Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

As Dave reported earlier, Big Phil is making five changes to the Portuguese side today.
Here are the sides for this "dead rubber" match:
Switzerland: Zuberbuhler, Lichtsteiner, Muller, Senderos, Magnin, Behrami, Gelson, Inler, Vonlanthen, Yakin, Derdiyok
Subs: Benaglio, Jakupovic, Djourou, Huggel, Cabanas, Grichting, Gygax, Barnetta, Spycher, Degen, Frei, Streller
Portugal: Ricardo, Miguel, Pepe, Bruno Alves, Ferreira, Fernando Meira, Veloso, Raul Meireles, Quaresma, Postiga, Nani
Subs: Quim, Rui Patricio, Bosingwa, Ronaldo, Petit, Hugo Almeida, Joao Moutinho, Simao, Jorge Ribeiro, Carvalho, Deco, Nuno Gomes
Referee: Konrad Plautz (Austria)
I'll likely watch the Turkey vs. Czech Republic match and flip back and forth to this one if it's at all interesting.
One more reason not to watch this one live - it's Derek Rae and Tommy Smyth in the commentary booth.
Fifteen minutes in and it's 0-0. Without Ronaldo, Joao Moutinho, Deco, Simao and Nuno Gomes, the Portuguese attack is considerably blunted. Time for Nani to shine, perhaps?
Half an hour in and it's still 0-0.
Half-time: 0-0. I'm glad that I'm not watching this one. Sounds as if it's been dire.
Sixty minutes in - 0-0 Big surprise.
GOAL! The Swiss have taken the lead through Hakan Yakin!
Switzerland 1-0!
The Swiss have a penalty here!
GOAL! Hakan Yakin slots away his third goal of the tournament.
Switzerland 2-0!
Full-time: Switzerland 2-0.
The Swiss are left wondering "what if?" They were seconds away from getting a draw out of the match with Turkey and might well have qualified with this win.
Instead, Portugal go through top due to the head to head with Turkey and will meet the second placer in Group B (probably Germany but perhaps Austria or even Poland?).
By the way, Chelski fans, take a good at the cynicism of the way that Big Phil Scolari set up for this match. That's what you've got coming next season. Enjoy.
