We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

FIFA World Cup Weekly podcast

The podcasts devoted to previewing the 2010 World Cup in South Africa are beginning to pop out of the woodwork now. Along with the Guardian's excellent Football Weekly pod, Gabby Logan has a WC preview through 606. For those of us looking for coverage a little less dismissive of the US prospects, look no further than ESPN's "FIFA World Cup Weekly" podcast featuring the team that will bringing us wall-to-wall telly coverage starting on June 11 including Lexi, Robbie Mustoe and no doubt "The Auld Onion Bag" himself.

Also not to be missed, The Armchair World Cup on 5Live starting the 5th of June. Alan Davies with comedian Ian Stone will be taking the piss out of John Terry and Ashley Cole just to name two.
