Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The feed from Kiev via Setanta is up and running. Lovely jubbly!
With United's shirt sponsors AIG being bailed out by the feds, do I own a tiny bit of MUFC now?
Here are the teams for tonight:
Man Utd: Van der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Nani, Hargreaves, Fletcher, Park, Rooney, Tevez
Subs: Foster, Brown, Ronaldo, Anderson, Giggs, Vidic, O'Shea
Villarreal: Diego Lopez, Angel, Rodriguez, Godin, Capdevila, Cani, Eguren, Edmilson, Pires, Fernandez, Franco
Subs: Viera, Santi Cazorla, Ibagaza, Llorente, Javi Venta, Senna, Fuentes
Referee: Wolfgang Stark (Germany)
Five minutes in and it's been a cagey start both at Old Trafford and in Kiev. The English sides did well yesterday and I'm hoping for more of the same today.
Good work from Nani produces ManYoo's first corner.
And Rio was left entirely alone at the backpost but just couldn't steer it on goal. He was shocked to find himself free, I suspect.
Villareal don't look like they have much up front so it's just a matter of whether United can open up their backline.
First goal of the night goes to Porto. Lopez on 11 minutes opening up his account against Fenerbahce.
And Gilardino has stuck one in for Fiorentina away to Lyon.
And Sergio Ramez has scored for Real. The goals are starting to rain in.
Van Buyten has scored for Bayern in Bucharest.
And Porto are now 2-0 up inside fifteen minutes - Rodriguez with their second.
Evra wins a free kick on the edge of the box. Nani to take...
And it's rubbish.
Park comes close but he's won a corner. It's all United now.
After that spate of goals around the fifteen minute mark, they've gone all quiet again. And the feed's gone.
Robert Pires sends a stinging shot over that warms the hands of VDS from an acute angle.
A Tevez rocket is well saved by the keeper.
Daniel Guiza has scored his first for Fenerbahce in the CL to pull one back against Porto. Three goals there so far. No goals here at OT.
Apparently RVP has just missed a sitter in Kiev. Still 0-0 there.
Half time at OT and in Kiev. 0-0 in both matches. United and Arsenal will look for a better return in the second half.
After much hunting, I seem to have a reliable feed for the Arsenal vs. Kiev. You can find it at:

Gilardino popped in a second header Fiorentina right before half time.
Also, Celtic missed a penalty in the first half. They're still at 0-0 with Aalborg.
Arsenal are coming back on the pitch. Second half are about to start....
Almunia was nearly caught out at his near post. Arsenal are complaining that they had a man down.
Arsenal and ManYoo are both starting to apply some real pressure but it's still 0-0. Ronaldo is starting to warm up and is getting warm applausre from the OT faithful.
Bendtner's coming on. Possibly Theo coming off.
Disaster! Sagna has conceded a penalty.
And it's 1-0 Kiev.
It all came from a howler from Gallas who completely misjudged a ball in midfield. The winger ran the ball down the pitch, crossed and Sagna was exposed. It look harsh.
Meanwhile that man Ronaldo has come on for Park to rapturous applause.
And Ronaldo nearly scored with his first touch there. He slammed one into the turf and the keeper saved well. But his presence alone has injected some electricity into this match.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has added to Real's lead.
Twenty minutes for Arsenal to pull this one out of the fire.
Tevez comes close there. Roon fed him a ball that was just a bit overhit and his shot just got by the keeper but was cleared off the line.
I don't think Fergie will be terribly happy with an opening day home draw with Villareal either.
Del Piero has scored for Juve, while Lyon have made a remarkable recovery to come back 2-2 with Fiorentina.
Gallas has redeemed himself by scoring in the 88th minute to rescue a point for the Arse!!!
It's finished 1-1 in Kiev. What drama in that match.
And 0-0 at Old Trafford. So both English sides have had to settle with a point on Gameday 1.
Man, I could not get any of the feeds for the match against Kiev to last so I missed both of the goals. What I've read leads me to believe that while Sagna was a chump for putting hands on the play that went over, it was a very soft penalty, the sort only handed out by a weak ref in front of a home crowd baying for blood. UEFA refs really are a complete shower of wankers now.
But then Gallas did score the equalizer to save the point. I will be watching to see if he scored with his dick again. If so, the man has a rod of steel. It would be three career Arsenal goals with that appendage if so.
B-t-w, Davey, what's the deal with the moat at the end of the pitch at OT? Expecting to have to repel the army of Sauron are we?
Someone's bound to get injured there.
