Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

The Future of the US National Team

I came across an interesting feature in the Guardian this morning about the future of the US National Team. Of course, Bruce Arena's side expected to be in Russia. So, now as they gather for a training camp ahead of two friendlies (against Bolivia on Monday and against Ireland on Saturday and then finally against France next week), the question is how to bounce back from its disastrous 2018 World Cup qualification campaign. My feeling is that, as the graphic above represents, to much hope (and pressure) is being heaped on the 19 year old shoulders of Christian Pulisic, who is rumored to be making a move to the Premiership this week.

Thanks for sharing this great article. The U.S. is back to where it was in the mid 80s. The match vs Bolivia is on FS 1 with kick off at 6:30 PM while the match in Dublin will be on the Deuce Saturday afternoon.
