Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Roon is In!

Excellent news! Rooney has been cleared to rejoin the England squad in Germany. I still favor playing Crouch and Owen for at least the first two games. We really shouldn't need all the fire power against Paraguay and T&T. If he trains well, maybe bring him in to terrorize the Swedes off the bench. And then from the Round of Sixteen, it's the Roon Show! What do you reckon?

Save him until later but let's not assume that Paraguay will be a walk over. I have heard good things about them but still... ROONEY!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely! Great news. I'm here and this is the story that has everyone gripped. I don't think Paraguay will be a walk over but I do think that there's enough in the England side to get through without rushing Roonaldo too quickly.

Welcome aboard Trev.

The English press think that there is not enough quality to the US side to overcome the Czechs and the Italians. Surprizingly, the English still imagine that the Italians are dark horse candidates to win the lot. Even without the scandals I don't think that the Italians will go past the Quarters.

It's all cross of St. George bunting here at the moment. I'm with you about these Paraguayans. They'll be a stern test and nothing to overlook.

Nah, I'm expecting the lads to be on a roll after the Jamaica drubbing and I expect us to roll over Paraguay who will be missing their top scorer Roque Santa Cruz according to reports. The news about Roon must fill them with confidence, don't you think?

Come on England!
