D-Day for the Italians
Sweden take a slender 1-0 home win into the cauldron of the San Siro this afternoon in the second leg against mighty Italy. What would the World Cup be without the Italians? We may just be about to find out, gentlemen. One away goal and Italy would have to score three times. Crikey!
I'll have half an eye on this one while I'm working this afternoon. Join me if you can.

Early penalty shout for the Italians!
Penalty shout for Sweden! Surely that was a handball. Again, waved away!
It’s not a pretty game, but at the very least it’s nice to the the San Siro bouncing. It’s been a while since I’ve watched a game where the atmosphere is this intense here.
Coming down to the end of the first half. Italy are still 1-0 down. The Swedes are likely to park the bus in the second half and try to hit them on the break. This one is delicately poised.
Nearly an hour gone and it's still 0-0. Panic stations?
Italy hit the bar!
The Italians are getting a large dose of their own medicine tonight, with loads of diving and time wasting from the Swedes now. Time is ticking away at San Siro is starting to get quiet.
Five added minutes!
