Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The coverage has started on Fox with the hostess joined by Georgio Chielini, Peter Schmeichel and a guy who's really familiar but I can't quite place him.

The foundation of the German lineup are Bayern and Leverkusen players. Contrast that with the Jocks who have several Championship players. They may be group makewieights, but better than sides of a decade ago.

Jamal Musiala of Germany was eligible to play for England , but opted for Germany.

A fairly disastrous first half for the Jocks. They're 3-0 down to goals by Wirtz, Musiala and a penalty by Havertz. And they're down to ten men having had Pontius sent off for a desperate two-footed lunge.

Hi David - sorry I missed you today. I hope you enjoyed the opener. A real stroll in the park for the Germans only slightly marred by that Rudiger clanger. A long way back for the Jocks now.
