Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The Transfer Window Closes

As the summer transfer window closes, it's time to take stock of the big moves that happened yesterday? How did your team do this summer? And which team made out best?

Your thoughts, gentlemen.

Bob, thanks for the post. I think the Gunners did best in the Summer transfer window, which is reflected by their great start to the season. They've been building on a gradual basis, signing and selling wisely. Gabby Jesus and Zinny have been great additions to the squad while Saliba is a promising young defender In terms of Un item I thought they did fairly well with the sign ins and Ten Hag has made more of an impact than I expected.Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia have made decent starts , showing that Maguire and Luke Shaw are pretty much surplus to requirements. Eriksen signed on a free may be the bargain signing of the season. I was surprised that we were able to sign Casemiro and am interested to see how Antony fits into to United's plans. The next step is to get rid of the dead wood. This is the best I have felt about United for a while . Those are my thoughts
