The team news now out of Salvador:

Teams in the tunnel now, all a-tingly. Let's hope this one is the cracker that it promises to be.

Decent pop by Iniesta as Jordi Alba pulled the defenders out wide. Always rising, though.
First chance for Diego Costa but De Vrij did well. Not sure he feels comfy on his left side.

The "Dutch Skunk" goes donw under a Ramos challenge and gets up surprised to see the free kick go the other way.

The Dutch seem to have a potent counter attacking threat, with the Spanish playing a fairly high line.

Both sides seem to be happy with a draw in this one. Robben has been down for an extended period.
Some naughtiness between De Jong and Biscuits as expected.
Silva was in there but was blocked out. Fairly accomplished defending from the Dutch so far.
Jon Champion vamping a bit there to try to inject a bit of excitement into this one.

I've been banging on all game about the dangerously high line that Spain were playing. Robben was flagged offside several times but that was bound to happen. Great ball from Blind and a terrific finish. Quality.
GOAL 1-1 as RVP headed superbly from a superb long diagonal pass from Blind.

Iker Casillas had a nightmare in the Champions League final and he's had a nightmare here! A harmless backpass was rolled back to him. He had loads of time. Or that's what he thought. He took an abysmal first touch, the ball spinning a few yards away from him, and Van Persie was on him in a flash, nicking it away and then poking into the empty net before the covering defender could get back in time! Spain have fallen to pieces! Even Holland can't believe what's happened!
