Hi Guys,
I will be in and out today. Got a lot of stuff around the house and errands to do
I'll be full time tomorrow
Good Morning Bob and Dave. Just woke up. Here for the matches today
Morning, guys - just settling in to enjoy this one.
Gppd Morning, Bob. How was your week? Great to have you on board
In terms of the PPP the Canaries defeated the Evil Lions 2-0 yesterday. Josh Sargent with both goals. Canaries up to fifth place while the Evil Lions moved down tp seventh place ahead of the 10 AM matches

A pair of stoppage time minutes
Matty Nunez nearly scores for the second time in a few minutes. Corner to Wolves. Kilman heads wide and it's 0-0 at the half
Off to take Trooper walkies
Just checking in at half time
Wolves are the better team!
Hi again - sorry, I had to deal with a poop situation. I had a good week here. It was prep week on campus with quite a few meetings. Getting set to start classes on Monday.
What I saw of this match was not that inspiring. Seems like two sides who both like to play on the break. Wolves might have edged it. Not good enough for a Spurs side who think that they're title contenders.
I can't believe how time flies!!
39 years ago today(a Saturday) I left for college!
I worked at the RAF Mildenhall Post Office the first year after high school. I think I helped out Mr Hunter with the high school team
My dad died on Aug 1st and a couple days later my mom said I should go to college. It was what my dad would have wanted! She didn't want me to go!
As I said, 39 years ago today my whole family drove me to Heathrow and I left home alone for the first time!!
The plan was to fly to JFK and then Ithaca. Stay in a hotel and take a taxi to Cortland and wait on the curbside until I checked in for pre-season at 6pm
I got to Ithaca and one of my bags was lost! I had no address to give them THEN I heard.... Are you David Nocito? It was my dad's Syracuse roommate. He came to pick me up at 1030 at night!
My dad and I had sent a letter to him but it got returned for wrong address. By the time it came back, my dad had passed away. We had a second address and I sent him another letter explaining what happened. He received the letter the day before I arrived. He brought me home, fed me and took me on a tour of the campus and then dropped me off at the dorm. He also got my bag for me.
I can't believe I actually went through with it!
Sorry if I bored you guys!
Wow - I can't believe it's been that long. Thanks for sharing that memory. I remember visiting you at Cortland during that first year. I took a Greyhound and it took all day to get there!
No changes from these sides at the beginning of the second half:
Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Perisic, Kulusevski, Son, Kane.
Subs: Doherty, Richarlison, Gil Salvatierra, Sessegnon, Forster, Tanganga, Lucas Moura, Lenglet, Bissouma.
Wolves: Jose Sa, Jonny, Collins, Kilman, Ait Nouri, Neves, Matheus Luiz, Daniel Podence, Joao Moutinho, Pedro Neto, Goncalo Guedes.
Subs: Jimenez, Hwang, Sarkic, Boly, Nelson Semedo, Gomes, Dendoncker, Traore, Cundle.
Referee: Simon Hooper (Wiltshire)
I remember that too
Didn't you come on the team bus for a game?
Keep in mind that this is a Wolves side that we beat at Elland Road on the opening day. They're not good.
Yeah - I did; good times.
By the way, Maddox is getting a match day manicure from his mother. I told Kate that I could use a spa treatment, too!
Maybe Leeds made them not look good!
KATE...KEEP AWAY WITH THE CLIPPERS!
I am about to get a haircut from Kath...one of the things on the docket today
Back from walkies . Looks like I didn't miss much
This scoreline suits me; it would mean that, with a draw against Chelsea tomorrow, we'd be level on points with Spurs. And Wolves would be mired in the bottom half where they belong.
Hiya David
Off for my haircut very soon, shower and shave and then Kathy's coffee run!
Nathan Collins has rescued Wolves on a couple of occasions now.
Welcome back, David - how was the walkies?
So, how much are you tutoring these days?
GOAl....KANE!
GOAL! Captain Kane with the breakthrough!
And it's 250 goals for Spurs!
I was going to have a couple of students for Algebra Regents prep but I got COVID and had to drop out
Once the school year starts again....I'll be busy again
GOAL ! HAARY KANE AND ABEL TO HEAD SPUDS INTO THE LEAD OFF A CORNER
Now, how will Wolves respond to that. One point from three matches is relegation form for them.
That sounds good. Glad that you're back in the pink.
Thanks Bob and Dave. Walkies was good . a dreary, overcast morning, but pleasant feeling outside. Saw a few deer.
We just found out that my brother-in-law, Kathy's twin, is getting married. It is in San Diego in December! The ceremony is on Dec 9th at the exact time of a WC QF....poor timing JOE!!
Dave glad you are recovered from COVID. Wishing you a good haircut and hope that all goes well with the tutoring
LOL! Poor timing indeed. That was my father-in-law's birthday
Still can't believe it has been 39 years!!
I'm going to take a wee break and read to the twins. I've been reading to them from a Don Revie biography. It puts them right to sleep.
Melanie guilty of poor timing too. She will be here for Thanksgiving. Flying back the day of USA vs England match. I will need to record that one.
That's a long time Dave. That was around the time I started community college in New Jersey. The anniversary may be next week.
LOL, Bob. A cure for insomnia
Revie would put anyone to sleep
Haircut time
TTFN
Nelson Semedo for Ryan Ait-Nouri
Cheers, Dave. Wishing you well
Ryan Ait-Nouri related to Bob Ait- Sheffield and Dave Ait-puns!
Rich Arlison and Ryan Sess about to come on for the Spuds. Number One Son about to come on. Sounds like we can Conte on Antonio to shut up shop
Ryan Sess for Perisic. Perish the thought. Rich Arlison for Number One Son. TYhhat should be a position swap ut sitting a tad deeper. Good players to catch Wolves on the break
Spurs now top, but surely that will change. Wolves with a solitary point and a solitary goal for the season as things stand
Back from storytime. We were reading about the 1965 Cup Final this morning. Exciting times!
Richarlison isn't a bad sub option for Spurs if he doesn't mind playing second fiddle to Kane and Son. He was the big man at Goodison.
Bissouma on for Kulesevski after receiving instructions from Brad Freidel
Welcome back. I still think it's a cure for insomnia, LOL!
Hoy Berg down time wasting
Casino Royal down taking one for the team. That's not what I call snake eyes
Back up and running out off
Davinson Sanchez heads out a cross from Adama Traore for a Wolves corner
Corner from Ruben Neves out for another
A Barber Shop Quartet of stoppage time minutes
Bruno Lager won't drink to that as he wants more stoppage time
His tie it up vs ten man Rangers deep in stoppage time. Now Desmond
Sorry, it's against nine man Rangers
Spurs wrapping up a jammy 1-0 win here at Shite Fart. Very unconvincing but it puts them on top of the table.
It's over and Spuds hold on to defeat Wolves 1-0. Spuds now top , but the other teams have yet to play this weekend
It finishes Desmond in that match. Celtic will top top by a pair of points with a win vs Hearts tomorrow.
Next up are the usual 10 am fixtures. Leicester v. Soton is the featured match on the box but there is also:
Palace v. Villa
Everton v. Forest
Fulham v. Brentford
Which one are you watching?
I will be watching the match on USA and probably watching Goal Zone on the Cock
Just a remind that Leeds vs Chelsea is on the telly tomorrow. I'm sure you will be excited about that
I am! It's our first televised match. I don't actually mind Peacock that much. At least I get a chance to watch the boys every weekend. But if it's on the telly, I DVR it for repeated viewing later on, as long as we don't get mullered.
Sounds - I'll be in and out of this one.
