Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The Coke Playoff - Leeds vs. Watford Live!

Here we go! Cardiff is rocking and I'm hopeful. If you're out there, join me for the match that will determine who joins Reading and Sheffield Utd in the Premiership next season.

I just got up. Late night. Sorry to see that Watford are one up.

I guess I haven't downloaded either Realplayer or Windows Media Player onto my iMac so I can't get it.

I looked at the download instructions and they're too tedious to work with right now. It's completely amazing that there's never just an "install this fucker now" tab and that's it. Are there really all that many people out there that need 16 clicks to put a program on their computer? And these guides that you're supposed to read before you download it. Why not do it step by step? I cannot for the life of me see the utility of most download procedures. Imagine buying soap this way. Do you want soap - click for yes. Do you want colored soap - click for yes. Do you want colored soap with...fuck off!!!

I'll just follow along with the text.

Bugger. That was a bit of a disaster. Is it nerves from your boys?

It does seeem however that Watford are now protecting the lead--something that Championship clubs may not be able to do on a consistent basis. At this level, they should be trying to go for a third and knock you out.

To try the rope-a-dope now with Leeds having 3 strikers on must mean you're in with a chance of getting back into this one.

A sentence I never expected to read

67 mins: Leeds are looking to the talents of Eddie Lewis more and more as the game progresses and he whips in a good cross from the left but Foster saves.

Undoubtedly yes. It seems he's a new man from his English experience. I'll be very interested in seeing him this summer.

Yes, I think Convey could easily start a match but at this point I'd like to see if Lewis would keep him on the bench. I don't believe that Bobby has managed to learn to put in a cross that's not a daisy cutter.

Still, Convey has a special relationship with Arena that could see his surprise inclusion.

Well, it is looking like you need a miracle now. There's just not enough time left. Sad that one of those Watford clearances didn't fail. If you were just one behind, I could still see it.

That's the nightmare completed now. They've got their defense set and they're three up.

What a shame. Watford bring nothing to the Premiership.

Leeds would rekindle the Man Utd rivalry and have a ding-dong twice a season with Neil Warnock's collection of ASBOs at Sheffield.

Sorry Bob,
Thanks for the phone call. I wish you had better news.
I was reading some of your other posting. I hope some of the games are on for the World Cup. I know a lot of times it is blacked out.
