Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

I know that each group winner plays a runner up that is from a different country. Since today is my birthday, I would like Manchester United to play FC Kobenhavn as my birthday present.

It's official! The ties for the knockout round have been dtermined and some interesting ties at that. I am upset at Chelski for stealing my birthday gift. We will thrash you on Sunday. There will be a repeat of last year's Champion's League Final as well as the 2006 final. Real Madrid will want to avenge their elimination at this stage last year while Arry and his Spurs face another trip to the San Siro. Here is the draw in full :

AS Roma vs Shakhtar Donetsk
AC Milan vs Spurs
Valencia vs FC Schalke
Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich !!!!
Lyon vs Real Madrid
Arsenal vs Barcelona (interesting)
Marseille vs Manchester United
FC Copenhagen vs Chelski (lucky buggers)

I believe we should be able to be handle Marseille.

Now for the Europa League draws and more from Sepp Blatter ( as if he doesn't say enough already).

The draw was made for the first two knockout rounds of the Europa League aka the round of 32 and the round of 16. I will mention the British teams.

Man Citeh vs Aris Thessaloniki. If Citeh win then they face Besiktas or Dynamo Kiev in the next round.

Liversox vs Sparta Prague.

If Liversox win then they face Lech Pznan or SC Braga in the next round. I tihnk Poznan gave Citeh a otugh time in the group stages.

Rangers vs Sporting Lisbon. If they win then they face Lille or PSV Eindhoven in the next round. My response to Rangers is yes you got a tough draw, but did you really expect to get Hamilton Accies or St. Mirren?

Next is Sepp. He wants the 2022 World Cup to be played in the winter and to have all leagues shut down during the tournament due to temperatures of 50 dgrees Celsius during the summer. He also apologized for offending homosexuals and said that he does not promote discrimination. Any comments about Sepp?

Greetings from London. I'm well ensconced in my parents' flat in West Hampstead. I did have a chance to have a brief chat with both the Gooner and UWS before my flight last night and both seemed rather pleased with the draw. Best of luck to all the English sides in the knock-out stages.
