Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Well, they're doing just nicely, ta very much, pulling up at 0-1 at half-time as a result of another goal from Arsenal old-boy Adebayor on 30 minutes.
Someone will be happy. His beloved Celtic have won 0-1 away to Hibs with a goal from Georgie Samaras.
Poor old Pompey. They're rooted to the bottom of the table and look awful. Surely Paul Hart is not long for the job.
I really like this Citeh away kit with the diagonal red stripe. That's a traditional kit, no?
Citeh are completely bossing this match.
Inside the last fifteen minutes now with Citeh still raiding down the right through Craig Bellamy.
Everton - Wigan has started at Goodison. Like Paul Hart, David Moyes is desperate for a league win.
About ten minutes left at Fratton Park. Citeh still 0-1 up. Desperate times for Pompey.
Morning. Very pleased the Hoops have won.
I've got Everton/Wigan on through iraqgoals.
Interesting. Five of the six sides playing today (Citeh are the exception) are mired in the early relegation battle.
Morning, Someone. I'm watching the same. I had the Citeh match up earlier on Iraq Goals but gave up on it. Pompey are hopeless this season.
The stream kept cutting out on me so now I'm watching a very good quality picture, with Chinese announcers.
Very sad for Pompey, just two years from a cup win now this.
Hey Guys,
I have lost the use of the computer by the kids
I will be in and out.
My fingers are still tired after our 563 total from yesterday.
Shame Pompey lost. They had chances at the end according to the Beeb
Full-time at Fratton Park. That leaves Citeh in fourth place, probably their goal for the season. Here's what the top of the table will look like tonight:
1. Chelsea (Played 4) 12 pts
2. Spurs (Played 4) 12 pts
3. United (Played 4) 9 pts
4. Citeh (Played 4) 9 pts
5. Stoke (Played 4) 7 pts
6. Arsenal (Played 3) 6 pts
Awesome effort yesterday, lad. I enjoyed reading your comments about Real later on. I'm paying more peripheral attention this morning, tbf.
I've got a decent Veetle stream going for Everton v. Wigan. Half an hour in and still 0-0 with few chances for either side.
Excellent. Thanks!
Meanwhile, the bottom of the table looks like this at present:
17. Blackburn (played 4) 1 pts
18. Everton (played 3) 0 pts
19. Bolton (played 4) 0 pts
20. Pompey (played 4) 0 pts
First decent chance from a set piece here with Pienaar lining it up. Melchiot encroaches and picks up a yellow for his trouble.
Half-time at Goodison. 0-0. Not much of a match, in fairness.
Hey, I have the computer back for a little
Why has FSC got the 10 o'clock game and not the 11 o'clock one?
Is it because of the bloody Serie A???? That match scores at 12
I turn on the vss link of Villa Fulham and Villa score within 3 minutes
STARTS at 12 not scores
On correction to your table from earilier.
Citeh have only played 3 games
Everton have gone close a couple of times on FSC but they can't find the way through
Villa still one up on VSS
Wigan go close but deflected wide
Everton's putting on enormous pressure to start the second half but can't get the goal.
Thanks for the corrections, mate. You're absolutely right that Citeh have only played 3. I hadn't noticed that FSC is showing the Everton match rather than the Villa this morning as KC has commandeered the telly and I'm following on trusty laptop.
Yes, Pantsil (love that name!) stuck one in his own net to give Villa an early lead. I may switch over to that one later. Fulham in a bit of bother.
The own goal was nothing like Diaby's!!!
Wigan have taken the lead!!
Sharner with a stooping header at the back post
You knew that was coming. A surge by Wigan and Everton's defense does not mark. 1-0 Wigan.
It's raining at Goodison
It's not raining, it's Liverpool crying!
GOAL! Wigan take a surprise 0-1 lead with Scharner sliding in at the back post to nod in a tasty cross.
Did you see that Modric broke his leg yesterday?
He is going to be out for weeks. Not good news for Spurs but good news for England. He is out of the qualifier on Sept 9
Wigan hit the post
What on earth is going on at Everton? They've now slid underneath Pompey in 20th rock bottom spot. How long can Moyes last this?
Oooh, Gomez nearly added a second off the post.
Everton have tied it up!!
Saha was the head that got on to it
Lovely jubbly - I'm in at #3 in the Shut Up Voyeur predictions league with a total of 125 pts. this weekend.
What were your predictions for today?
Toffees respond. Saha header off a free kick!
That does look like Saha on the end of it. He's the only one who's looked likely today. Why is "Hair Bear Bunch" Fellaini on the bench?
I had the following:
Pompey 0 Citeh 3 (10 pts)
Everton 1 Wigan 0
Villa 2 Fulham 0
I'm sure Fellani will see some action today. His back's been a bother. I hope to see Jo stay on the bench.
Fellani soon to take the field, replacing Osman. How about Yakubu for Cahill next?
Here comes Hair Bear to the rescue, on for Osman.
Nearly straight in on the action. Wigan are rocking a bit.
Wigan with some reinforcements coming on too.
Hair come Fellani for Saha.. I would have kept him on
Jo is useless.
No, he was already on. My bad. Jo on for Saha
Everton should have done better there. He was offside too
Oh, Joe opened up a chance for there after coming on for Saha but Rodwell blasted over with the goalkeeper prone.
Jo kicks into the goalkeeper and Rodwell has a lot of net to shoot at and fires high.
Lost my link for the Villa game on VSS. I am now on atdhe
now that one has frozen
Jo should have done better there
into the last ten at GP
Five minutes left for the Toffees to make this pressure count.
4 minutes of added time
Wigan had a five on two but Sinclair kept it himself. GIVE IT UP!
92 minute and it is a penalty to Everton. I would say it was... absolutely
Baines cracks it down the middle
2-1
Baines used to play for Wigan... how ironic
Wigan should have scored twice before the penalty.
Jo hits the outside of the post on the break
I would agree with you - decent penalty shout. Jo did embellish a bit but Moyes will be sleeping easier tonight after this result. Oh, and by the way, that's another fifteen points on my total.
That is the final action
Everton win all three points.
Wigan's manager will not be pleased with that 5 on 2 squandered!
I am off to Lake George
Take care
UWS
Everton dig themselves out of the relegation zone on the basis of that win. Blackburn drop into the drop zone and Wigan are just outside. Very interesting battle developing already.
Villa are 1-0 up at half-time.
Half an hour left at Villa Park. 1-0 there.
Aston Villa have ended up 2-0 victors over Fulham, which leaves them in mid-table while Fulham drop near the relegation. It also bags me another 30 points on the predictions. Sweet!
Had a wonky internet connection today. I was mistaken about Jo today, he made things happen and drew the penalty.
Whew.
Now the Crew need to tie against the freaking Red Bulls!
