Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Good morning,
I wake up to see Costa are two up but Newcastle score with the very last touch of the half.
Leeds fall behind early but tie it up.
None of the links worked for the p2p so I went to http://www.atdhe.net/
Great Sky link
Second half is underway at St. James' Park
According to the Sky Panel, Costa should have been unhappy if they were only 4-0 up at half. They TOTALLY dominated.
Hope that late goal changes things.
Costa have scored early. So much for the comeback
Scrappy goal from Babel from a corner.
BUGGER
SJP sounds VERY quiet
Leeds still tied at 1-1 with 25 minutes to go
Stevie G scores his second.
IT IS A ROUT!!!
Stevie G won't score a hat-trick. He comes off with 20 minutes to go.
Are Costa going to do it this year? Boy, I hope not!!!
Delph has put Leeds on top in the 73rd minute.
Good news for our Bobby
Not sure which match I will follow at 9.
Fulham/Chelsea are on FSC
Probably the Arse game
Looking back, Leeds fell behind after three minutes.
Good comeback than
Costa have a penalty. They aren't doing their goal difference doing any harm!
Alonso to take it... Five-One!!
So much for the late first half goal giving Newcastle a chance.
I thought Costa would struggle today!
1332: TEAM NEWS Arsenal v Portsmouth
Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor returns after suspension and lines up alongside Nicklas Bendtner, while Robin van Persie is among the substitutes. Portsmouth drop Jermain Defoe to the bench and bring in David Nugent to partner Peter Crouch up front.
Under ten minutes left at Stockport
Leeds score NUMBER THREE!!!
Malcolm Christie with a goal in the 86th minute
Oldham are only drawing nil nil at half time
Hiya Davey,
What stream have you found for my boys?
All over at in League 1
Stockport 1 Leeds 3
Stockport are ahead of Leeds in the table
Great result for the Elland Road outfit!
Congrats Bob
Morning Steve
Go to this website
The Arse link is on this too
http://www.atdhe.net/
I just tried to the Arse link and it just loads. I am thinking it will work at 9 o'clock.
All over at SJP
Newcastle were HOPELESS.
I hope Costa don't play like this in '09
It takes a while to load, yes?
As I said, I think it begins at nine.
The Toon Costa game cut out right after the game so I would think it starts right at kick off
Mine is taking a while to load. I am going to try another match
Aye, I'll be patient.
I was up at 4.30 taking the Gator to the airport for his flight to JAX. Then again at 6.00 because my in-laws are driving back to Wilmington. I am seriously shagged.
Still struggling to load
The Costa link opened up right away
Yikes!!
We're off at the Cottage.
COME ON FULHAM
I've got the Arse up on a Ustream Link.
I went back to p2p and the Iraggoals link at the bottom works for the Arse
Absolutely, go-on the Cottagers.
Yeah, thanks. I'm good on this link thru Iraqgoals.
Santa good to you and Kathy and the lads?
Nick with a fresh biznis buzz-cut. That's a good sign
I go to the loo for a minute and Chelski are losing!!!
The Yank scores
Everton take the lead against Sunderland and Stoke take the lead at Upton Park
Magic!!!! Good for Clint's struggles this year.
Stoke, did they score from a throw-in? They are the jammiest team in the Prem for years.
Santa was good to the Nocitos.
Glad to have this week off!
While you were away, absolutely nothing happened here. Lots of poor passing by both sides.
Stoke held their own against my lot
Pompey holding their own at the Em
Dempsey's goal was only the second goal Chelski have conceded away from home all season
Great turn by Drogs but hits his shot just wide!
Should have scored.
Aye, but class revealed itself late, didn't it?
I'm saying Stoke are jammiest, mind. Not worst. A circus act for an attack and 9, 10 players behind the ball?
Derby, West Brom, Sunderland, Bradford City, they were just terrible in recent years.
Arsenal passing but not getting a shot except for Gallas shot from a mile and a half out!!
Deco has two corners and both can't get past AJ making a wall.
Crouch off the post!!
The best part of United's match against Stoke.
For the entire, I MEAN ENTIRE, 3 minutes of added time, Stoke didn't touch the ball. United just passed the ball the entire time
Jesus, that was close.
I think that's some sort of Scottish thing, pronouncing the MOUTH bit. I think I remember remarking about Andy Gray's pronounciation of it, and I know that Kevin McCarra of the Guardian podcast does it.
Still, it sounds ignorant.
Your lot are cruel not to give Stoke a throw-in. We were generous enough to let De-Lump toss one into the area for a nod-on.
I was wondering why there were no goals yet in the Championship!! All the kick off are at 10
Pompey are asking some questions
Malouda going off injured. Hasn't been replaced yet
Everton go to up.
Malouda has gone straight down the tunnel but Big Phil hasn't replaced him yet. Anelka is still warming up in his sweats!
We look tired. And predictably unsettled at the back. Bad luck losing Djourou in the warm-up against Villa.
Why the hell doesn't Adebayor shoot???
Anelka is finally taking of his sweats, still has hat on
Ooh, Adebayor stopped by Distin
Anelka is finally on and gets a shot off with his first touch. Keeper can only parry
Cigarette-break for Malouda? He IS French after all.
Adebayor just had to toe poke it!
Exactly. You'd have snaffled that up, no fear.
Do you think Defoe is leaving Pompey?
Left on the bench for this one for Nugent
Spurs are down to ten men at the Hawthorns
Assou-Ekotto (whoever he is) with a straight red
Well he must be on his way out. I don't know why Pompey would allow it however. He's shown the best form of his start-stop career for them.
I've read the speculation that he's on his way back to Spurs, but other than a van full of cash, I can't see why he'd want that poisoned chalice.
Alex is now hurt for Chelski. He is replaced by Carvalho. Two subs in the first 36 minutes
I've heard that Spurs dropped out the reckoning.
Of course, Citeh are linked
That doesn't help West Brom, unless they also got a pen. They are rubbish and Spurs will do the predictable thing of sacrificing a forward.
West Brom are so rubbish that they will let Jermaine Jenas boss the mid with 10 men, mark my words.
Carvallo is fit? I thought he was done until Spring. That is bad news that he's back. A poxy but effective player.
Why do the teams that are the cream of the Championship come up and be the worst of the league. The runners up and play off winners do well
Sure, yellow for that tackle by Hughes. I barely remember his time at Arsenal.
Let's hope Carv hurts himself again
He is soo annoying!
half time at the Em
Disappointing by the Arse
My theory is that the teams that come up are forced to take on the Premiership with many of the same players in defence who can't make the step up, and with cast-offs and new guys up front who don't integrate into the squad in time.
Hull seem to be an example of a promoted side that has got the blend mostly correct. But I still think that even with their early success, they should concentrate on the 45-47 points they'll need to stay up, and then see what happens.
Another factor is that promoted teams reward a manager that gets them promoted by sticking with him when he may not have the goods to keep them there.
Peep-peep, I'm off to get some grub.
I agree with that but why do the Champs seem to struggle the most
Half time at the Cottage and all is good
WIgan take a late lead against Bolton
I dunno. Maybe it's that the naive style of attacking football that wins the second division title gets quickly found out in the first. And that the play-off winners are generally the grafters that look solid in the first half of the Prem season until they loose a player or two for various reasons? I dunno.
I've switched to a veetle feed. It's a bigger picture and clearer too.
A calamity moment there.
I am back from a shave
My link was gone. I have gone to the Veetle link.
Same commentators
Wow, it's obvious that we have nothing to match the height of Crouch in set pieces. I'd switch off Silvestre because Gallas is being owned out there against Crouchy.
Bugger!!!!
Lamps has scored!
I'm pissed off that Denilson just watched that ball go loose there. I don't think we had any choice but to foul at that point.
Schwarzer goes for a ball he should never go for and it lands at Lamps feet who side foots it into an open net
Inevitable at Fulham. But it would be great if they could hold on or go ahead again.
Bob won't be pleased
All the top dogs in L1 have scored early
Leicester, MK and Millwall have all scored in the opening 10 minutes
The Gator wasn't wearing the lucky Leeds shirt when I dropped him off at the airport. That's a mistake.
Hey, the won today so it didn't matter
West Ham have tied it up with Stoke
Stoke are down to ten men again. Fuller off for Violent Conduct
Stunningly, it was Carlton Cole that actually found the net for the Hammers
What a miss!!
Second Calamity moment of the match and we really should be 1-up by now.
Adebayor misses again!!
It was an open net for a second time
HIT THE TARGET MAN!!
Calamity is back.. Calamity is back!!!
Did you see that Roy Keane may go to Forest as manager? Not a bad choice. It is where he started.
They have just taken the lead at Carrow Road
Time for RVP I think. Or Vela.
I had not heard that. Yes, that might be the move for him. At that level, instilling a bit of confidence which is his metier, would be good. No need for tactical nous in the trenches, which seem to be his Achilles heel.
All Chelsea at Craven Cottage
The Arse needs to get Bendtner off for RVP
Eboue off for Vela
I don't doubt that it is. That's why I hate watching Chelsea.
Eboue exits, Vela enters. Good move.
Cole almost scores for Chelsea.. well saved by the keeper
Come on Fulham, hold on
Positive stuff from Carlos, but Adebayor looks tired. That touch was criminal.
RVP for Adebayor must be something that Wenger is mulling.
Again, good searching ball from Carlos that results in a chance for Bendtner.
Bendtner should have done better there!
Oh, I've seen that given as a pen. Shame. I'd have taken that.
Vela showing a little inexperience there. All the right stuff right up to the final ball.
Joe Cole coming off for Kalou.
That is surprising. He won't be happy
Big save by James
LAMPS SCORES FROM A FREE KICK
PLONKER!
Diop is a big guy to be trying to walk off an obvious groin problem.
Dammit, Nasri should have had a better finish there.
The ball swerved but he should have saved it
Ramsey on... what about RVP?
Lord Seb Coe in the stands at the Cottage. He is a big Chelsea fan.
Foul yes, but card no. Commentator showing their colors by calling for a yellow.
And there goes Diaby. Ramsey is small but he's in better form than Diaby.
I don't know Davey. At this point, I'd say RVP is the obvious move. For Bendtner or Adebayor, either of whom look shagged.
Definitely for Bend... he's hopeless
Good pressure now.
If we can flog Bendtner for a good price we should. We don't play to his strengths and if you'd ever seen him play for Denmark, I bet you'd have a different opinion. He doesn't have to get back and forth as much for a start.
GALLAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done Stevo
Gallas with the goal.
James is England's #1... HOPELESS
I don't think that it was as bad a decision by Calamity as the commentators do.
These two are spectacularly lazy in nearly all of their analysis. They should be sacked.
Looks like the big three are holding serve. Now it is up to United and Villa to do the same tomorrow and Tuesday
Shame there aren't any New Year's Day games. The FA Cup is on the weekend
James should be left out of the England set-up to concentrate on his Pompey form. He's incapable of doing both.
Robert Green should be the #1, but he'll have moments too because all of the prospects for the future are stuck at Premiership clubs where they get shelled every game. It would be different if Green played at Villa, or Everton, but such is life.
Now Defoe? Weird, he must be on his way out. That or Worzel Adams has gone a bit coco.
That's the sort of comedy defending that's seen us drop two points in the latter stages. Jesus wept.
Awkward fall by Diop is probably going to save him from picking up a deserved yellow for booting Denilson up in the air.
They've got a lookalike ready to replace him. Seriously, he's the spit whoever he is.
Fulham has equalized. 2-2 at Fulham!!!
And Big Phool is livid. Good.
I can't get my Arsenal link back. I'm going to be pissed if anything happens at the Emirates.
2-2, and Dempsey gets a brace. Good deal there.
C'mon Arsenal, hang on!!!
Yessssss! Not pretty, but considering the available players at the moment, a good 3-points in the bag.
Nice to see Fulham pull themselves together to salvage a draw. Good to see Spurs get beaten by West Brom. That's Harry under pressure again. And the Hammers prevail against Stoke. That'll do for now.
Davey good luck tomorrow, right? And a plague on the house of Villa on Tuesday. Tah-rah!
Newcastle U. 1 - 5 Liverpool
Arsenal 1 - 0 Portsmouth
Bolton W. 0 - 1 Wigan Athletic
Everton 3 - 0 Sunderland
Fulham 2 - 2 Chelsea
West Brom. 2 - 0 Tottenham H.
West Ham U. 2 - 1 Stoke C.
Sorry I missed the banter this morning, lads but I really enjoyed reading all of the comments, especially about the Scottish git doing the color.
An excellent win for us today over a promotion rival away. It doesn't change our league position immediately but the main thing is that the new boy Simon Grayson seems to have stopped the rot. After five losses on the trot, we've bagged four points in two games. And we've got lowly Hereford on Saturday to look forward to while the big cats are all playing in the Cup 3rd round.
Hi Gator/BDB,
We had fun with you, but I'm glad you made it to JAX. Have a great time. Steve
Sorry I disappeared but the cable guy parked his truck outside of my house, went up the pole and cut off everything!!!
I then had to go to my game.
Good results all around.
Very happy about Fulham.
If United win their three HOME games in hand we will be above Chelski and one behind Costa
Fingers crossed for United
Oh, I think I'd have had to prune something dangling from that guy for such a grievous offence.
