Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

That is very funny.
I think he dives far too much but he is not the only one!!! I can't stand it when he dives. It is pathetic. Later in the game he left his trailing leg and clipped the defenders leg on purpose. PATHETIC but I do have to defend him a little on the penalty. He did not actually dive and did not ask for a penalty. He stumbled over the challenge and lost his footing. I don't think Boro lost the game because of it. The rebound fell right to Rooney who had a clear shot. The whistle blew before he kicked it and the shot was blocked(luckily) but if the ball was live I feel Rooney would have buried it.
What about Rosicky's dive? RVP's handball? Just as much cheating going on there.
The stumble reminds me of the Gerrard incident on the opening day of the season. Stevie avoided the challenge and fell. Never touched but if he didn't avoid it there definitely would have been contact.
I am not defending Ronaldo but I don't think this is the one to complain about.

I've had to suffer reading comments from those politically correct numpties that have defended Skippy because Gerrard does it, RVP does it, XYZ does it. None of it is defensible and it's a shame that United supporters can't just leave it like that without sneaking snidey deflective comments about RVP or Rosicky or Gerrard into it.

The short answer is that Skippy's got previous a mile long and that's why he's reviled and rightly reviled.

It is true that his dive wasn't the difference against Boro. The chasm of footballing class was the difference.

Shame that's not enough for the little tosser.

I think if Keano were still running things on the pitch at United he'd have clipped the little pissant round the ear the first few times he'd tried it. That's essentially what happened with John Terry sorting out Drogba last season and you can see the effect this year.

Actually, I thought from the replays that both Arsenal penalties were legit. Don't know about the handball - like Arsene I did not seen the incident.

Apparently we had a third disallowed against Barnsley - is anyone bellyaching about that on Five Live? Didn't think so (grumble, grumble, mutter mutter).
