. Phew! I need to towel off during the drinks break after all of that goal mouth action!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Bob is wishing Danny would go for a Baath and get McLean after those two goal line clearances

    ReplyDelete
  52. Oh - a cross shot by Roberts just eludes Patrick.

    ReplyDelete
  53. OH nice pass from Roberts . If only Bamford has stretched out a leg he may have given a Leeds the lead

    ReplyDelete
  54. I am indeed, David - nice one! Boom boom!

    ReplyDelete
  55. The rain is teeming down now.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Long ball from Mini Cooper cleared out by Indy 500, but Leeds we called offside

    ReplyDelete
  57. Nice long ball to Helder who had just strayed offside.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Offside by a mile...and he's complaining about it

    ReplyDelete
  59. Cheers, Bob. I thought you would enjoy that during this tense time of the season

    ReplyDelete
  60. Agreed, Bob. The announcer said that you wouldn't expect whether like this in July. We lived there long enough to know better

    ReplyDelete
  61. Very tense. I'm having kittens here!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Look.... I have made it absolutely clear....TWO United VICTORIES today....enough said!

    ReplyDelete
  63. A right old rearguard action from Stoke now.

    ReplyDelete
  64. That's what we need, Dave. MOT!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Agreed, Dave. Must win for both

    ReplyDelete
  66. Bugger! Harrison has a chance but blasts his shot too high and wide.

    ReplyDelete
  67. HIT THE BIG RECTANGLE!!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Well over by Jack Harrison after several Potters blocks

    ReplyDelete
  69. Pablo looking a wee bit chilly on the bench. I hope he's warmed up to go in the second half.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Agreed. Hopefully Hernandez is back to full fitness

    ReplyDelete
  71. Some prehistoric football from Stoke, taking a free kick from inside their own half and just kadoomphing it up the pitch to no one.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Leeds are going to score before half time

    ReplyDelete
  73. I hate these games where we have all the possession and attacking but always look prone to give up a flukey away goal.

    ReplyDelete
  74. First Test Match of the summer started yesterday
England getting walloped so far by the Windies

    ReplyDelete
  75. Leeds definitely deserve to be in the lead

    ReplyDelete
  76. Wow - seven former Premier League clubs in L1 this year?

    Can you name those?

    ReplyDelete
  77. We need a goal before the interval to settle my nerves.

    ReplyDelete
  78. We've got a penalty!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  79. WAY HAY! PENALTY TO LEEDS AS SMITH TRIPS HELDER COSTA IN THE BOX

    ReplyDelete
  80. STONEWALL ANYWAY

    Please bury it!!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Klich to take.....ONE NIL!!!

    I CALLED IT!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. YESSSSSS!!!!!!

Matty converts to put us 1-0 up!

    ReplyDelete
  83. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS! LEEDS SCORE WITH THE KLICH OF THE BALL FROM THE SPOT. WELL PLACED SENDING JACK BUTLAND THE WRONG WAY

    ReplyDelete
  86. Back on top of the league where we should be!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Great prediction, Dave

    ReplyDelete
  88. Onto an LOB blogging trio of stoppage time minutes

    ReplyDelete
  89. My update on my phone came after the goal was scored on my Apple TV...we must be live

I was a little worried before spot kick because I didn't get a score update from FotMob

    ReplyDelete
  90. Matty Klich onto seven goals on the season now - his drought appears to be over. Let's have another!

    ReplyDelete
  91. half time

    Half way there

    ReplyDelete
  92. Leeds one up at the half and a lead of several goals would not flatter Leeds

    ReplyDelete
  93. And that's half time - we troop in 1-0 up, which is a fair reflection of the match. I'm hoping that we can build on that in the second half.

    ReplyDelete
  94. The Cherries vs the Spurs about to kickoff from Dean's Court. Rooting for the Cherries to win although it's probably in vain

    ReplyDelete
  95. They're off from Dean Court.

    COME ON YOU CHERRIES!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Teams out
    MOT blurting out

    ReplyDelete
  97. Nice cross from Sissy off a pass from HArry Kane and cleared for a Spurs corner

    ReplyDelete
  98. Pablo Hernandez has come on for Tyler Roberts at the beginning of the second half.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Pablo Hernandez on for Tyler Roberts as the second half is underway from ER

    ReplyDelete
  100. VAR checking for a penalty to Spurs. Seemed a minor push in the back on Harry Kane off the corner. Nothing doing and I agree with that

    ReplyDelete
  101. Kane wants a pen

    Big push in back
    VAR says no

    I think it was

    ReplyDelete
  102. YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!HELDER COSTA PUTS LEEDS TWO UP WITH A GREAT FINISH PAST THE STRANDED JACK BUTLAND

    ReplyDelete
  103. YESSSSSSS!!!!!!

Helder adds our second. I thought he'd blown it but he stabbed it home!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Great start to the second half

    score a few more

    ReplyDelete
  105. Great through ball from Dallas. Stu not Texas

    ReplyDelete
  106. Agreed. Leeds need to score more and often

    ReplyDelete
  107. Southampton get the ball in the net... flag is up

    ReplyDelete
  108. Watching Jose throw a tantrum would sure delight Steve and Simon

    ReplyDelete
  109. Well spotted by linesman

    ReplyDelete
  110. Dallas booked for a rash foul. Stu not Texas thatis

    ReplyDelete
  111. Can't believe that was not given for a penalty...Kane was pushed down... brought down like he was many times in Russia

    ReplyDelete
  112. GRRR ... Bam hits the crossbar!

    BURY IT!!

    ReplyDelete
  113. OH! Off the bar from Banmford from two yards out after a shot from Klich was blocked

    ReplyDelete
  114. commentator says that Bournemouth have scored the most goals by set pieces...they have a corner.....go short and lose it immediately

    ReplyDelete
  115. Buitland turns around a near post shot from Bamford off a pass from Helder Costa fter tackled a defender

    ReplyDelete
  116. Another chance... well saved!

Leeds need to extend their lead

Modern Day corner follows....it is just stunning!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Oh - Patrick with another strong effort.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Corner headed away at the near post

    ReplyDelete
  119. I honestly don't know why Stoke are this bad. They've got some decent players - Jack Butland, Sam Clucas, James McLean, Sam Vokes.

    ReplyDelete
  120. An Ayling foul by Bruno MArtins Indy 500 results in a Leeds free kick

    ReplyDelete
  121. Free kick headed away by Nick Powell for a Leeds corner

    ReplyDelete
  122. YESSSSSSSSSS!!!! MINI COOPER DRIVES IN A SHOT OFF THE POST TO PUT LEEDS THREE UP

    ReplyDelete
  123. Are you watching the REAL United

    ReplyDelete
  124. YESSSSSSSS!!!!!

What a goal! Lovely team move ending with big Liam Cooper stabbing home!

    Cue the MUR pun!

    3-0!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Nice assist from Pablo Hernandez off a long possession that began with a short corner

    ReplyDelete
  126. Seven more points at most

    ReplyDelete
  127. "Mini Cooper drives it home" - I knew I could count on you!

    ReplyDelete
  128. There's 3! If Bournemouth can pull off a miracle against the Disinterested Waiters, my Thursday hate-watch will be pretty complete.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Bruno Martins Indy 500 booked for driving into a Leeds player.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Should have been four...Klich...hit the target!!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Oh - Matty misses a sitter for #4!

    ReplyDelete
  132. Good afternoon,Steve . Dave and I want the Cherries to win from a United point of view. I mentioned you in a comment when Jose threw a tantrum when the VAR decision didn't go his way

    ReplyDelete
  133. Ohhh. Klich misses a sitter.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I agree with Bob about the Potters. Based on the Squad a playoff spot should be the bare minimum not battling relegation to L1

    ReplyDelete
  135. Tyrus Campbell with a speculative effort and then he gets the hook. Lovely!

    ReplyDelete
  136. Michael O'Neill with a double change for the Potters

    ReplyDelete
  137. Glad that we're able to put the Goblins to the sword for you, mate. Welcome to the party!

    ReplyDelete
  138. Tyreese Campbell the son of former Gunners and Potters striker, Kevin

    ReplyDelete
  139. Our old boy Sam Vokes gets the hook as well. He's been anonymous today.

    ReplyDelete
  140. I saw that. I just hadn't cottoned on to what time Leeds was playing.

Don't want to jinx it, but possibly Bournemouth could hold down a point today if they have any pride at all left.

    ReplyDelete
  141. The Cherries win consecutive corners

    ReplyDelete
  142. I sure hope the real United have it this easy

    ReplyDelete
  143. My Howe I wish Eddie emphasizes the need for three points so that they are only a point behind the Hammers and Hornets . One can only hope.

    ReplyDelete
  144. All Bournemouth at Dean Court

Apparently the new ground in Bournemouth was rotated 90 deg from the time United lost in the Cup in 84(against Appy Arry's side)

    ReplyDelete
  145. Time for drinkies at Dean Court

    ReplyDelete
  146. WOW! I'm sure Dean Court has been really modernized since that giant killing

    ReplyDelete
  147. An Ayling pass from James McLean results in a Potters corner

    ReplyDelete
  148. I can't stand the Goblins. We were watching some period piece on Amazon and there's a merchant who has a factory in Stoke. When he was telling his sweetheart that he had to travel to the factory, I blurted out, "Stoke! Jesus."

    ReplyDelete
  149. Atrocious cross by a Potter after he beat the man

    Do ANY team practice crossing?
    Corners....into the box?

    ReplyDelete
  150. Corner headed away but the Potters keep possession and wina free kick

    ReplyDelete
  151. Atrocious cross by a Potter after he beat the man

    Do ANY team practice crossing?
    Corners....into the box?

    ReplyDelete
  152. Nice one, Steve. Love that Potters info

    ReplyDelete
  153. Kick save a and a beaut by Buckland

    ReplyDelete
  154. Nice Leeds break and Jack Harrison with a shot straight at Butland and forced away

    ReplyDelete
  155. Oh - great save by Butland with his feet from Jack. Honestly, this could have been 6-0 by now - and probably should have been.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Time for drinkies at ER

    ReplyDelete
  157. Butland is still a Goblin? Surely some crap premiership club can rescue him.

He's way too classy a keeper to be stranded in Mordor.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Penalty to Southampton
JWP brought down in the box

Of course, there is still VAR...given

    ReplyDelete
  159. A lad by half a dozen would not flatter Leeds

    ReplyDelete
  160. JWP....hits the bar...no goal!

    ReplyDelete
  161. YIKES! Rare error from JWP

    ReplyDelete
  162. Yeah, the Stoke tourist board has not been in touch.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Jack Butland has really declined since the Potters were relegated. Not sure if a Prem team would take him on. Perhaps as a backup and he would have to win his way into am starting role

    ReplyDelete
  164. LOL! No guided tours of the Potteries on offer?

    ReplyDelete
  165. Hand bags at Dean Court

    ReplyDelete
  166. YESSSSSSS!!!!!

    Pablo slots home #4!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  167. FOUR NIL!!
    PABLO

    Equal on GD with Baggies

    ReplyDelete
  168. Another. The blackness of my heart is getting slaked well today.

    ReplyDelete
  169. GOAL !PABLO PUTS LEEDS UP BY A BARBER SHOP QUARTET. NICE FINISH FROM THE D OFF A PASS FROM BAMFORD

    ReplyDelete
  170. That was positively Brazilian in the move. Lovely dummy from Patrick and wallop!

    ReplyDelete
  171. Congrats, Bob. Surely, Leeds have clinched the three points

    ReplyDelete
  172. LOL, Steve. That doesn't sound like you

    ReplyDelete
  173. Now United need to match United

    ReplyDelete
  174. Danny Ings gives Saints the lead at Goodison

    ReplyDelete
  175. Second sub of the day for us - Stu Dallas off for Baz Douglas.

    ReplyDelete
  176. David Brooks wins a Cherries free kick just outside the Spurs box

    ReplyDelete
  177. Actually, it's a Cherries corner

    ReplyDelete
  178. We want five! We want five! We want five!

    ReplyDelete
  179. Five would be great and well deserved

    ReplyDelete
  180. We're still disliked for the football we played in the Graham years. Why is Stoke not widely reviled for the Pulis years?

I think it's that the broken hearted Spuds fans of those days grew up to be journalists today.

    ReplyDelete
  181. They certainly should be.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Ten minutes left - surely enough time for us to get another.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Ings looks like one of those toothless extras forming the bake-knuckle fighting ring for Brad Pitt, but he's really done very well this year for Soton. They'd be in a dog fight without him.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Pass from Hernandez cleared by James Chester for a Leeds corner

    ReplyDelete
