Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

West Brom: Carson, Zuiverloon, Martis, Olsson, Robinson, Morrison, Koren, Dorrans, Greening, Brunt, Fortune. Subs: Kiely, Hoefkens, Cech, Bednar, Moore, Filipe Teixeira, Simpson.
Brilliant stream on LiveVSS up and running from Setanta. Upton Park looks marvelous.
Where are you West Ham Rising?
No Carlton Cole tonight so it's a very youthful looking Hammers line-up with Freddie Sears and Nsereko, who looks to be a real speed merchant.
I am watching it on Veetle
A draw for the Hammers would bring them up to that magical number of 40 points. It's hard to imagine their catching Everton, so unless a 7th slot opens up for the UEFA, the Hammers don't have a lot to play for beyond this. It will be interesting to see if West Brom, who desperately need every possible point, try to give it a go today. A win for them would put them on 25 and at least give them a shout at catching some of their fellow strugglers.
Afternoon, Dave! Well done on the tap trivia. You are the master!
I'm on VSS. Did you catch any of the cricket yesterday? The Windies looked pretty good.
I don't really see Freddie Sears as a striker/target man figure. He strikes me as more of a Joe Cole-like schemer.
THe chances are that the seventh spot will be open for the Europa League
The League Cup winners spot is open because of United's win. The seventh spot will open for the FA Cup winner. The only way it wouldn't be is if Hull win
Isn't that right?
Interesting factoid: no side bottom of the table with ten games to go has survived Premier League relegation.
I think you're right. Will it be called the Europa Cup next season?
Europa League!!
Nice move from WBA but Lou Macari's scolding Moore for not shooting across the keeper so that Brunt had a chance at the rebound.
Sorry, Europa League. What a poxy name. And I can only imagine what a rotten competition it will be. I completely lose track of the UEFA as it is in the fall. It's only when they get to the knock-out stage that I can be bothered. The second-leg of Citeh is on Wednesday.
Did you read that Platini is trying to prove that he's not anti-English by working out a deal whereby Pool won't be forced to play on April 15? I didn't realize yesterday that it will be the 20th anniversary of Hillsborough. That is a bit different.
Great save from Green from Morrison. That should have been the opener. Super run by Morrison there.
I didn't see that.
WBA almost in there.
Nice save but he still should have buried it.
Doesn't look good for Upson
Ex Red Spector on in his place
Half an hour in and as I suspected, WBA have been the more enterprising. The Hammers really can't be bothered with this match. They'll know that they're just about safe and yet don't have a sniff at a trophy or European qualification next season. Their season is effectively over.
There are loads of ex-Reds about tonight. Do you ever regret United letting Jonathan Greening go? Didn't think so.
West Brom have the second worst attack in the league. Any guesses as to who's scored fewer goals?
Was that a penalty? Sears went down but he didn't seem to claim anything.
Zuiverloon - one of my favorite names in the Premiership.
Half-time: A lot of graft but no goals yet. The Hammers will be more content with that. A point really does the Baggies no good at all.
I'm gonna stick around for "Football Matters" with James Richardson after the match. I hope it will come on this channel.
I am back from picking up the boys from Tennis practice
Goalless
Les Ferdinand in the studio thinks that the West Ham kids have been a bit overwhelmed with the opportunity.
How's the family, Dave?
Everyone is doing well.
Kathy and I have taken the next indoor session off but all three boys have their games. They are playing 9v9 on a 2/3rds field indoor
They are all doing well
Too much going on for you or have you finally acknowledged that you're too creaky?
Teams are back out. Carlton Cole is out on suspension. It's been a year since the Hammers have won without him in the side.
DiMichaeli hasn't scored since January (seven games) and Freddie Sears hasn't scored in a year! Not a good omen, is it?
Just too much going on
We will play outdoor
Free kick wide left for the Hammers here. Knocked out.
How did WBA not score there?!
Was that in?
Underside of the bar.
It didn't hit the bar like it looked
Rob Green's been pole-axed there.
Robert Green looks out cold
That was an elbow in the face.
Was that on purpose? It could have been
It was on purpose!
He should be banned for that one
If I were the Baggies I would get some shots off quick to see if he all there
Free kick now for WBA....
Brunt to hit one from distance. Straight into the wall, Ronaldo style.
Chris Brunt with the shot
The wall gets the BRUNT of the shot!
Surely the Premiership bosses will be reviewing the evidence of that elbow. It did look nasty.
Coming up on the hour mark. West Ham have Boa Morte available on the bench. And Tony Mowbray will surely be throwing that big Bednar bloke into the fray before long.
Boom boom on the Brunt comment, Basil!
ooh, fans throw the ball at him and then there is some french language coming from the WH fans. The fan that threw the ball at Brunt could be in trouble for that!
Corner to WBA. They're giving it a real go. I have to admit that I don't dislike WBA. They at least try to play football even though they're hopeless at it.
I'd have given him a right Cantona for that transgression!
Thank you for the boom boom
That natives are restless at Upton Park.

Stanilaus on for his WHU debut now...
Greening's blown a big chance there. He should have hit it earlier. Yes, Macari agrees with me.
Sausage and Chips twice, Lou!
Fifteen minutes left. I'm starved for a goal. Famished!
I am back from taking dinner to Kathy' dad
I guess I didn't miss much
I actually wouldn't mind seeing WBA win this one. They need the points more and West Ham haven't seemed bothered all evening.
Not a lot, Dave. Not a lot.
What's for dinner then?
Arsenal youngster Jay Simpson coming on for Chris Brunt.
boom boom for your link
Meatloaf
Just looked up next weekend's games
Saturday
11 a.m. Spurs v Chelsea
1:30 Newcastle v Arsenal
Sunday
Noon Costa vs Aston Villa
Three good 'uns!
I'm surprised that Mowbray hasn't used Bednar at all. He does create some havoc.
Lovely. To both meatloaf and the weekend's fixtures.
Why isn't anyone running into the six yard box!!
One of the blokes in the chat room has just posted that it's the most boring match he's watched all season. I don't know about that but I certainly wouldn't have had to pay for it!
His pep talk is taking longer than how long he has to play
ABSOLUTELY HOPELESS
This result will keep WBA seven points from safety. I can't see them digging themselves out of that in nine games honestly. They're finished, if not mathematically then realistically.
Both of these teams are pants!!
Both of us could have been more dangerous than most of the people out there
Full-time: 0-0; a fairly bleak match really. West Ham are on 40 points and are safe with nothing to play for. WBA are done.
I'm curious to see if I can get the James Richardson show "Football Matters" on this channel. In any case, I'll be around tomorrow at 3 p.m. EST for the Arsenal vs. Hull FA Cup match. Enjoy your meatloaf!
That is it
Not too impressive by either team
Take care Bob
Off to eat some meatloaf
