Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The appointment of former United assistant, Rene Muelensteen, has made a big difference as this is a completely different Fulham side. They are playing with lots of passion . Goals by Steve Sidwell and a penalty by Drac have them two up vs the Villa
BUGGER ! THEEVIL BLADES WON 0-2 AT CAMBRIDGE UNITED IN THE SECOND ROUND OF THE CUPEARLIER THIS MORNING. Bristol City one up at Tamworth late in the second half.
BLOODY NORAH! Fulham only away from safety by goal difference. The Cottagers are up to third from bottom , level on points with Palace and the Hammers. Ahead of Palace on goals scored and behind the Hammers on goal difference.
Looking bleak for Sunderland , who are now five points from safety as John's Hammers are being sucked into a relegation battle. Cardiff and the Baggies dragged in too.
OH! Off the post by Risse and nearly 3-0. Who are these Guys? I don't think United can beat them
Great cross by that pitbull, Karagounis, who is having a superb match. Has been fouled by Delph and Herd, which resulted in both Villa bookings.
Karagounis fell out of favor with Martin Jol, but is defying father time.
I guess not as he is off by personal request and gets a deserved ovation by the fans and a deserved hug by the gaffer. Kasami, the young Swiss attacking midfield player, on in his place,
Nearly an OG as a run by Kasami led to confusion in the Villa defense and nearly 30.
Damien Duff on for Kacaniclic, who also gets a standing ovation. Cheers for Duff too.
Long range effort from Risse just wide as the fans yelled shoot.
A double substitution for Villa Lowton for Herd and Albrighton for Andreas Weimann.
It appeared that Agbon was tripped in the box, but Mike Dean was not interested ,then Fulham go up the other end and was Guzan outside the box when he knocked the ball away? No. Agbon dove in the box and should have been booked.
Fulham end a run of six consecutive defeats , moving up to third form bottom, behind the Hammers on goal difference.
They're off from them as the Third Round Draw is in about ten minutes.
Everton undefeated when Gareth Barry is in the starting lineup.
Teddy sheringham and son Charlie doing the Third Round Draw

Still 0-0 at the EM and the tie of the round is obviously the North London Derby at the EM. Gooner must be loving that
Other highlights are that Liverpool face Oldham for the third season in a row. Pool won 5-1 in the Third Round twe years ago on their way to the final while they were upset 3-2 at Oldham last season.
Wigan defend their cup by hosting the Fake Dons. Uwe Rosler recently took over at the DW. Bob should be pleased that Leeds face Rochdale although he would have preferred a tie at ER. United host Swansea and could be on for yet another home defeat. Someone will be pleased that Everton will host QPR while John will be pondering the Hammers tricky trip to Forest.
Giroud through off a nice ball from Young Jack as his shot was blocked by Timmy, but flagged offside.
Giroud through and blocked by Timmy for a corner. Gareth Barry booked for something.
Naughty off the ball on Ozil the reason for the booking. Actually a throw near the corner flag
Another great block from Timmy , this time from Ramsey off a nice through ball.Nice through ball from Carzola to Ramsey who put Young Jack through. a minute of stoppage time.
Halftime and 0-0 from the EM. Fairly uneventful until the final five minutes of the half. The main event was news that there will be a North London in the Third Round of the Cup.
Nice one touch passing from the Gunners and a volleyed pass from Young Jack is headed straight to Timmy by Carthola from close range.
Great save by Seu Seu Seudio from a long range effort by Ross Barkley
Great job by Timmy to push a volley from Ramsey around the post. Great one touch passing.Merte heads wide from the corner.
Dragged well wide by Ross Barkley when a pass was a much better option.
A high challenge by McCArthy on Ramsey and deservedly booked. He will be suspended for Everton's next match. A huge loss for the Toffees as he leads the Prem in tackles won this season.
Ross Barkley with a rocket from the D that was straight at Seu Seu seudio and Seu Seu Seudioed away.
Theo for Carzola, and Flamini for Young Jack, and Rosicky for Ramsey as Arsene makes a triple substitution. Roberto has Jelavic on for the already booked McCarthy. Almost like preseason with the massive substitutions.
Another substitution as Steven Pienaar is booed for his brief spell at Spurs as he is replaced by Leon Osman.
OH! Just wide by Flamini as the Toffees failed to clear their lines.
The last team to keep a clean sheet at the EM was Everton in April. Will they emulate that feet today?
The last time Arsene made a triple substitution was at Roberto's Wigan in December 2011. A coincidence that it was against Roberto's team again?
Timmy booked for time wasting.
Great through ball by Osman to Mirallis as his shot is turned around the post . The corner from Mirallis was headed away then a deflected cross by Mirallis is headed high and wide by Distin.
Gerard Delafeu is on for Mirallis and
GOAL!!! OZIL SMASHES THE GUNNERS INTO THE LEAD.
Disaster for the Toffees as the Gunners scored twenty seconds after THE tOFFEES MADE THEIR FINAL SUBSTITUTION. A goal kick from Deu Seu Seudio was headed to Rosicky. His long angled cross from the left was headed down by Theo, Giroud missed the ball and Ozil smashed in at the far post.
One Nil to the Arsenal would put them seven points clear of Liverpool and Chelsea.
GOAL !!!! 1-1 AN EVETFUL APPEARANCE FOR YOUNG DELAFEOU AS HE TIES IT UP FOR THE TOFFEES.
Barry did well to win the ball in midfield and Ross Barkley played Bryan Oviedo down the left. The Chunk completely missed the ball with an attempted bicycle kick and it made it to Delafou as his shot was deflected off of Gibbs and into the top corner
In a period of four and a half minutes on the pitch , Delafeu saw the Gunners take the lead , then tied it up for the Toffees.
Arsene furious as a seven point lead is trimmed down to five. An up and down seven minutes for Gooner and dad.
Nearly the lead for the Toffees as Deulefou played through the Chunk , but Seudio did well with a foot save.
DEulefou booked for a foul on Rosicky.
Three minutes of stoppage time as it was heart in mouth time for the Toffees as Timmy completely missed a cross , but Giroud could not take advantage.
The Chunk blasts over from just outside the box as he tackled Ozil in midfield.
Steven Naismith on for Ross Barkley.
OH! Off the bar from Giroud in the dying seconds, then Webbie calls a foul on the Gunners
Webbie blows the final whistle and it finishes 1-1. Gooners will be disappointed as they thought they had won the match , but the Toffees tied it up four and half minutes after the Gunners take the lead. The Gunners remain top, five points clear of Pool and Chelsea.
That's it for me. Over and out.
Hey, mate - Thanks for keeping the LOB going this weekend. Sorry for my absence. Bit of a lost weekend with the new girl. Cheers!
