Good v. Evil!
It's an appropriate match for a Sunday morning. You don't need to hop along to your favorite house of worship today. The true morality tale is here and it's live. Evil Cardiff come into the sacred house that Revie built - Elland Road. Such a momentous fixture, it alone has moved the clocks back so we're only four hours behind Britain this morning - join me from 9:15am EST.

Still looking for a link that's working. Not the easiest thing. My Premium seems to be down this morning.
Good Morning BD. The visit of Evil Cardiff and Evil Ridsdale is a perfect way to kick off Halloween Eve. How have you been?
Right - this one seems to be working:

I think I found a link. It is www.firstrowsports.tv/watch/89148/1/watch-leeds-united-vs-cardiff-city-.html
JINX!!!
Morning, MUR - I'm feeling good and perky this morning. Looks to be a bright, sunny day outside so I may even get a bike ride in today after the footer.
How are things in the heart of Texas?
What happened to Michael Chopra and Jay Bothroyd?
Yeah - it looks to be a good one. Super Kev is in the studio for the chat today.
Chopra is now at Ipswich and doing reasonably well. Bothroyd is on the books at QPR after a summer move but I think he's been found wanting at that level and hasn't featured.
Pretty good It is cool and in the low 50s. It should be in the 70s with low humidity for one more today. I was at an adult only Halloween Party till 1 AM , but Am rested and ready to go.
Ross McCormack will be keen to do well against his former club. I'm all for that.
Ross has a lot to prove up against his old club. Let's have a hat-trick, mate!
Sounds like a fun Saturday night. I was at an Occupy Fredonia general assembly meeting until late. Very productive. We're set to occupy the town square next weekend. Unfortunately, I'll be at a conference in Chicago until Sunday.
They're remembering the demolition that we faced last year when Cardiff came in flush with a front line of Craig Bellamy, Jay Bothroyd and Michael Chopra. That side is long gone and I'm hoping for a positive result. A win puts us 4th, by two goals 3rd.
Another old boy facing us today - Stephen McPhail in mid-field for Cardiff.
I hope it is the direct opposite of last year's result.
I hope everything went well at Occupy Fredonia. I hope you enjoy the conference in Chicago.
Cardiff are wearing a kit that looks like highway markings. I certainly hope that we can run over them today.
Come on, you Whites!
Thanks, mate. I'll be driving out on Wednesday. Eight hours. My presentation is Friday afternoon and then I can relax and enjoy the company of some friends for the rest of the weekend.
I heard that a person came dressed as Peter Ridsdale to a Halloween party and won scariest costume!
The match kicks off from ER.
WOW! That is tight. Four points separate third from eleventh.
Kick-off time!
Come on, you Leeds boys!
I agree that it is Good Guys vs Evil.Ross McCormack saw the light while Stephen McPhail saw the need to join the dark side.
Did you see my Ridsdale comment?
Empty seats in the Lurpak stand today. I'm unhappy to see that.
Joe Mason joined Evil Cardiff from Plymouth and is keeping Kenny Miller and Rob Earnshaw out of the side.
Absolutely - anyone dressing like Ridsdale should be chucked out of the Halloween party for scaring the kids too much.
Great save Rachubka tipping it around for a corner. We're a bit under the cosh early doors. Rachubka collects and slows down the pace.
Rachubka does well to tip around from Gunnarsson.Rachubka catches after some head tennis in the Leeds box. The sun is in his eyes.
Rob Earnshaw is strictly an aging journeyman at this point. I've lost count of the clubs that he's played for - Forest, Leicester, Norwich, now Cardiff.
McCormack wins a Leeds corner.
Alright, then. First corner for us. Come on!
A blocked header from a Snoddy corner is cleared. The header was from Lees.
I agree with the announcer . I see plenty of goals in this one.
Oh - Keogh nearly played Ross in there. Keeper collected.
A superb run and pass from Keogh just fails to find McCormack and finds the greatful David Marshall.
Nice one, Phil Dowd. Mark Hudson into the book for hauling back Ross. Good free kick chance now.
Hudson is booked for a foul on Ross just outside the box.
What a save by David Marshall from the header off the free kick.
Oh - Marshall saves point blank from Keogh's header! Good spell for us here.
Evil Cardiff are in the quarters of the CC. The best in this competition for them since 1965.
Kenny Miller and Earnshaw are on the bench discussing how does a signing from Plymouth keep them on the bench.
Bit of a wobbly moment from Rachubka.
Whittinham has a shot blocked from the long throw by Gunnarsson. That was not convincing defending.Tehn a horrible Rachubka clearance is not punished thanks to a hand ball from Whittingham.
They'll be knocked out next round - still a lot of the big boys left in the tournament: United, Citeh, Arsenal, Chelski.
None of that long throw nonsense from us.
Bugger! Joe Mason completely does our defenders and knocks a cheap one in.
0-1 Evil
Really poor from Darren O'Dea.
O'Dear.
BLOODY HELL!!! CRAP DEFENDING JOE MASON MAKES A FOOL OF FELLOW IRISHMAN ,O'DEA AND SCORES WITH AN EASY FINISH AS THE NEW SIGNING FROM PLYMOUTH PUTS EVIL CARDIFF 0-1 UP.
"Ghoulish defending" from Leeds on this Halloween Eve. Too right.
Come on, lads. Let's get one back quickly.
The new signing from Plymouth scored for Cardiff.
COME ON YOU WHITES!
Marshall catches the cross from Clayton.
Sounds like both defenses are leaky. You're probably right that there will be loads of goals in this one and more stress on my heart to come.
Evil Cardiff may advance in the CC. They got lucky and Play Blackburn. That is a winnable match for them.
Again - not convincing by Rachubka from the corner.
Evil Cardiff win a corner off of Connolly.Leeds struggle to clear the corner.
How was Rachubka in Man Yoo's youth system?
Who did United get? I didn't see the draw.
Hey Boys
I am here to watch this match
Sorry about the score Bob!
Speaking of draws, the draw for the 1st Round of the FA Cup is being made this morning. Fortunately, we're no longer concerned with that rubbish.
ROBERT... I posted the draw yesterday!!
More good pressure from us. Come on!
what a save from David Marshall to tip a header from Snoddy around the post.Another corner after several blocked shots from the corner.
Pardon me, Mr. Sportscenter!
Good morning, mate!
Good morning UWS. How have you been? The goal was due to really sloppy defending.
You're a bit late to the party this morning, UWS. I'm blaming you for that early Cardiff goal.
The draw again!
Arsenal v Man City
Cardiff v Blackburn
Chelsea v Liverpool
Man Utd v Crystal Palace
Conway runs down the left and is fouled by Snoddy.
I was up but just not on the computer
We lucked out yesterday with the snow. We got a dusting to 2 inches. Places an hour from us got 20-30 inches!!!!
Uh oh - free kick in a dangerous area now. Hudson nearly on to it.
The free kick from Don Cowie is headed just wide.
O'Dea is trotting off for treatment.
WOW! You did great a break. Isn't it really for snow. Were Matt's Jonathan's games played in the snow?
I'm tired of this Joe Mason bloke already.
Matt's team lost 2-0 yesterday.
We were by far the better team and completely dominated. We scored an OG in the first half and then conceded another in the last minute. Matt had a chance in the last two minutes that went just over the bar!
What a bummer
Plymouth's loss , Cardiff's gain is harsh. Argyle have been forced to sell players just to survive.
Big shout for a penalty. Phil Dowd unimpressed by Ross.
I hope you stayed warm. It sounds like perfect weather for coffee, tea , or hot chocolate.
Sorry to hear about Matt's game. Is that the last one of the season.
My link has stopped!
Sorry about the loss. It sounds like Matt played a great game despite the result.
Sergeant Wilko in the audience today along with the heroes of the 1991 title win.
Rachubka spills and gathers a long throw from Gunnarsson after the Icelander was stuck in the advertising boarding. Fortunately, he had a good laugh with the Leeds fans.
Looks like Kisnorbo is warming up to replace O'Dea. He hasn't featured since that silly red card.
It shattered snow records in October!
O'Dea is having a mare. I guess Simon had enough and big Paddy is coming on to hopefully give Leeds a more solid look.
Here is hoping for warmer weather in the Albany area.
Half an hour gone - we need a goal!
Oh - Connolly played a great ball in but no one was on the end of it.
Connolly just fails to find Keogh at the far post.
DId you see that Sir Jimmy Savile died at the age of 84 in his home in Leeds?
He would have been 85 on Monday
I used to love watch Jim'll Fix It
I remember one that he fixed t for a boy to play at OT with Charlton and co. He scored a pen!
BTW, you guys won the title in '92 not '91
I did not know that . I used to watch that show all the time. Sir Jim will be missed by all. He provided happiness to lots of people and had a fantastic sense of humor.
I didn't see that. Jimmy was a legend. I didn't appreciate him as much as a kid. I thought he was a bit of a novelty act with the blonde wig and the big cigar. But I read a book about DJ culture recently and found that he was a real pioneer in terms of British DJs and invented some of the early technology that was standard equipment in the 50s and 60s.
Ben Turner commits a foul off the throw from Gunnarsson's throw.
Snoddy wins a corner for us. Come on!
The Header from Lees off the corner is inches over the bar.
He hosted the very first and very last Top of the Pops
More ghoulish defending there between Kisnorbo and Rachubka. Crikey!
Well - the 1991/2 season - you know what I mean.
when was the last Top of the Pops? I think the first one was in the mid 60s.
Why are the stands empty? This is a big match.
McCormack Has a shot blocked that could have gone in.
Oh - Ross with a spectacular effort blocked out by Turner.
Two minutes of stoppage time.
This corner has to go in!
Mark Hudson is holding his Ghoulies after some ghoulish defending. Two Leeds corners.
The first TotP was in 1964 and the last in 2006
HT... second half will get better
It's Halftime and The Good Guys trail 0-1 .
COME ON YOU WHITES
Half-time: 0-1
We've played reasonably well apart from that horror show from Darren O'Dea.
Super Kev with some good advice.
Marching on Together!!!!!
I disagree with Super Kev that Evil Cardiff defended well in the first half. Neither team defended well.
Teams back out for the second half. I'm hoping for much better.
The second half kicks off from ER.
Why are there so many empty seats at ER.... not liking it!
I second that,BD.
I was thinking the same thing, UWS.
No changes as of yet since that Kisnorbo substitution.
I expect to see Becchio on for the last half hour or so if things don't change.
I did want to add that Rachubka needs to have a better second half.Who is the emergency keeper on the Leeds bench?
Be nice to Sir Jim. He is Leeds born and bred.
The clocks have gone back an hour in Europe and Mexico, but not till next weekend in the U.S.
Ben Turner should have been booked for that foul on Keogh. Come on Mr. Dowd.
Phil Dowd was the fourth official yesterday when United won at Goodison. We all have a Dowd connection this weekend.
OOH! David Marshall does well to push away a rocket from Snoddy, then Snoddy crosses for Keogh , who heads wide.
I agree, UWS. I noticed that in the first half. It is an early kickoff on a Sunday morning, which people don't usually like but that's hardly an excuse.
Great footwork and run from Aidy White.
Come on, Snoddy - get the ball in!
I agree, BD.There should have been more. It was a full house at Goodison for a noon kickoff.
Oh - Ross pulls a good save out of Marshall. Good pressure here.
David Marshall superbly tips around the post from Ross, then several blocked shots lead to another corner as Marshall punches away.
More pressure from another Snoddy corner till a pass from Clayton goes astray.
Luciano is going to be introduced early doors for Keogh. Good move for Simon!
Becchio is on for Keogh, who was on loan for the Evil team last season. He saw the error of his ways.
We should call Kisnorbo Big Paddy . Do you agree, Bob?
A few interesting Halloween creatures among the Leeds support today.
Leeds fans are dressed up for Halloween. The absentees may be hung over. I recovered without problem to be here, so I am not sure what's up with them.
I have to bugger off now
Best of luck for the rest of the half. Hope to be back for the Prem
Fingers crossed Bob
Ross has a shot deflected off one of his players for a corner.I think it was Becchio.
Yeah - I think that is his nickname. That and "The Beast."
Cheers UWS. Take care.
I didn't know that. It was a lucky guess.I'm starting to act like a Leeds fan as Aidy White wins a corner off of McNaughton.
Bloody hell - Tom Lees keeps nodding these corners straight over into the stands.
Lees heads over from the corner. Phillip Kiss is on for Craig Conway as The Evil team make a change.
The Evil team is starting to take on a Scottish look with their players and manager.
Cheerio, mate.
Whittingham shoots wide after an unconvincing clearance off the long throw from Gunnarsson.
What a superb save by David Marshall from Clayton as he tips over a long range effort.
Oh - great strike from Clayton, tipped over by Marshall. He's been keeping the evil side in it.
Paddy and Clayton have shots blocked by the road markers.
don Cowie was booked for deliberate handball Was that in the box?
Marshall again from Howson's header!
Clayton has a shot deflected off the free kick from Ross then Marshall saves superbly from a Howson header off the corner from Snoddy.
Kenny Miller is on for Joe Mason.
Twenty minutes remaining.
COME ON YOU WHITES!
Rachubka catches the long throw this time.
Lonergan will be out for another three weeks. Thankfully, one of those weeks will be the international break.
White and Gunnarsson are down receiving treatment after a clash.
YESSSS!!!!!!
SNODDY FINISHES AS LEES HEADED DOWN THE FREE KICK.
1-1
YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
A well deserved equalizer after a series of saves from Marshall. I knew it was coming.
COME ON YOU WHITES!
Now let's win it!
Did you know that was Leeds' first goal vs the Evils at ER in four matches ?
Snoddy is offside.
Hudson fouls Becchio in midfield.
Lloyd Sam is on for Danny Pugh.
Fifteen minutes to win this one. Only Snoddy's second goal fo the season. Ross has been the main goal threat for us this season.
It's an "Evil Sunday" as Spurs host Evil QPR in the next match, a noon kickoff.
Ross shoots well wide.
Lloyd Sam should provide us with some width that Danny Pugh doesn't.
Nice one, Phil. A good free kick chance now for Ross.
Kiss fouls Snoddy and Leeds have a free kick in a great position.
Could be also a good area for Snoddy to strike one left-footed.
Into the wall from Snoddy.
Into the wall by Snoddy and the cross by Sam is headed wide by Lees.
Oh - free header for Tom Lees in the area after that free kick. Should have scored.
Clayton is going to pick up a yellow card for a late tackle.
Adam Clayton is booked for a late challenge and pucks up an unnecessary booking.
The long throw from Gunnarsson is headed away and Gunnarsson's return cross is astray
Another free kick chance pumped into the box by Clayton. Comes to nothing. We haven't really taken advantage of enough of these set pieces. We've had loads of them.
The Whites play Blackpool on Wednesday. A reunion for Simon Grayson.
Oh - Connolly had a chance to nod back to Becchio but he found Marshall instead.
Clayton is getting close to a second yellow now. Lucky boy.
Adam Clayton needs to be careful as he is on a yellow and stamped on Kenny Miller's foot.
The Evils win a corner off the free kick.
Bloody hell - that was close.
Horrible defending from the corner from Whittingham and some head tennis leads to Gunnarsson heading over from two yards out. A reprieve for the whites.
Almost into stoppage time now. Come on!
Three minutes of stoppage to come.
Rachubka catches a cross as there are three minutes of stoppage time.
If anything, Cardiff are finishing the stronger.
A long free kick from the Evils and Kenny Miller is called for hand ball.
Handball given on Kenny Miller. Phew!
Time for one last chance.
Come on, you Leeds boys!
