Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Teams out on the pitch now.
Shakhtar gets us going, searching for a win that would put them on top of the group.
There's a definite Brazilian feel to the Shakhtar front line.
Oh - Jones did well to bulldoze his way into the box and earns an early corner.
Fred tries a pop at goal but Twilight scoops it up easily.
Oh - Texeira nearly opens the scoring there after a bad giveaway by the youngster Janu.
The crowd's really gone quiet as United's midfield has been coughing up the ball a lot.
Oh - Janu with a great half volley on the turn. Sharp save by Pyatov.
Blimey - Citeh are already 2-0 down to goals from Muller and Gotze. How good are Bayern!
Shakhtar look really comfortable in this position, despite needing a win for top spot.
Oh - Texeira again breaks through the United backline but shoots straight at Twilight.
Good afternoon, Bob. How have you been? I will be on for a little while.
But for the profligate finishing by Fred, Shakhtar might well be 1-0 up.
Afternoon, MUR - I'm unfortunately going to have to run off to work at half-time, but I've been enjoying the first half whilst having lunch.
There's the half-time whistle. As it stands, United will be top but they could use a morale boosting win here. I'm off - catch you later!
Cheers Bob. Have fun at work.
Halftime and 0-0 at OT . Same score between sociedad and Bayer
Bayern lead Citeh 2-1 at the half.
Greetings from a snow-bound Fred-town. I've just trudged home from work and am propped up in front of the telly with a hot tea watching Napoli v. Arsenal and the rest of today's fixtures.
So who will join the eight that went into the pot for the knock-out rounds yesterday? Those were:
Group A:
1. United
2. Leverkusen (edging out Shakhtar)
Group B:
1. Real
2. Gala (edging out Juve)
Group C:
1. PSG
2. Olympiacos (edging out Benfica)
Group D:
1. Bayern
2. Citeh
Chelski are 1-0 up over Steau, which would put them top of Group E, just edging out Basel. Schalke and Basel are at 0-0.
Marseille have just equalized against Dortmund, but they're down to ten men.
Arsenal and Napoli are at 0-0. Right now it would be Arsenal going through top and Dortmund just edging out Napoli.
Atletico are 1-0 up over Porto, which would put them through top. Zenit are at 0-0 away to Vienna and currently in second spot in Group G.
Finally, Barca are 1-0 up over Celtic, which would put them top of Group H. Milan and Ajax are tight as a tick at 0-0 in the San Siro.
Good afternoon, Bob. I should be around for a good part of the second half. Hope you are braving the wintry conditions.
I think Gala defeated Juve 1-0 earlier today with a late Wesley Schenider goal that put Gala through and means that Juve parachute to the Europa League.
Barca three up vs Celtic at the half and the goal shown on the highlights illustrates that the Bhoys have been easily picked apart.
The second half is underway from Bob's hometown with Gooner's team the visitors.
We're set to go with the second half now. Arsenal 45 minutes away from qualifying top.
Barca now four up vs Celtic.
Hello Bob. How are you in the winter wonderland?
Poor effort well wide by Ozil.
Afternoon, MUR - I'm sure your weather is better than ours today. I'm happy to have my feet up with a cuppa watching the footer.
Schalke take the lead vs Basel and that would be enough to send them through with Chelsea. Basle Brush would parachute to the Europa League
It is dreary, damp, and in the 50s. The locals are wanting hot beverages too.
It would be a shocker if Dortmund parachute to the Europa League.
I'd be happier to see Schalke than Basel in the next round.
I've been surprised at how passive my hometown boys have been in this match. Arsenal have come just not to lose and they're there for the taking.
Honda, the Japanese playmaker with CSKA Moscow, will join AC Milan ion January. A bit of a surprise signing.
A indictment of Raffa's tactics more than anything else.
True - last year's finalists dumped into the EL would be a shock.
What about the Italians?! Juve are already out earlier today, as you mentioned. Napoli are on the ropes, as are Milan. They could all be out by 5pm.
Lots of empty seats . A surprise, IMHO.
The Italians have been a surprise except for Napoli, who were not expected to advance from this group.
Lorenzo Insigne on for Goran Pandev.
Schalke two up vs Basel and surely all but through tot he knockout stages
Oh dear - the left back Almaro was in there one-on-one with Sussudio and he shot straight at him.
Almero straight at Seu Seu Seudio and should have given Napoli the lead.
Barca five up vs Celtic.
Callejon, on loan from Real, nearly connected on a great cross from Maggio.
Napoli with only 64% passing accuracy, not typical of a Raffa side and that might explain their difficulty in breaking down the Gunners
Well over by Mertens from long range.
Another chance squandered there. But Napoli definitely have their tails up.
Arteta picks up a yellow for a rash one.
Arteta booked for a lunge on Behrami, the Swiss ex Hammer
Barca are now 5-0 up over woeful Celtic - Neymar has bagged his first hat-trick for the Catalan side.
Giroud idiotically, is booked for time wasting on an offside decision. That was completely unnecessary.
Ramsey on for Car Thola.
Sue Seu Seudio saves comfortably from Insigne.
Oh - now it's Higuain with a wasteful shot. He was never going to hit that angle.
Higuain through on goal, but at an angle, blasts over.
Sue Sue Suedio punches away a free kick from Mertens , but Higuain volleys straight to the keeper.
Barca six up vs Celtic.
GOAL! Higuain finally comes good!
Now Arsenal really are under pressure. If things shift in Dortmund's favor, the Gunners may end up in the Europa. What a turnaround!
I am off to an appointment. It was great chatting.
CHEERS MATE!
It's gone from bad to worse - Arteta is off! Arsenal down to ten men. The Gunners are deep in it now!
That seemed harsh but Arteta has been nibbling all day long. Arsene is not happy. 14 minutes for them to hold out. It's all men to the pump time.
Cheerio, mate!
Arsenal just trying to retain possession now.
Ramsey's gotten involved in something on the touchline and he's picked up a yellow.
Barca are 6-0 up!
Oh bloody hell - Dortmund have scored. Napoli are going out unless they can score another couple.
The crowd is egging the Napoli players forward now. It's desperation time!
Napoli have three minutes of stoppage time to find two more goals. A tall order indeed.
One minute down now. It's looking good for Arsenal going through top.
GOAL! Napoli have pulled another back. They've got 30 seconds to put the Gunners out now!
That's it! The ref blows up right after the kick-off. It's not enough for Napoli in the end but a valiant effort.
Fox have immediately switched over to Marseille now. Wonderful coverage.
In Group E, Chelski are through top and Schalke are second, edging out Basel.
Arsenal and Dortmund look set for qualification out of Group F.
Atletico and Zenit are through from Group G.
And Barca and Milan are through from Group H.
