Day 13 - Group F Wraps Up!
Morning, lads! As Group F wraps up today, we'll find England's destiny for the Round of 16. As it stands right now, Hungary sit atop Group F on 4 points. They'll face Portugal, who have had a poor run at Euro 2016 with two dreary draws, and sit in third on 2 points level with Iceland in second on superior goal difference. Iceland meet Austria, who have shown little apart from their ability to frustrate Cristiano Ronaldo. Join me for all the LOB shenanigans this afternoon.

The ESPN coverage has started with all eyes on Skippy. Anything could happen. Well almost anything. All four of the teams in Group F could yet qualify for the last 16. Group leaders Hungary have defied predictions, betting odds, and glum expressions from those that picked them out in the office sweepstake to book their place in the knockout round, but could still finish in third. Today’s opponents, Portugal could finish anywhere from first to last.
The team news out of Lyon this afternoon:
Hungary 4-2-3-1: Kiraly; Lang, Juhasz, Guzmics, Korhut; Pinter, Elek; Lovrencsics, Gera, Dzsudzsak; Szalai.
Portugal 4-4-1-1: Rui Patricio; Vieirinha, Pepe, R. Carvalho, Eliseu; Joao Mario, W. Carvalho, Moutinho, Andre Gomes; Ronaldo; Nani
Referee: Martin Atkinson (England)
The teams are out on the pitch now enjoying the atmosphere and anthems. I hope this is an enthralling occasion.
A bit of social media chatter about the presence of Martin Atkinson tonight due to England's interest in this group's outcome.
Speaking of England, I reckon that we England fans should hope for draws or wins for both Hungary and Iceland. That would pair England against either side and not Portugal.
Portugal get us underway wearing an odd green away kit.
Early corner for Portugal and test for the sweat bottomed Kiraly in the Hungarian goal.
My boy Nani had a chance there but his first touch was poor and it ran easily through to Kiraly.
Skippy is upended by Juhasz and he gets a bollocking from Atkinson.
Moutinho to swing this one in....
Knocked out of trouble and Mario hoofs it well over.
This is looking a bit ominous right now for Hungary. It's been a rear-guard effort.
That's a bit better - Hungary get down the pitch in a hurry and Dudek swings a cross over. Corner earned.
End to end stuff now - Nani breaks free and runs the length of the pitch to earn a corner.
Oh - free header for Nani - but gets the timing all wrong.
Hungary have a good free kick opportunity now - they've looked dangerous from set pieces.
Poor delivery from Dzsudzsak and it's cleared away.
Guzmics picks up a yellow for a lunge in on Nani.
Hungary have weathered the first quarter of an hour of Portugal pressure. It's also 0-0 between Iceland and Austria in St. Denis. That won't help the goal/game ratio here at France 2016 but it suits England and me.
Skippy tried to lean in for a header but Juhasz beat him to it. Corner. And another.
Nani has not had the best start to his 99th cap, but he is right in the thick of things.
Decent break there for Hungary but Pepe was there to knock out the cross for a corner.
GOAL! Oh - what a strike! The ball was poorly cleared out by Skippy and Zoltan Gera hammered it back laser like into the right corner.
Hungary 1-0 up!!!!
Well, well, well - that goal puts well on top of the group on 7 points.
Iceland are also in the lead 1-0 now. They would be on 5 points. And Portugal, as it stands, would be out!
Nani is knocked over setting up a Skippy special from wide left.
The shot is deflected off the bottom of the wall and trickles through to Kiraly. Wonderful.
Half an hour gone and, despite their pressure, Portugal have been well and truly frustrated.
Zoltan Gera goes into the book now - another free kick chance for Skippy - woeful.
The first half is winding down; this match has gone exactly to plan. Wahay!
GOAL! And just like that, Portugal are back in business.
Dani breaks through and slides a shot under Kiraly at the near post.
1-1!
So, now, it's
Hungary - 5 points
Iceland - 5 points
Portugal - 3 points
Austria - 1 point
Portugal would meet Croatia on Saturday if these results held up.
We're back on for the second half now and Hungary have an early free kick.
And it's straight in!!!!!!
Hungary are 2-1 up!! Wonderful!
GOAL! Skippy responds almost immediately with a delicious back flick.
2-2!
What a finish from Ronaldo there - got to give it up to the man. He delivered there.
Skippy has broken a record there for being the first player to score in four different European Championships.
Oh - Nani was inches from a third goal. This game is crackling!
GOAL! Incredible - Hungary are back in the lead!!!!
It's the man Dzsudzsak with a thunderous drive that was deflected again past Rui Patricia.
Lovely to see Skippy having a tantrum after that goal.
And believe it or not we still have 35 minutes of this one left. Phew!
Oh - Joao Mario junked inside and move room for a shot. Shanked his shot wide.
Skippy tries one from distance - sad effort.
Schopf has equalized for Austria. Doesn't change things in the group.
GOAL! Skippy has done it again! Nods home from the corner.
He's trying to rescue this team on his own. Marvelous header!
3-3!
Oh - off the angle of the goal there from Elek! Nearly 4-3 there.
Oh - almost another goal for Hungary. This is hands-down the best match of the tournament so far. Great stuff!
Quaresma has really changed things since coming on.
Bloody hell - now that Portugal have racked up a load of goals, they're on a collision course with us again. We need another Iceland goal but quick.
Or another Portugal goal would have them topping the group. That would be preferable. Anything but a match with England, please.
Still 15 minutes for things to change here.
Apparently, it's the Fair Play rule that would pit Portugal against England. Portugal have only two bookings to Iceland's six, so they're second at present.
Oh - Quaresma pulls the trigger and fizzes a shot wide of the mark.
Danilo on for Nani now.
The Hungarians look knackered right now.
Three minutes of stoppage time now - come on - someone bloody score!!!
No one is bothered about this match at this point - just sinking it about. They're pleased with the 3-3.
We need a goal - come on!
And that's it! 3-3 draw.
We need a goal for Iceland, please.
Phew! That was quite something. By my calculations, then, that means that Hungary top the group and will face the second place team in Group E on Sunday evening.
Iceland wth that last gasp goal will finish second and will face England on Monday evening.
And Portugal survive based on that draw and will face Croatia on Saturday evening.
