Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Back to the Prem

I'm back in Gatorland after a chilly road trip to Maine this week and looking forward to an exciting day of the footer and hearing from you lads.

Well, Michael Owen scored early but King Kev's Newcastle is losing 3-1 at Villa currently.

That early fixture has ended 4-1 Villa with a hat-trick from John Carew and Newcastle have dropped into the bottom half. Not a good start for Keegan. Somewhere a fat man is laughing.

Bit of a rubbish match first up on FSC - Everton vs. Reading. If this is the type of fixture we'll treated to in the "international round" of the Premier League in a couple of years, who's going to bother to show up at the Meadowlands?

A good start in League One where Leeds have traveled to Northhampton. No, we haven't scored but Tranmere have against Orient, so we've jumped up to 7th. Beggars can't be choosers and in the form that we're in, I'll take what I can get. We need a win for the Gaz today.

Fabio Capello is at Upton Park to watch West Ham vs. Birmingham today. Goodness knows who he's watching but Freddie Ljungberg has given the Hammers an early lead. Shame he's Swedish!

And predictably Swansea have scored early. The leek-eaters are running away with the division.

Oh dear, the Yank brigade at Fulham are in trouble again, a goal down to Boro. And it's the old Arse boy Jeremie Alliadiere with the goal.

Birmingham have equalized with a penalty by James McFadden. Fabio's just been informed that he's a Scot.

And speaking of the fat man, is that Sam Allardyce doing the color for this match? It certainly sounds like him, and he's praising that nasty little sod Stephen Hunt to the heavens.

Well, that wasn't what the doctor ordered. A soft goal wins it for Everton in a dreary match.

And worse than that, Leeds gave up another late goal to squander three points against Bournemouth. With all of our playoff rivals winning, we've lost more ground today.

I'm sorry, I haven't been around all day.
Sorry about you guys. I think you guys dropped points to Northampton not Bournemouth.

Tomorrow and Monday have the big wigs playing.

I know that Five Live is going to be blacked out. I may Skype Debs and listen to her computer. Last time I watched it but listening will do fine.
I can listen to manutd.com sometimes and sometimes not.
