We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Here's where the four playoffs stand going into this afternoon:
Romania (1) v. Greece (3)
Croatia (0) v. Iceland (0)
Sweden (0) v. Portugal (1)
France (0) v. Ukraine (2)
Romania and Greece have just kicked off - goalless so far in Bucharest.
Mitraglou has added another goal for Greece and the Greeks are almost home and hosed now. 1-4 up on aggregate now.
Croatia and Iceland have kicked off now. I'd really love to see those Icelanders make it this time.
The teams for this afternoon's friendly clash:
