We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

RIP Edward Woodward (1930-2009)

Sad news today that the great British actor Edward Woodward has died at the age of 79. Of course, most Americans remember him from The Equalizer series but my memory most vivid memories of him are as "Callan" in the early 70s spy series and especially in the brilliant historical film "Breaker Morant." Callan and "Code-Name Kyril" along with Breaker Morant are the roles that I'll remember.

Hope they dig out those Callan films and TV shows in tribute now.
