Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

In a battle of playoff teams, Blackpool have the lead at Derby County
Roon is suspended as Moyes has made seven changes. RVP has returned for United as he will play up front with Chicha.
A moment's applause for Nelson Mandela.
They're off at OT.
COME ON MAN UNITED!
Both teams are coming off of bad mid week defeats. The Toon lost 3-0 at Swansea while Everton at OT for the first time since August 1992.
Newcastle last won at OT in 1972.
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
Nasty foul by Cabaye on Raffa.
Morning MUR
Another poor display by United today?
I have never been so disgusted with them since the late 90s... we had are run!
Good morning UWS. How have you been?
Don't see how Nani can still get a game
Cleverley just sucks
Jones doesn't give me confidence
NO ONE on United can cross the ball
Rafa just proved my point
I hope this is just a transitional period. Our worst form since 2003-2006.
He sure did. I think Jones will be a decent player as he gains experience. I agree about the others.
I am fed up with players and media saying how well Valencia has been playing.... HE CAN NEVER CROSS THE BALL! If he happens to get it past the defender, it is too deep
I am fed up with players and media saying how well Valencia has been playing.... HE CAN NEVER CROSS THE BALL! If he happens to get it past the defender, it is too deep
Are you glad United are starting with two up front. Sven changes from that midweek debacle.
Decent save by Krul from Jones.
I have been so negative this morning but this team deserves it.
These players wouldn't have gotten a sniff in the mid 90s and 07-09
Nice pass by Jan but Jones with a shot I knew hadn't a hope of going in
I think Valencia is doing a little better than last season, but he definitely needs to work on his crossing.
I am only here for the first half because I am traveling down to Long Island for Matt's College Showcase Tourney. Last week Boston, this week NYC
I know what you mean about Valencia but what good is a winger that can't cross it!
United with a chance... two weak efforts by Clev
BLOODY HELL! Toon blocked three shots. United should have at least tested Krul
wishing Matt the best. Did he help his chances last weekend?
If Jan progresses he will be good enough to be compared to the mid 90s players, in my opinion.
THis is the last weekend of tourneys!!
I could do with a break
I am going to Charlotte the day after Boxing Day so I won't be around for the following Sunday and NYD fixtures
The U.S. and England screwed with the World Cup draw?
Thanks
He did well last week but who knows!
He is interested in going to the college that his coach coaches for!
COMPLETELY SCREWED!!
A busy Schedule for the Nocitos! How did Matt do last weekend?
Which College?
A win today still won't put us in the top SIX
Nani down. Any better than when he is standing up?
College of St. Rose... in Albany
The best we can do is to hope for the Wenger Trophy. Sad, but true.
What would be your starting line up for United these days?
Hope his wish comes true. Sounds like a private four year school. Is that correct?
Let me think : let's see if there are eleven good enough to make it!
De Gea
Rafa
Vidic
Smalling/Jones
Evra
Januzaj
Carrick
Zaha
Rooney/Kagawa
RVP
Not very frightening!!
Roon and Kagawa rotating with each other
What would happen if there was no Champions League!!
De Gea, Raffa, Jones , Evans , Evra, Jan, Carrick, Roon, Giggs, Chicha, RVP.
The best I could do.
We're not pressuring them at all
WE'RE AT HOME!!!
Vidic in for Evans, but otherwise keep the same lineup.
Yours isn't too frightening either
I think are gravy train of success is taking a pitstop
We had a great run
I recorded the match on Wednesday A really sickly performance and we got what we deserved.
I would definitely prefer Hernandez than Welbeck.
He can't score and has no pace... what's the point
I agree, unless it's the transition of changing managers.
United win a corner on a break started by Jan
Nice corner from RVP, but nobody could connect.
Sorry, UWS. I tried me best.
The FA Cup Third Round draw is tomorrow at 4:10 PM. I guess that's UK time.
Bloody hell Nani!!!
AND Jones!
Well wide by Cabaye as he snatched a shot.
Blackpool one up at Derby County at the half.
Jones has disappointed me
He made the stupid decision that gave away the free kick that gave away a free kick that Stoke scored from
At Spurs, he let the ball bounce over him which caused Evans to foul which caused United's wall to do their best Van Hallen.... JUMP
Ten points dropped at home already this season... more than all of last season!!
Ouch UWS! I was trying not to think of that song.
I agree. United have been piss poor this season unless you count the cups.
Decent cross by Jan headed out by Williamson for a corner off a free kick from RVP.
As you can see, I am VERY negative about my beloved United
I think I have grown though... if they lost it used to ruin my weekend. I just say to myself now... I have had my time
WHAT A PATHETIC attempt of a bloody short corner!!!
I think I know why England got a tough group. There was an extra European team in pot 4, so England got moved to pot 2 with the African teams so they would get a seeded and a European team
Well stated, UWs. I agree
Will you watch the Third Round draw on your I phone tomorrow?
Where's the pace of passing and movement
Is the third round draw tomorrow?
No, I will be in Long Island
What time is it
I should be able to listen to it on my iPhone
According to wikipedia, it's at 4:10 , I guess UK time.
No, I was listening to the draw on Five Live
Before they did the full draw, they drew a European team and placed it in Pot 2. It wasn't revealed who it was until it was pulled out of Pot 2
It was Italy that was pulled. So, England stayed in Pot 4 and unluckily went in the Amazon Group
99% humidity scares me more than Italy and Uruguay
Derby County tie it up vs Blackpool early in the second half.
Get off your damn phone Hair Bear
That clears it up . Thanks , UWS. The weather should not be bad as it will be during the Brazi winter. Hopefully , England can play in southern Brazil where average temps are in the 50s and 60s during winter. Humid if in northern Brazil.
Bloody hell.. what a pathetic idea of a free kick!!
Hair Bear didn't even make the squad today.
I am irritated!
I heard England's group is the worst for weather
BLOODY HELL RVP
This United SQUAD... can't pass the ball
That's right. They decided the venues for the groups. Three and out for England, I am sorry to say.
The Toon to join the Baggies and Toffees in ending winlees streaks at OT?
Can't wait for those damn rugby lines fade away. They are there from the Rugby League World Cup Final from last weekend... it looks like we're playing at Wigan!!!
Poor by Chicha. Bloody pathetic.
United are clueless!
Who can make it better?
WIll they bring in players in Jan... they never used to
Wesley S. is being talked about
Useless effort by Hernandez
I was wondering about that. Looked like rugger
Should have been booked
RVP's corner doesn't beat the first man!!
United need something in Jan. will they be able to attract those players now that SAF is no longer in charge?
"lackluster"
Good word
Also... NOT GOOD ENOUGH would work too
I agree with both statements.
How about piss poor and shite?
Stoppage time at OT.
Stoppage time at OT.
A big problem with United's fullbacks is that their not very good defenders!
Great save by De Gea... phew
Three minutes of stoppage time as Derby now lead Blackpool 2-1.
Point proved there by Evra's sleep walking
What a relief . Nearly the lead for the Toon as Evra perfectly illustrated your point.
Derby now lead 3-1 after trailing at the half.
De Gea saves a header from Debichy off a cross from Santon and it's 0-0 at the half.
As the half comes to end, I am about to hit the road
I will listen to second half commentary on Talk Sport and then listen to Soccer Saturday on Sky website
End of half
Sorry I have to bugger off
COME ON UNITED
Unconvincing is a really lenient way to describe United's performance. Pure rubbish is more like it.
Cheers UWS. it was great chatting. Wishing Matt the best.
The second half is underway from OT.
STYOP SUCKING, UNITED!
Hard to believe that the Toon have out shot United and have 54% of the possession with the match at OT!
Decent cross from Nani and nearly an OG by Williamson, but Debuchy headed back to Krul.
Derby County now lead Blackpool 4-1.
Ben Arfa warming up for the Toon. More threatening than anyone in the United squad.
Chicha through on goal and shoots straight at Krul then a comfortable save by Krul from a volley by Jan.
Jan wins a free kick near the corner flag, surrounded by three defenders
Free kick by Nani headed out for a corner by Collocini. a scramble in the box off the corner. Hand ball on the line off a header from evra? No the header came off the post and off of Anita's arm.
DAMN IT!
NEWCASTLE TAKE THE LEAD. CABAYE SCORES WITH A GREAT FINISH . PATHETIC FROM EVRA AS HIS BACK HEADER ALLOWS CISSOKO TO GO DOWN THE RIGHT AND PUT IN A PASS FOR CABAYE.
Derby County take a 5-1 lead vs Blackpool on stoppage time after trailing at the half.
A miserable week for the Tangerines, who lost at Yeovil in midweek and finished with eight men!
Wilfred Zaha about to come on for a Prem debut for United. They need something.
Derby County thrash Blackpool 5-1.
Zaha will come on for the useless Nani and about bleedin' time! Now he is on for Nani. Hope he can make something happen.
evra actually made a tackle. It's a miracle!
Hopefully, Zaha can do something none of the other United players can do:
PUT IN A DECENT CROSS!
Anderson on for Not so Clever Boy. How does that help us?
Free kick to United
BLOODY HELL! RVP has a goal disallowed for offside as it was headed on by Evans. He was just off. Great free kick by Jan
Zaha curls an effort wide in his first action.
Ben Arfa fouls Jan near the box
The curling free kick from RVP went just wide as evans failed to make contact at the far post.
The final roll of the dice for Moyes as Valencia is on for Raffa. Hope it's snake eyes for once!
Shola Ameobi on for Cabaye the scorer, who is also on a yellow.
Bloody useless from Anderson.
The final roll of the dice for Pardew as Yanga Mbiwa is on for Debuchy.
Newcastle last won at OT on Feb 12, 1972, a week after that famous cup loss at non league Hereford United.
Bloody useless from Valencia.
United fans headed for the exit.
Yanga Mbiwa fouls Evra near the corner flag.
Free kick from Jan headed away
Into stoppage time and there will be three minutes.
Anita booked for a foul on Anderson.
Collocini heads away the free kick from RVP then poor from Zaha.
Now United fans exit in mass.
Yanga Mbiwa wins a corner off of Evans and that should do it.
Now they win a free kick by the corner flag
Another Toon corner. Taken short and now they win another.
That's it and Newcastle win 0-1 as it's their first win at OT since Feb 12, 1972. A really poor United performance. Not good enough.
Also two losses in a row at OT for the first time in eleven years.
Next on NBCSN is Sotton vs Citeh. An interesting battle of South American managers in match won 3-1 by the Saints in February that was basically the beginning of the end for Booby Manc. A different outcome this time around?
Citeh with a great 2-3 win at the Hawthorns in midweek as they were three up at one point. The slumping Saints lost at home to Villa in midweek.
A minute's applause for Nelson Mandela.
They're off from St. Mary's

Argyle now three up vs Wellie.
Middlesbrough take the lead at St. Andrews.
Pantilimon saves comfortably from a long range Jack Cork effort
Citeh should have gone two up as Aguero blasted over in the six yard box.
Brighton two up vs the Foxes.
A spell of saints pressure as they win a couple of corners .
Nice through ball from Negredo and Aguero snatches at an effort that is easily saved.
Bolton take the lead vs Donny.
OH! The Saints should have tied it up as Lallana played Luke Shaw down the left and his tasty cross was headed wide by Luke Chambers from two yards out.
