I'll be home a couple minutes after kick off
I look forward to chatting with you. I just finished watching the moment of silence from Boston.
The teams are out on the pitch. Ian Darke and Stuart Robson are the announcers.
They're off from OT.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
RVP
Great crossfield ball from Roon to Valencia. He laid it off to Raffa who crssed to Giggs who laid it off for RVP to easily score.
Nearly 2-0 as Valencia crossed for RVP to volley just over.
I AM HOME JUST AS THE GOAL WAS SCORED!!!
YES!!!
RVP ALMOST IN AGAIN
COME ON UNITED!!!!
A pass from Nzogbia to absolutely nobody and out of play. Long may that continue.
United to score again and often!!
Welcome home.
WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE!
I sure hope so.
Guzan easily catches from Giggs.
It was a year ago today that United 'lost' the title in the 4-4 game against Everton
It was a year ago today that United 'lost' the title in the 4-4 game against Everton
A cross from Weimann but nobody was up to connect
Dangerous cross by Villa... knock it off
A win today is a perfect way to make up for that on the one year anniversary.
Great run by Giggs... headed back... almost in again!
COME ON UNITED
WE'RE PLAYING WITH PACE... LUV IT
A great run and cross by Giggs and Rvp Knocked it down. A superb tackle by Ron Vlaar on Kagawa prevented a second United goal.
oooh... off the post by Rafa!!!
GET A SECOND!
OH! OFF THE SUNDAY ROAST BY RAFFA.
This is how United should be playing all year
I love it too.United are up for it. I think they went to give Villa a right thrashing and why not?
This is the United I remember
Struth.... close by Benteke
PHEW! great counter by Villa . Nice pass by Weimann and Beneteke shot over with just the keeper to beat
Don't be silly United
OH... WHAT A GOAL!!!
WHAT A VOLLEY!!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
GOAL OF THE SEASON. RVP WITH A VAN BASTEN TYPE VOLLEY FROM A LONG DIAGONAL BALL FROM ROON.
Afternoon, boys - sounds as if everything's going swimmingly.
To make things even better, looks as if the FA is poised to hand out a substantial fine to Liverpool's Little Nibbler - Luis Suarez. That will give RVP a chance to equal or top his 23 goals.
Sorry I won't be around this afternoon to celebrate with you - just too much going on at work.
RVP IS BACK
RVP IS BACK
SCORE MORE UNITED!
Wow - I'm sorry that I missed that one - sounds exceptional.
sorry... you'll be missed
23 Prem goals for RVP
How far behind Vampire
Hello Bob. Sorry you won't be around for the celebrations. It is going rather swimmingly and great to hear Suarez won;t be around for a while.
By my calculations, that's 22 for RVP. A hat-trick today and he'd equal the Littler Nibbler's record.
Nice effort by Carrick!!!
I think one behind. My brother is a Liverpool fan and wants Suarez gone this summer. It would be today if it was his decision.
First championship.. score a hat-trick... great night
It was from thirty yards out . A first time volley in the corner from a fifty yard diagonal pass from Roon.
Giggs just offside from a superb pass from RVP after a pass from Kagawa.
Ian and Stuart need to shut it about offside on the goals.
Naughty by Giggs on Agbon.
Robin van Persie arrived from Arsenal last summer - and has justified his £24m transfer fee by scoring 23 league goals.
If United can keep the ball from Weimann then Villa will do naught.
He sure has, UWS. No argument here.
He may have been slightly offside on the second goal, but how can you deny such a superb goal?
Horrible cross from Joe Bennett straight from the Blades Academy.
MORE OF THE SAME PLEASE.
DO BETTER RAFFA!
Joe Bennett is having such a tough time at left back that Valencia is getting past him with the greatest of ease.
Kagawa concedes possession.
De Gea does well to catch a cross from Joe Bennett.
Good catch by De Gea
He has grown this season
I think we don't need another keeper for years to come...unless he wants to go home to Spain
Useless from Roon and a foul by Evra.
PICK UP THE PACE UNITED!
Evra is booked.
I agree, UWS. What will happen to Lindy? Off to ER?
So, first championship medals for
Jones? Kagawa, RVP. Anyone else
Chris Bevan, BBC Sport at Old Trafford
Manchester United 2-0 Aston Villa
"The Manchester United fans are enjoying themselves now. First a chant for the noisy neighbours: 'You're not champions anymore', swiftly followed by one for their old rivals: 'Are you watching Merseyside?' I doubt it, to be honest, but if they are then they just saw a goal worthy of winning title no.20, from United's no.20 Robin van Persie."
The long Villa free kick is headed out by Phil Jones. Now Villa have another free kick.
A first for De Gea.
Missed him
Where is Macca these days?
As you said, pick up the pace again United
I agree with Chris.Clinching number twenty with goals from number twenty
What if Villa score... we'll be back like the rest of the season
Nzogbia wins a corner.
NEXT GOAL IS VITAL!!!
I was thinking the same about Macca. He seemed to have sarcastic remarks for Ian the last few matches and that may have cost him.
Absolutely. I sure hope it's a third United for United.
YES!!!!!!!!!
HAT-TRICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very unselfish from GIGGS
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
A HAT-TRICK FOR RVP AND A SECOND ASSIST FOR GIGGS.
I thought Giggs took too long and blew it , but as you said unselfish and now we must have surely clinched the title.
I think RVP and Giggs were onside.
RVP must be tied with the Vampire Cannibal.
Villa need to regroup for the relegation six pointer vs Sunderland next Monday in a battle of the last two clubs managed by Martin O'Neill.
According to my list, Suarez had 23 and RVP had 21... not any more
Great to hear. Thanks for the update.
Villa play Wigan at the DW on the final day. That may decide who falls through the trap door along with reading and QPR.
About time United have scored some goals!
A speedy break lead by Delph , but United did well to recover.
I agree. Will they hit Villa for eight like Chelsea did on the 22nd ?
Another great cross by Giggs , but Guzan did well to get down and catch it.
A decent chance for Agbon and not far off after great work from Beneteke.
Beneteke is flagged offside off a cross from Loughton.
Hernandez' first title
This really hurts Villa's GD
They are now 3 behind Wigan
RVP called for tug on Delph. Rather soft!
I thought Chicha won a title two years ago. Is that correct?
2 added minutes
High and wide by Vlaar .Two minutes of stoppage time.
I remember that game
3-0 up at Old Trafford and it was 3-2 before half time
Tied 3-3
You're right
He scored inside the first minute in the clinching match against Chelsea
I think I remember it too. Fortunately., this Villa side don't have many goals
Get it over Evra!
Half time... THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!!
Wonder how United will come out in the second half
Halftime and United lead 3-0 as number twenty has scored goals that should clinch number twenty in 45 minutes.
Just checking in again - wow - RVP is running riot. I've got him at 23 goals now. Level with Cannibal Luis. Real implications for the PPP game.
ALL three goals could have been offside!!!
Actually, I'm looking at the feed from Football365. RVP's wonder volley was his 23rd so the hat-trick goal was his 24th. He's now one clear of The Little Nibbler. As I mentioned earlier, the FA is likely to end Suarez's season today with a lengthy ban.
If only you could play Villa every week, eh?
Villa are now on 34 games played (one more than Wigan) and 34 points, with a dreadful -27 GD (four goals worse than Wigan's GD). Dire days at Villa Park.
I have 5Live still going. I listened to it on the way home
Don't know why it hasn't cut off
I think RVP now has 24

You won't believe this, but I have to leave fifteen minutes early.I called the orthodontist asking when Jacquelyn's next appointment is and they said TODAY! I made the appointment six months ago, not thinking that United would clinch the title so early!
Great from Chris!
Of course, these two teams were the top two in the First Premier League season
Will SAF be the oldest manager to clinch a top flight title in England?
WHAT A PLONKER MUR!!!
Away we go as United attack the Stretford End
The second half is underway. El Ahemedi is on for Nzogbia. Why was he replaced?
GET INVOLVED
Ross Lawson: "That's what Fergie brings to United. Clinical, professional, outstanding performances. Expect no dip in intensity after HT."
Sam: "Rooney will be a stonking central midfielder. Exceptional vision and passing ability. Just needs to sharpen up some decisions."
James Collins: "As a Liverpool fan it hurts me to say this, but Utd are simply the best. They will dominate English football for yrs to come."
United could still get 96 points this season and beat Chelsea's record
Sorry, UWS.I called this morning and Jacquelyn can't miss the appointment. I had no way of knowing six months ago.
The corner from Giggs is headed out.
I'll text you
United won't get the trophy until they play Swansea on May 12
A poor corner from Giggs is shot wide by Roon.
Cheers UWS.Interesting that these were the top in the inaugural Prem season. How Villa have declined!
I was in Charlotte for the reverse fixture
United two nil down and win 3-2
United have no draws at home this season
Just two losses
De Gea fumbled a cross from Weimann and out by Raffa for a Villa corner.
Knock it off De Gea
Header saved off the line by RVP!!!
A header from Weimann off the corner is headed off the line by RVP.
He's everywhere!
2106:
Manchester United 3-0 Aston Villa
Manchester United have won the title on this day before. Some of you might remember, some of you might not. But Sir Alex secured his sixth Premier League title on this day in 2000 thanks to a 3-1 win at Southampton. A quiet opening to the second half. Nothing much to report yet.
We won by a large margin that season much to the disgust of Wenger!I didn't realize it was on this day.Great anoraking.
United getting sloppy!
Roon loses possession.. nice save De Gea
Great save by De Gea from Beneteke as Roon gifted possession.
KNOCK IT OFF UNITED!
SCORE AGAIN AND OFTEN!
United have come out like the match is over!
Don't make it interesting AT ALL
Ian cheats off of UWS.
SHOCKING BEHAVIOR FROM IAN!
He did mention that Roy Keane was PFA Player of The Year and Footballer of the Year
I prefer boring!
SAF is unhappy too, agreeing with us.
Villa look the more likely to score
I am not liking this spell of Villa pressure.
Great tackle by Phil Jones on Benteke as Roon gives it away yet again.
United can't keep possession
RVP is offside.He looked level.
Sounds like United have taken the foot off the gas in the second half.
This is what they have done all season... but most of the time they have only scored a single goal and are forced to hang on
Leeds get a mention on the box
Delph being voted Young Football League player of the year once
Chris Bevan, BBC Sport at Old Trafford
"Er, maybe Manchester United did drink champagne at half time?
I thought Beneteke was voted Young Player of The Year
You are correct, Bob.
A half hour away from number twenty thanks to number twenty
Nice hit by Roon.. blocked
Roon with another.. over
Roon has a shot blocked then well over by Roon off a pass by RVP.
No Delph was voted that when he was with Leeds in the Championship
A horrible cross by Weimann, thankfully for United.
United do have a big say on the Champions League positions. Arsenal and Chelsea next up
I see. He has had a tough time with Villa.
Ian stated that Lindy may get some matches as he is only two short of getting an BPL medal.
Becchio, Delph and Beckford all shouldn't have left Elland Road!
A first title for wellie. Was he on loan at Sunderland two years ago?
TWENTY minutes away from TWENTY Championships!!!!!!!!
I agree. Leeds may have been in the Prem by now but for that.
Giggs wins a corner off of Lowton!
Welbeck on for Rooney
Well stated, UWS.
Here come Wellie for Roon
Evans had a shot cleared off the line off the corner as wellie is on for Roon.
I have to leave, but have recorded the match so I can watch the lads celebrating.
CHEERS!
Decent effort there... saved by De Gea
Do you want texts?
Kagawa witha a great move... misses from 10 yards...hits it that far over
WE KNOW WHO WE ARE
WE KNOW WHO WE ARE

Not too impressed with the second half display but the first half was good enough
Should have scored more though
FIVE MINUTES TO GO
Free kick chance for Villa....straight to De Gea
Banners shown with 20 TIMES on it
LUV IT
2 added minutes
Fans going potty
RVP almost sets up Wellie
That will probably be the last chance
