Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Rooney Attacks England Fans

Here's the video that is likely to make Wayne Rooney the most hated man in the UK other than BP douchebag Tony Hayward. Watch this at your peril - it will make your head explode.

He's a frustrated self entitled moron. Nothing we didn't know before a ball was kicked in this tournament.

I do think that having a camera in his face does make this kind of thing possible. If he's allowed to walk into the tunnel unaccosted, this doesn't happen.

Without absolving Rooney of his responsibilities to act like a grown-up, I hope we're not seeing a subtle creep of the media onto the field. You've seen those scenes from Latin American football where the goalscorer is interviewed on off the pitch in the middle of his goal celebration. I don't like that.

That's a fair comment, Gooner. And we got news that an irate fan burst into the dressing room and accosted Beckham after the match (not quite sure why Goldenballs was in any way responsible for the performance). That's certainly out of order.

Still, I have the sneaking suspicion that this may be interpreted as Rooney's "Let them eat cake" moment. I wouldn't be surprised if Fabio dropped him from the Slovenia game. He looked as if he'd never played the game before.

I have no excuse for him at all... I don't care that he plays at Old Trafford.

I would drop him
