Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

That is quality stuff, Gooner Steve. "Come on Svenni baby," indeed. It's not often you hear the phrase "our inscrutable Swede" in a pop song. It's very Streets-like with the Cockney spoken word thing. I'm digging it. Will probably send it on to Nick and Steven, unless you want to take the honors.
Where'd you get the "Sven as Mr. Burns" graphic?
I agree that it is not Three Lions but not bad.
I couldn't listen to it all because it was bothering the TV watchers in the room.
Bob -- Nick and Steven will have it. Half of their material is stolen from the Football Unlimited's Fiver or Football 365's Media Watch.
The image is from one of those reader galleries on the FootballUnlimited site.
The song is clever, but you can't imagine 7000 sunburnt yobs belting any of it out to gee-up the lads, now can you?
They played yet another England WC song on the latest episode of Fighting Talk. Based on that old Sham 69 chesnut, it goes something like:
"Come on, come on, hurry up England, come on.
Come on, come on, hurry up England, come on.
We're going to Berlin."
We're going to Berlin."
No that the yobbos could definitely sing along to.
Ahh, you beat me to it. I was listening in the hammock and it made me jump out and download it. I just sent it along to you.
They should have left the "we're gawwing daawn the paahb" lyric. That would have still worked.
What about that tune that was set to the theme of the "Dad's Army" music. You know:
"You do you think you are kidding Mr. Klinsmann..."
Any chance of a download of that one?
that song is soo good. how do i actually download it?
