Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Alright, that's not a good start. I've just run over from a workshop to find out that the first goal of the night in the Carling Cup has gone to some prat named Andy Monkhouse from Hartlepool. We're 1-0 down in the 2nd bleedin' minute.
Stoke 1 Reading 0. Great corner by Liam Lawrence is met by the head of Vincent Pericard and Tony Pulis' men have the lead.
The Arsenal vs. Sheffield United match is about to kick off and I've got the live feed ready and waiting to go.
Well, the Arsenal vs. Sheffield Utd. feed has turned into Cambridge vs. Oxford. That might be interesting for the Old School Network but not for me. I'm off for the ManYoo vs. Boro.
YESSSS! Leeds 1 Hartlepool 1
Robert Snodgrass with the equalizer.
That's odd. The ManYoo feed has pulled up MUFCtv but they're prattling on about the match as a preview while the match has already kicked off.
I'm off to the Liverpool vs. Crewe.
Sunderland 0 Northampton 1. A real shock could be on the cards at the Stadium of Light as the Cobblers take a deserved lead through Colin Larkin's smart finish. Northampton knocked out Bolton in the last round, can they beat another Premier League team?
Finally, I've got a feed up and it's the Red Devils vs. Boro. The picture is bad and the commentators are jabbering away in Spanish but it's something. Still 0-0 at OT.
Rotherham 1 Southampton 0. Another potential upset at Millmoor where the League Two side are in front against the Championship strugglers and it's Drewe Broughton who has got the final touch in the scramble.
Liverpool 1 Crewe 0. Brilliant strike by Daniel Agger who blasts home from 20 yards out at Anfield. The Reds are happy to have the big Scandinavian back in the fold this season.
It looks like Ronaldo, Tevez and Nani have all made the start for ManYoo but no Roon or Berba.
Arsenal 1 Sheffield Utd 0. Superb passing move by the Gunners and it's one of the "experienced" players on target, Nicklas Bendtner. The Arsenal first-team would have been proud of that move.
Bloody hell! It's Leeds 1 Hartlepool 2. Joel Porter rattles the ball into the back of the net from 25 yards out and Harletpool are back in front. Cracking game at Elland Road but I'm not liking it.
C'mon you, Whites! Get the bleedin' lead out. . .
How many places are West Ham above Man Utd? . . .
United 1 Boro 0
Ronaldo sticks in a traditional header from a corner.
Welcome, Trev! West Ham are in 6th, United in 15th. Ha ha
I agree - come on, you Whites!
Wow!
Liverpool 1 Crewe 1. The Crewe fans go wild at Anfield as Michael O'Connor taps in to the net from close range after Diego Cavalieri makes a good save. Game on!
Are you up on a myp2p feed?
Bendtner's got his second of the night. The big Dane's enjoying the Carling Cup, alright.
Arsenal 2 Sheffield Utd 0
The Arsenal youngsters are ripping the Blades apart. Arsenal 3 Sheffield Utd 0. Carlos Vela cuts inside from the right and curls home a fantastic shot into the corner of the net with his left foot.
Half-time scores in the Carling Cup - Arsenal 3 Sheff Utd 0, Burnley 0 Fulham 0, Leeds 1 Hartlepool 2, Rotherham 1 Southampton 0, Stoke 1 Reading 1, Sunderland 0 Northampton 1, Swansea 0 Cardiff 0, Watford 0 West Ham 0.
Are you seeing any of this Arsenal action or just catching word of it?
Don't Crewe have a bit of previous like this with Liverpool?
I am here and I am not a Wally!!
I wonder why there aren't many links working
Sky must be covering them
Leeds better get their fingers out. It's Leeds time soon.
Ronny should have scored there. Called offside anyway.
My picture is great... sound... Spanish
You are a wally...but welcome anyway.
The guy I thought was Carlito is actually some youngster named Rafael. Where's he from?
Dunno
Call yourself a United fan? I expect you to know all of the squad members personally!
Is that Wellbeck bloke English - he looks handy.
Half time at OT - 1-0
The other matches should be kicking off the second halfs shortly.
Leeds have kicked off the second half. Time for the come back. Come on, you Whites!
First goal of the second period.
Stoke 2 Reading 1. Stoke are back in front at the Britannia Stadium. Glenn Whelan's shot is saved by Federici but Mamady Sidibe is there to tap the rebound into the back of the net.
It sounds like there's an absolute clinic going on at the Emirates.
Arsenal 4 Sheffield Utd 0. Vela scores a sensational goal for the Gunners. He takes a high ball on his chest before embarrassing goalkeeper Paddy Kenny with a quite audacious chip. What a player Vela looks.
The Hammers are still at 0-0 with Watford.
The teams are back out at Old Trafford. Second half coming up...
Arsenal 5 Sheffield Utd 0. It's Carlos Vela again with another brilliant finish following another smart turn.
That's his hat-trick!
Swansea 1 Cardiff 0. Jordi Gomez's blasted free-kick takes two deflections and flies past the goalkeeper and the deadlock has been broken at the Liberty Stadium.
Wellbeck of United almost double the lead
Good news for both Dahlgrens
Five Nil
and
Two two
YESSSS!!!!!!!
Leeds 2 Hartlepool 2. Enoch Showunmi powers home from close range and Leeds are back on level terms.
Now go on and win it!
Why doesn't Arsene play the kids every weekend?
Any relation to Enoch Powell?
Rotherham 2 Southampton 0. The Saints are heading out of the Carling Cup and it's Danny Harrison on target for the League Two side. Big upset at the Don Valley Stadium.
Uh oh. Rotherham coming into some form ahead of our titanic Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash in a couple of weeks time.
I hope not. Enoch was a Nazi. I think he's Nigerian. I like to call him Enoch Chumbawumba but I suppose that's not really p.c., is it?
Swansea have taken the lead in the Battle of Wales
Had to step away and the boys have notched up two more. Wilshere may factor in a few years for the national side.
Vela tortured some Caribbeans for the Mexicans and might give the likes of Onyewu problems.
BTW, Oxford are playing Cambridge live
Sotton have a goal back
I wish we could watch the Arsenal match live. ManYoo and Boro is putting me to sleep. I want goals!
Cambridge have tied it up in the boat race
Why are they even showing it? It's in the Blue Square Premier. It was so far down on my screen, I hadn't noticed it. Shocking!
Picky picky... we have VIDEO!!
BOY ARE GETTING SPOILED!!!
I just lost my feed
Rotherham 2 Southampton 1. Southampton are back in the game at the Don Valley Stadium as Stern John turns superbly well and lashes a brilliant shot into the top corner from 25 yards out. Game on.
I can't understand the thinking behind the coverage. Even for the neutrals, wouldn't it be more interesting to see all the unknown youngsters playing the likes of Gary Speed and James Beattie off the park?
I've only seen a few minutes of Vela and Wilshere, and nothing of Fran Merida who also is very highly rated.
Bugger, Boro just scored just as I picked up another feed!!
Nice shot from Johnson there, but I'm not sure that you fully appreciated it.
1-1.
No, it was useless
Bugger, Costa have taken the lead
Sorry, Trev.
Watford 1 West Ham 0. The deadlock is broken at Vicarage Road and unfortunately for the Hammers it's Hayden Mullins with the final touch.
Bugger again, Watford has made Gianfranco sad
One nil to the Hornets
Yeah, Lucas with the goal for the Reds.
Ronny is off for Tev.
Ron goes straight down the tunnel. Hope everything is okay
More misery for the Saints:
Rotherham 3 Southampton 1. Drewe Broughton is on target again and the League Two side are on the verge of an upset. It's fully deserved too.
I hope that he's broken a toenail and has gone off for a good cry in the dressing room.
Stoke 2 Reading 2. James Henry gets his second of the night with an excellent left-footed finish and there could well be extra-time at the Britannia Stadium.
Button it Dahlgren
Fifteen minutes left for Leeds to win it. Come on!
Even though you don't show me the same courtesy, I am going to say it.
It is LEEDS TIME
You don't need my courtesy.
Stephen McPhail is shown a red card for two bookings for Cardiff at Swansea and the visitors are up against it now. Nice one! Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.
Pogatetz gets a Red for a nasty challenge.
Boy that was high!!!
Oxford have take the lead again
I missed it - my feed's frozen up.
Too bad he couldn't have mortally wounded Ronaldo while he was at it.
That tackle to out both legs. He looks hurt
Stepped away again. Good for Leeds to have equalized, eh? Rally-time?
He's getting oxygen while sitting up.
Over the top?
I'm on the Al Jazeera feed now. I think he's saying that it's a nasty injury. Either that or Death to America.
Still on the floor at OT
Sunderland are two down to N'hampton
The United player, a youngster has a leg in cast. It looks serious.
Who is that on the turf. I wish they'd show it again. Sounds like a rather tasty tackle.
I think it was Possebon
Never heard of him. I don't like Man Utd.
Sunderland 0 Northampton 2. The Black Cats are crashing out, Luke Guttridge finishes off a well-worked move and it's surely all over for Sunderland.
Button it Dahlgren!! You too the other Dahlgren, you were probably thinking it too.
Five minutes left at Elland Road. Come on!
Sunderland get goal back
Stokes with the goal for Kenao's men.
Any chance he will play against Stoke!!
United just can't score. We haven't scored more than one goal in any game yet!!
He'd need to do a transfer for Sunderland who's playing at Stoke City.
I lost my Spanish feed... I am watching your AlJ coverage
Nice shot by Nani.
I thought it was in
Now Carlos Vela has his hat-trick. I guess the fifth was eventually credited to Jack Wilshire.
6-0 Arse.
The Arse just hit The Blades for SIX
Burnley 1 Fulham 0. Jay Rodriguez has scored what looks like the winner at Turf Moor for Burnley just moments after coming on! Another shock on the cards. Lots of Prem. sides crashing out tonight.
Giggs wraps up the win for you lot.
YES!!!
What a mistake from Boro and in goes Giggs!!
Shocking defending there.
YESSSSS! Andy Robinson in extra time.
That is - LEEDS TIME!
Roll on 4th Round.
I TOLD YOU SO
LEEDS 3 Hartlepool 2
Robbinson in the last minute
Sunderland have tied it up
Giggs saved off the line
the Hammers are out as are Fulham and HARTLEPOOL
Rotherham beat Sotton
Full time: Leeds 3-2. We made hard work of that but it's in the bag now.
Bring on the big boys!
And Sheffield United. What a tonking! I'd be embarrassed to show my face around town after that one.
manucho is on for United.
He looks good from what I have seen.
Nice name too
Off the line again, this time from Tevez
Davey,
It's Arsenal first and whoever's playing Chelsea for me second.
And a pox on the ilk of Pogatetz and Davies. Crap player's legs never get broken.
Manwhato? Never heard of him.
I want United at Elland Rd. in the 4th round. Bring back the bing bong glory days of the 70s.
Cambridge three one down
Manucho should have buried that one.
Stoke-Reading and Sunderland-Rotherham into extra time.
He is some African player that was out on loan last year. He looks good as I said. Not today of course, he has already missed one
Sorry, that's Northhants playing Sunderland. Rotherham have already seen in their victory.
Leicester and Lincoln tied 0-0 AET.
Penalties?
Of course, that is in the JPT
Dunno. That is the most vaunted trophy in the land. Champions League - you're having a laugh!
Nani makes it three!!
I am off to work
Take care,
Dave
Here's your answer:
In the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Leicester have beaten Lincoln 3-1 on penalties after a 0-0 draw.
Cheerio!
Liverpool have beaten Crewe 2-1 at Anfield and I'm off home to watch the ever imploding McCain campaign.
I happy the Hammers will not be sipping from the Carling Cup this year . . .all efforts on the Premiership Title!
That's the spirit, Trev. I'd love to see Zola bring you European football next season at least.
