Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Little Oiks Attempt to Nick the Olympic Torch

In perhaps the worst lapse of security since those two reality stars bumrushed the President's state dinner a couple of years back, two kids in Coventry attempted to nick the Olympic Torch yesterday before being hastily escorted offstage by some sporty looking coppers. Enjoy!

BLOODY NICKERS!I would say that they need to be sent to Coventry, but they were already there.I hope the security at the actual Olympics is better.

Just did a Wikki and can confirm that the Community Shield AKA The Charity Shield will be held at Villa Park and will be officiated by Kevin Friend,as Wemberley will be used to host Olympic footie matches. As a result kickoff will be at 1:30 PM local time instead of the traditional 3 PM.Sorry traditionalists!

Throw them in jail!!!

The torch is headed off to Cambridge this weekend. I asked Mike if he was going to take a peek. He said it was going to be about 140 yards from his front door but he doesn't know if he can be bothered!

I would go

I would go too. It's a once in a lifetime experience. I still say they should go to Coventry!Where were the parents? If they were put in Foster Care that would make the parents think twice. Harsh? Perhaps, but then the parents would take their responsibilities more seriously.
