Back with a Bang!
We're back with the Premiership this morning after a lengthy international break. I had a late, late night out so it's important that we're starting with the match of the weekend, otherwise I'd be conking out on the couch with a Stoke v. WBA. It's Liverpool at the Emirates - two footballing teams in good form - to start us off, with the added interest of the Raheem Sterling drama. Then stick around for United v. Villa at 10 am EST and Chelski v. Stoke at 12:30pm.

And thank the stars that Raheem Sterling starts for Liverpool today. The team news:
Arsenal: Ospina, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Ramsey, Ozil, Cazorla, Sanchez, Giroud.
Subs: Gibbs, Gabriel, Rosicky, Walcott, Flamini, Welbeck, Macey.
Liverpool: Mignolet, Can, Toure, Sakho, Henderson, Allen, Lucas, Moreno, Markovic, Sterling, Coutinho.
Subs: Jones, Johnson, Lovren, Sturridge, Manquillo, Borini, Brannagan.
Referee: Anthony Taylor (England)
So Raheem starts up front alone with Coutinho tucking in. Sturridge starts on the bench. Arsenal play it much more daring with player of the month Giroud paired with Alexis and Cazorla up front. Should be fascinating.
Arsenal start the match in third with 60 points and a GD of 27. Liverpool are on 54 points and really need n away win to close the gap.
Teams coming out now at the Emirates. Can't wait!
Liverpool get us underway wearing a black change stop - not sure why.
Alexis has an early effort - wide of the mark.
Good morning Bob. Great to join you this morning .
Arsene's got his silly long blue coat on, unzipped of course.
Morning, MUR - great timing. Welcome!
Mignolet saves well from Caz - lots of intricate approach work from the Arsenal early doors.
Minnie saves from Caz
Oh - Mignolet saves again from Ramsey and Toure mops up the rebound. Corner.
Cheers mate. How di Arsenal not score Kolo tackled by Ramsey on his return to the EM. A great save by Minnie then makes up for it by Tackling for a corner then the Gunners in another corner.
Congrats again on your team's efforts this week - you must be really chuffed.
Gooner must be cursing those missed chances while it hasn't been a Sterling start from Pool who seem to still be on international break.
Pool in danger of being overran early doors.
Sterling has a problem with his foot now after a clash with Koz.
Cheers mate. It was really a great season as we had never placed in those events in all my years at the school. It was my first full season coaching those events. A new teacher helped me coached the other math events.
Really poor from Ozil who fails to collect a lovely long ball from Alexis. That won't endear the fans to him this afternoon.
Sounds like you deserve a year-end bonus from the admin, no?
Arsenal are keeping a really high line, which seems madness against a pacy front line like Liverpool's. Sterling ruled offside there but it was a tight call.
Cheers mate.I do get a stipend for coaching those events. I get $900 per event up to two events plus $50 per meets attended up to six meets. It will be $2100 before taxes.
Yes. The Gunners have been camped in the Liverpool half. How are they not in front. Gunner and dad must be frustrated while my brother must not be pleased with the Liverpool performance.
Liverpool starting to work their way back into this one after having weathered the early storm.
Oh - Markovic was a bit too unselfish there one on one with Ospina, dished off to Sterling who couldn't reach it.
Now Pool should have gone in front as Coutinho superbly found Markovic. All he had to do was play a square ball, so the central character could tap into an empty net, but he got it horribly wrong as he passed out of play.
Coutinho was not too far off with that curling effort. Correct Bob. They are coming back into this match
Oh - Sterling with a great run but he dragged his shot wide. This one is wide open now.
OH! Just wide by Sterling as Markovic nicked the ball off of Caz , found Sterling, who turned Kos and shot just wide.
The announcer said Sterling is determined to show the word how well he can play. I think he's determined top show Arsene how well he can play.
Did you see that BEIN had a championship triple header yesterday? Today Leeds host Blackburn in a War of the Roses Derby then travel to face Wolves on Monday.
I just noticed that two League One matches are in the early stages of the second half.. Bob will not be pleased that the Evil Blades are one up in a South Yorkshire Derby at Barnsley. It's 0-0 between Swindon and the Fake Dons in a promotion six pointer.
GOAL! Ballerina with the Arsenal opener!
Bellerin was shown the inside track there and skipped around the Liverpool defenders and curled one in.
1-0!
GOAL !!! BELLERIN GIVES THE GUNNERS THE LEAD WITH A SUPERB CURLING FINISH IN THE CORNER AS HE DID WELL TO TURN MORENO PRIOR TO THE SHOT.
Sakho fouls Beaker about 25 yards out
GOAL! Ozil fires in a second for the Gunners and they are flying now.
Great free kick there from the German, curled around the wall. But Mignolet seemed to be out of position.
2-0!
GOAL !!! THE BEAKER PUTS THE GUNNERS TWO UP WITH A SUPRB CURLING FREE KICK IN THE SAME EXACT SPOT THAT BELLERIN PUT HIS SHOT.
The announcer said that there was two minutes and 18 seconds between the goals as Kolo concedes a cheap corner on his return to the EM. Giroud heads wide from a corner by Kaz.
Ozil really needed that goal to restore the confidence of the Em faithful.
I just saw that there is dancing oiancing in the streets of Alex.
Holy moly - 3-0! Alexis Sanchez!
Lots of dancing in Alex now!
Arsenal ripping Pool apart now, Alexis skipping inside a prostrate Toure and lashing it over Minnie's arms.
Hey Boys
Had a little lie in.
WOW...three goals by the Arse!
All three have been good goals!!
Any score here is good for United as long as we can beat Villa
GOAL !!! THE GUNNERS GO THREE UP SECONDS BEFORE STOPPAGE TIME AS ALEXIS SCORES A GOAL OUT OF THE TOP DRAWER . HE TURNED KOLO THEN SHOT A SCREAMER IN TO THE ROOF OF THE NET FROM 25 YARDS OUT.
3 goals in 8 minutes
The Gunners are tearing Liverpool apart as they are three up at the half.
Good morning UWS. Great to have you on board. what a first half from the Gunners
The Fake Dons have just taken the lead at Swindon.
I woke up at the twenty minute mark and Liverpool were just as good as Arse... how three goals in eight minutes change things!
Arsenal now in second place... United to third!
Not liking Arsenal adding to there goal difference
Red Bull in talks to buy Leeds?
Sturridge coming for the second half
He replaces Markovic
Fit for Pool but not for England
The second half is underway as Sturridge is on for Markovic. I think it's tactical despite Markovic not having the best perofrmance.
I had not heard about that. Anything after Cellino is an improvement.
We're back on at the Em now - this match is effectively over. What an end to that first half!
Morning, UWS - welcome to the party!
Can can NOT do that as he fouls Caz. Gabriel is on for the injured Kos. The free kick from Caz is headed out for a corner as Henderson is down
It sure is. Emre booked because he Can NOT talk like that to the ref!
Giroud straight to Minnie.
It has been 21 minutes for you to say hello BD
Will United keep the roll going after the first two good performances of the seasons against Spurs and Liverpool?
Arsenal still going for more goals - why not?
Sorry - I was making my brekkies, mate. How was your week?
Arsenal look like they will score every time they go forward
Bob will feel that it's an Evil League One today as the Evil Blades are two up at Barnsley and the Fake Dons are two up at Swindon.
Great save by Minny for a Giroud header
Long week but I have next week off!!!!!
Oh - Giroud with a great header there, well saved by Mignolet. Could easily have been four. Are Pool playing any defenders today?
Minnie superbly tips over a free header from Giroud off a cross from Alexis then heads a corner straight to Minnie.
Well in, mate - I hope you enjoy it.
Of course.. I'll be fired in a few years because of our FANTASTIC governor!
Ospina does well to turn around an effort from Can. His first save of the match
Well done , UWS. A deserved break. I was off yesterday for a three day weekend.
He's all talk and no walk, mate. You'll have a job as long as you want it.
I sure hope you don't get fired. I'm going to retire in four years. That should be enough time before they can do anything to me.
I'm with Bob on that.
Ramsey coming off - why not. They can start rotating in some subs now.
Arsene shutting up shop as Matty Falmini is on for Ramsey. Now he has two midfield destroyers on the pitch.
Wide by Coutinho , but Ospina would have saved it had it been on target.
Two final scores in League One and Bob will fell that they are Evil results as the Evil Blades won 0-2 at Barnsley and the Fake Dons won by the same score at Swindon.
Is this a good result for United or did you still harbor some hope of catching the top three?
Not at all happy with those results from L1. Both sides seem destined to end up in the playoffs. It'll be Bristol City, PNE and one other side into the Championship for next season.
Bellerin is booked for a foul.
I have mixed feelings about the result. I was hoping for a draw. The result means that we are all, but guaranteed a top four spot. You are correct that it will be difficult to catch the Gunners and Citeh. we still have to play those two.
The fizz has definitely gone out of this match. Pool seem really deflated.
Ozil coming off to be replaced by Welly.
Wellie is on for what looks like an exhausted Beaker.
I think both teams are ready for the final whistle. This could be the Cup Final.
Liverpool penalty earned by Sterling. Seemed the right decision. Ballerin could easily have been shown a second yellow card.
Henderson to take....
Scores low left show, just about saved by Ospina.
3-1!
PENALTY POOL AS BELLERIN IS CALLED FOR A TRIP ON STERLING . I THOUGHT IT WAS A FAIR TACKLE.
GOAL !!! HENDERSON SCORES A CONSOLATION GOAL FROM THE SPOT.
Both of my brothers are a victim of the jinx of the Gooner. One brother is a Liverpool fan and his team is losing to the Gunners. Another brother owns a few shares in Orlando City, who lost 0-1 at home to DC United last night.
Wellie was through , but Wellie blocked from him at a narrow angle then it went out off of wellie . Nice pass from Giroud.
Hey Boys
I am back from the loo and getting control of the computer again
As I said, either team winning or a draw would be okay for United as long as they beat Villa
It would extend our lead for a CL spot and only a point behind Arsenal A win at OT against them and we'll be above them... same as Citeh. A win against them and United are second. A win at Chelsea and maybe FIRST!!
Beat Villa
Emre Can off for a second yellow
The first one was his mouth!!!
Modern players are MORONS
Now it's Emre Can dicing with death, going through the back of Welly. And he is off! For a second yellow. Second sending off in two matches. Cor!
It gets worse for Pool as Can is guilty of a poor foul on Wellie and is sent off for a second booking. That should end any chances of a Liverpool comeback.
Minnie with some nice footwork after his teammate throws him in the deep end!!
Moreno with a suicidal backpass to Minnie there, well handled in the end. Very dangerous.
Late goal for Pool would hurt Arsenal's GD... I'll take it
What would you make of a United title given their form this season. You haven't been happy.
I've been happy for two weeks!!
Maybe they will win it... UWS would go flying up the PPP table!!!
United won't win the title this season, but will have to improve to have any chances next season.
OH!!!! Caz has a shot go off the outside of the post.
I have thought that Young hasn't done that bad this year and I would put him on the right in place of Valencia
I don't see Pool scoring a late goal. We have to hope the Gunners won't add to their goal difference in four minutes of stoppage time.
#4!!
Another great finish by the team in Red
It's FOUR! Giroud!
GOAL !!!! MY WORDS COME BACK TO HAUNT ME AS GIROUD SCORES WITH A CRACKING SHOT IN THE UPPER 90.
Giroud has scored in six consecutive prem games
Great run and shot with his left foot, gave Minnie no chance there. The Pool defense again very welcoming.
Minnie has had no chance for all four goals
It's 4-1 as Alexis played in Giroud with a nice pass as a clearance from Ospina was headed on to him.
A win today
A win at home to Citeh next week
Third place!
Beat Arsenal at OT
Second Place
Beat Chelsea away
Close to first
I'm just saying
Game over
I'm off to get dressed
Be back for United
It finishes 4-1 as the Gunners thrash Liverpool and scored four superb goals.
Next is United vs Aston Vanilla.
Liverpool have a tricky FA Cup replay at Ewood Park on Wednesday. They will be without Stevie G, Skrtel, and Can. No guarantees of a Cup Final for Pool.
The Line Ups at Old Trafford
Man Utd: De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Blind, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Fellaini, Young, Rooney.
Subs: Valdes, Rafael, McNair, A Pereira, Januzaj, Di Maria, Falcao.

Subs: Given, Vlaar, Bacuna, Cole, Gil, Baker, Grealish.
Rooney has scored eight goals in the last six league games against Villa at OT
I want United to go out and dominate!
We dropped two points against this lot in the reverse fixture
Anyone have a link for SS?
Leeds about to kick off against Blackburn. The LUFC side today:
Silvestri, Wootton, Bellusci, Bamba, Berardii, Austin, Murphy, Byram, Mowatt, Taylor, Morison. Subs: Sharp, S. Taylor, Dawson, Doukara, Cooper, Antenucci, Philips.

They're off from OT.
COME ON MAN UNITED!
Decent cross by Blind
Found one: http://www.gofeed2all.eu/watch/331880/1/watch-soccer-saturday-.html
Come on United
Go forward!!!
Lively start at Goodison Park according to Alan Mac.
I've given you this website many times
I have it bookmarked.
It is only for SS

Cheers, mate. I'm all set.
Roon went down theatrical but I think it was a pen but try and stay up!!!
STAY UP
Might easily been a pen there, with Clark just about strangling Roon in the box.
Reading one up against Cardiff
Agreed but still try and stay up!
A couple of half chance now for Gabby Ag. This has been a fizzing start at OT.
Ags hurt
Jones pathetic again
Chris Waddle on the BBC
"Wayne Rooney is going ballistic at the referee and rightly so. He was just about to pull the trigger and was pulled to the floor. For me it's a red card and a clear penalty."
Goal at Reading - to the home side. Pav Pogs with the goal.
I think Chrissy is probably right.
You just ignore all posts Dahlgren!!
Nocito Sports Center already posted that score!
Come on United
Win four nil
too slow United
great run by Young... Mata should have scored
The ball came loose and Mata hammered it off a Villa defender.
Sorry, mate - I'm not ignoring you. You're just too quick for me.
Great run by Mata... find a man though!
WE NEED A GOAL
More trickery now from Mata but he ran into a wall of Villa defenders. Another United corner.
More chaos at Elland Road. Assistant manager suspended, Antenucci not allowed to start today. Blimey!
What on earth is happening at ER?
Assistant manager suspended
Manager may go
What happened?
Blackpool takes the lead at the Reebok
Blackpool have a goal! Will wonders never cease!?
You knew about before, right?
First thing I'd heard of those developments. I have no clue. It just continues to be crazy at Leeds. Hoping to limp through to the summer and then rebuild around a new manager.
Leicester take the lead against bubble bursting Hammers
I read about it earlier in the week and heard some stuff on talksport
Craziness. Would love to have Russell Crowe come in and clean things up.
Leicester have a penalty
Leicester are 1-0 up through Cambiasso and now have a pen.
Penalty saved!!
Oh - Nugent has his pen saved by Adrian. Bit of gamesmanship by the keeper apparently.
QPR take the lead at the Hawthorns
I'm back after restarting my computer . United should have scored minutes earlier, but for two blocked shots from Cieran Clark. A penalty would have been a soft call.
Come on United!!!!
Everton have scored against Sotton
Jags scored for the Toffees
Blackpool, fighting for their Cjhampionship lives , have taken the lead at Bolton while the Reading Railroad have taken the lead vs Evil Cardiff.
Way behind the times MUR!!!
A win vs the Toffees would be good news for United,
We better win here!
The window has been open.. we have to crash thru it!
Swansea score
United game only one with no goals
I sure am. My computer took forever to restart. Jacquelyn was helping me run spyware and malware to remove threats. I think it worked.
Now you're having a go at MUR?!
Blackburn have been denied a big chance. Phew!
Read the bloody posts!!!!!
Glad to have you back in action, mate.
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
Just to spite you - Everton have taken the lead through Jags and QPR are 0-1 up away to the Baggies with Vargas the scorer.
Phhhttt!
Not a good cross by Young
We need a goal
I'm used to it
Arsenal beat Pool 4-1
Australia won the Cricket World Cup
Ireland won the Six Nations
Get the cross over Blind
Phil Jones's best position? Somewhere other than OT. That would be my decision. Ship him off to ER!
Rojo with with a rocket... saved by Guzan
Guzan does well to tip over from Rojo.
You do need a break, mate. You're super grumpy this morning.
I wonder if Bob and Dave agree with my comment about Phil Jones,
Are you talking to me or chewing on a brick?
Either way you lose your teeth
Totally agree... he is an IDIOT!
United are blowing it here
Still annoyed with Rooney falling down
Get a shot off and have a pen called when it is saved!
Valencia finds Rooney but his Mata-like volley is missed
I'd have Phil Jones at Elland Road, ta very much.
PUT IT AWAY ROON. A collector's item as a rare good cross from Valencia and Roon heads miles wide with a free header. Nice pass from Herrera.
United need to win and win with some goals
COME ON
Take him
I agree about the penalty decision. I want United to win, but a penalty would have been a ridiculous decision.
