Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

I still think the solution is to win the bloody games in regular time. Only Argentina strikes fear in my heart and we wouldn't draw them until the final. All the others can be beaten on the day.

Correct. You think Beckham is up to all that math? You're having a laugh.

Unfortunately when it comes to preparations, this is what the England camp has in mind:

"Ray Clemence has insisted Paul Robinson "will be ready" if the England goalkeeper is confronted with a World Cup penalty shoot-out now the competition has reached the knock-out stages." (From 365)

The point isn't how many Robbo saves but how many the England boys stick in. They still don't get it.

These are the five I'd choose to take pens (if on the pitch):

1. Gary Neville
2. Frank Lampard
3. Ashley Cole
4. Steven Gerrard
5. Joe Cole
