We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

USA, Canada and Mexico Get the World Cup in 2026!

The prospects for US Soccer went from the devastation of not qualifying for Russia 2018 to the dreamworld winning the bid to co-host the 2026 World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico in one fell swoop this morning. But will Donald Trump scupper the deal by angering Canada and Mexico?

Absolutely delighted with the news. Despite Trump, those are the choices. Three venues will be in Mexico and three in Canada. There sixteen venues in the U.S. that will be narrowed down to ten. Sixty matches will be played in the U.S. with ten each in Mexico and Canada, which will host matches through the round of sixteen then from the quarters on all matches will be played in the U.S. with the final at Met Life Stadium. The nearest venue to Yours Truly is Monterrey, Mexico with Houston the next nearest venue, but it may not make the final cut. Something to ponder for the next eight years.
