Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Afternoon, chaps - England line up like this this afternoon:
Hart, Johnson, Jags, Cahill, Baines, Gerrard, Henderson, Lallana, Roon, Welly, Sturridge.
We're underway from Wembley - let's go, England!
The Wembley faithful are in good voice this evening as England knock the ball around comfortably early doors.
Peru's first real attack is nicely dealt with by Cahill who is looking comfy on the ball so far.
England's first real attack comes through Baines who robs Cruzado and romps up the pitch confidently. Poor final ball in though.
Cahill brings the ball out of defence and feeds Lallana down the right.
Very little from Roon in the first fifteen minutes. It's as if Sturridge is playing up front alone. We need him at his best.
Joe Hart alert to the danger as a through ball comes through.
Hart saves a deflected shot there. It was going wide but he couldn't take any chances.
Oh - Sturridge with a great chance from an acute angle after some sterling work from Lallana. Hit it wide.
First chance for Roon to link up with Sturridge. We need more of that.
England look the most dangerous when they win the ball back in midfield and attack quickly. Pace may be England's best quality in Brazil.
Woy looking quite pensive in this first half. I'm sure a lot is going on in that head.
Cruzado dives in and gets a yellow.
GOAL! Danny Sturridge scores the opener!
Brilliant finish. The ball came loose at the top of the box and he wrapped his left foot around it.
1-0 England!
Now England are rampant, with Lallana and Roon linking up well. Corner.
Lallana is ghosting into just the right positions where he can't be picked up by defenders. Very impressive so far.
The brass band strikes up The Great Escape once again.
Half time and England will go in thinking that that's a decent job done so far. I'd be tempted to pull a key player or two off at the interval.
England are back outfor the second half looking quite enthusiastic. Woy has ignored my advice - no changes.
Gerrard has a half chance at the 50th minute mark.
Oh - Cesar had a go from distance and wasn't far away!
Corner for England. Let's get that on someone's head.
Good tracking back from Roon there but do we really want him making slide tackles?
Peru make the first change - Hurtado on for Ramirez.
Subs warming up now - Wilshere, Sterling and so others.
Wilshere coming on for Gerrard. Nice one, Woy!
Martin Tyler announces that Arsene Wenger has signed a new three-year contract at Arsenal.
GOAL! Gary Cahill gets England's second. My predictions are coming up trumps tonight.
A simple English style goal. Good ball over from the corner and a bullet header.
2-0!
Now it's Sterling on for Roon. Again - an excellent change to protect some legs.
Lallana has also done really well winning balls back. He's certainly done himself a lot tonight.
Wahay! It's 3-0 as Jags stabs home after the keeper had spilled the corner. Set pieces are coming up trumps for England tonight.
So that's Sturridge's fourth, Cahill's third and Jags' third as well. Good signs for England.
Chris Smalling and Jamie Milner on now for Jags and Adam Lallana.
Fifteen minutes left and it's all going really well for England.
No injuries, please!
England winning the ball back really well now.
Another corner opportunity and now John Stones comes on for Leighton Baines.
Spain are at 0-0 with Bolivia getting close to half-time.
There's a paper airplane that's landed on the Wemberley turf now. Big laugh from the crowd.
Ross Barkley coming on now for Sturridge.
Oh - Sterling had a half chance there but didn't quite know whether to cross or shoot.
Sterling wins another corner.
Peru starting to look really ragged now. Could be a chance for a fourth.
Almost 84K in Wemberley tonight for the England send-off.
Henderson still full of running in the 92nd minute.
England have one more corner.
And that's it - a comprehensive 3-0 win over inferior opposition and a perfect warm-up for England, which allowed Sturridge to build upon his confidence.
That's it for me this afternoon. Cheerio, lads!
