Football League set for kick-off!!
So the season has finally arrived. I am looking forward to the Community Shield live on FSC on Sunday but also keeping a look out for the start of the Football League on Saturday
.
Best of luck Bob. Let's hope Leeds start off just as strong as last season and run away with the league.
Any predictions for the Championship and Leagues 1 and 2?

Cheers, Dave! It's my graduation day tomorrow so I'm hoping that that will rub off on the Mighty LUFC as they travel to Scunthorpe for the early kick-off.
Come on you Whites!
Best of luck for your graduation and for the trip to Scunthorpe!
We've kicked off with a fairly familiar looking side at Scunthorpe:
1. Casper Ankergren
2. Frazer Richardson
3. Paul Huntington
5. Rui Marques
11. Alan Sheehan
23. Robert Snodgrass
7. David Prutton
14. Jonathan Howson
18. Andy Robinson
21. Enoch Showunmi
9. Jermaine Beckford
0-0 through the first fifteen minutes with the lads putting the boot rather heavily. No cards of yet, though.
Still 0-0 after half an hour. In terms of predictions, you'd have to fancy us to get out of Division 1 this season given that we came close with a fifteen point deduction. Leicester should also yo-yo out of the division.
Division 2? I fear the worst for poor Luton who start with a whopping 30 point deduction.
Into the second half and we're still at 0-0. Fairly uninspiring start to the season but I'll take a late Beckford goal now, thankyouverymuch.
A flurry of goals at Glanford Park as Scunthorpe score first and then Leeds respond almost immediately with a header from new boy Enoch Showunmi on his debut for the Whites.
1-1!
Into the last twenty minutes and we're just edging it in terms of possession and shots on goal.
Come on you Whites!
Yesss! Jermaine Beckford with a scorcher in the 80th minute to give us the late lead.
1-2! Hang on!
Scunthorpe are launching everything that they have at us now with five minutes of regular time remaining. Ankergren is making some heroic saves.
Into stoppage time at Glanford Park. Hang in there!
Full-time: It's all over at Glanford Park and Leeds have kicked off the new season with an excellent come-from-behind 2-1 win over Scunthorpe thanks to goals from Enoch Showunmi and Jermaine Beckford.
I do believe that puts us on top of the table. We won our opener last season and yet were still on -12 points. It's nice to see three points on the board this season. Message to the rest of Division 1 - come on and try to catch us!
Well done!
Good luck this afternoon
That was a fine start to the day. Now I've got my degree and I'm on to New York in a week's time. See you soon, mate!
Congrats on the first silverware for the season, mate!
Cheers mate
Totally dominated but need a scoring edge.
Berba and TH both in the news. We need some size.
