Only one change from Saturday's side as Luciano Becchio is rested and drops to the bench. Our American supersub Mike Grella deputizes for him. Otherwise, it's a full strength side to take on Carlisle.

I've decided to forgo the lucky Leeds shirt (winter edition) for today.
I've just noticed that our old boy Ian Harte is in the Carlisle line-up. And he's been in good scoring form recently. I believe that he reached the milestone of 100 league goals on Saturday, not a bad effort for a left back.
I'll also be keeping an eye on several fixtures in League 1, including Charlton hosting Jeff Stelling's beloved Hartlepool.

I'd like a nice comfy win for us today, mainly to get us back on track. We could easily get into a sticky patch around this time with the fixture congestion we've got coming up.

We've just got the edge over Carlisle according to the match text; however, Casper has just saved a shot with his legs. That sounds a bit close for comfort.
I've just noticed that this appears to be MUTV coverage that I've dialed up through Channel 1 of VSS. I thought the commentary was a bit impartial. Paddy Crerand doing the color bit.

I missed both goals because a student dropped by for a few minutes. Giggs scored for United in the 17th minute with a tap in. And Tevez scored against his old employers right on the stroke of half-time.

I'm looking again at the penalty decision that led to Citeh's equalizer. I reckon that Rafael's contact on Bellamy was outside the box. Close call. Good pen from Carlos.

Yeah - Bellamy was definitely fouled by Rafael but the contact was well outside the box. Then Carlito stuck in a cheeky one and then did the "chat" symbol with his hand to the United crowd who were giving him stick in the first half.
Not sure if away goals count in either of these tournaments, to be honest.
