THE BIG FREEZE
So, the weather in England is causing havoc in the sporting world! In upstate New York, we get this much snow when someone sneezes and life goes on. In England, the country comes to a standstill.Today, in the Premiership only two games survive the weather. Arsenal vs Everton and Birmingham City vs Manchester United. Only three games survive in the Championship and in League 1 only two beats Jack Frost. Two big ones.... Leeds vs Wycombe and Norwich vs Exeter.

I don't know why he's chosen to add comment to our matches. He's clearly unable to overcome his ill-feeling towards our team. I remember two years ago, they tried Teddy Sheringham and he was so negative for a half and then mute the second. Obviously they'd decided he was unfit and someone should be noticing that Trev is just the same.
To be fair, Donovan does not look completely lost out there, does he? He's not trying to do too much and his touches have been generally good.

As appalling as this episode was, what were the organizers thinking about when they awarded this competition to Angola? The border area where this happened suffers badly from general banditry and they had to know that the regional capital near there was bound to be a game site. Actually, it's scheduled to host a first round series, quarters and a semi. There's no way a poor and underdeveloped country like Angola can provide security against their own general banditry, much less some organized criminal or terrorist enterprise.
I hope it wakes up the SAF 2010 organizers that this is a real threat and they'd better have a handle on it.
