A Rather Snowy Saturday
Upstate New York from Buffalo to Albany is facing its first big weather event of the winter season this weekend. So, what better than to leave that shovel in the garage for the morning and settle ion for a footie fest. It all starts with Wolves v. Leicester in a few moments. At 10am, we've got league leaders Liverpool against Palace, the featured match on NBC Sports, as well as our two Uniteds playing. Finally, the late one is a biggie - Arsenal v. Chelski. Join me for a cuppa and a chat, won't you?

Morning, chaps! We're almost set for this mid-table clash. Wolves are in their storied old gold, while Leicester sport their famous blue. Hi ho, Wolverhampton, we’ll be off in a minute.
Team news out of Molineux:
Wolverhampton Wanderers: Rui Patricio, Bennett, Coady, Dendoncker, Jonny, Saiss, Neves, Ruben Vinagre, Joao Moutinho, Jimenez, Jota.
Subs: Doherty, Ivan Cavaleiro, Helder Costa, Gibbs-White, John Ruddy, Giles, Traore.
Leicester City: Schmeichel, Simpson, Morgan, Maguire, Chilwell, Mendy, Ndidi, Ricardo Pereira, Gray, Barnes, Vardy.
Subs: Evans, Iheanacho, Maddison, Albrighton, Ward, Fuchs, Choudhury.
Referee: Chris Kavanagh (Lancashire).
Mendy with a "Welcome to the Match" challenge on Jimenez early doors. He picks up a yellow for that one.
Oh - Neves with a curler from distance. Tipped around by Kasper quite brilliantly.
GOAL! Jota pokes home from an inviting cross.
Wolves 1-0 up early on!
Oh - Rui Patricio made a hash of that clearance and let Vardy in. He got crowded out in the end.
Now it's Maguire who has a free header from a corner. Puts it over. This has been a breathless first five minutes or so.
Now Maguire has gone down after a tackle on Jota. Could be a problem for him. Jonny Evans up warming up.
Blimey! Wolves are two-nil up. Ryan Bennett beats Maguire in the air at a corner.
2-0!
Leicester have a long way back now but I wouldn't put it past them. There will be chances in this one.
Oh - Gray is played in and pulls a great save out of Rui Patricio!
Good morning, Bob. How have you been? Slept in a little late and see that I've missed two goals
In addition to Pool vs Palace on NBC at 10 , United vs the Seagulls is on CNBC at 10 as well.
Oh - Jota was in again from a great ball in from Jimenez. Shot ti straight at Kasper.
OH!!! Raul Jimenez got past Chilly, put in a great cross and Jota headed straight to Kasper as he ghosted in to position with a free header from three yards out
Morning, MUR! Great to have you on board this morning. Any snow down your way? ;-)
Morning Boys
I am finally downstairs. I saw Wolves second goal... a lot chances made by both sides
Big storm indeed, we are in the pocket of the most snow... 18-26 inches... followed by a snap freeze... -25 to -45F Windchill
LOL! It was 80 yesterday. Will be rather chilly tomorrow. Lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s.
Good morning , Dave! WOW! Doesn't sound safe to do any outdoor activities. Stay warm lads!
Morning, UWS - I suppose you'll have to suspend your usual walkies, eh?
I feel for you David!
Play stops as Ruben Neves us down , holding his head off a challenge from Vardy.
Thanks, Dave. The roles reverse in the Summer when you all get to tease me about the intense heat
Well....Shadow is a Husky
A moment's applause. Not sure why
That does definitely help. He must love this weather.
Not sure if this was posted, but Bob will not be pleased that the Canaries defeated Monk's Brummies 3-1 yesterday.
Yeah - that wasn't a great result for us. But we just have to keep winning, despite what the others do. We've got Stoke up at Mordor (as Gooner likes to call it) today.
Shadow is a Husky...but you're not, mate. Chuck him out in the backyard for a poop, eh?
It was 1-1 very early and then 3-1 by half time
Good point!
Oh - Jimenez is in on goal again but Kasper saves well with his boot. Wolves could be three or four up if it weren't for Kasper's efforts this morning.
Moutinho gets his shot all wrong and it goes out for a throw!
Great kick save by De Gea from Jimenez. Sorry, Kasper.
Do they call him Kasper because his defenders defend like a bunch of friendly ghosts.
Johnny Otto wins a corner off of Chilly.
Coming up Liverpool vs Palace on NBCSN and Man Utd vs Brighton on CNBC... so glad there are two games on today!
Of course, the CNBC game is a repeat of the 1983 FA Cup Final....I'll take a repeat of the replay please
The NBCSN match is the repeat of the 1990 FA Cup Semi Final when Palace shocked Liverpool
What was the score of the league match at Anfield that season?
Vinegar has corner cleared by the first man , Vardy. Horrible corner.
Ryan Bennett booked for obstructing Vardy on the break. Beaten for speed.
Goalscorer Bennett picks up a yellow card souvenir after a quite cynical block on Vardy.
I think it was 9-0 to Pool at Anfield and 4-3 to Palace in the Cup semi.
Now it's Ricardo into the book. It's call kicking off a bit as we edge to half time.
Peerreira booked for a horrible foul on fellow Portugese player, Jota.A pair of stoppage time minutes
Foxes look really frustrated./
Jota booked for a foul on Danny Simpson. His reaction suggests it was a decision made by Homer.
Wolves two up at the half.
Correct with both scores David
Not sure why Kapser is letting the Wolves players have it. Should be having a go at his friendly ghosts in the blue shirts.
Cheers, Dave.
Second half underway from Molineaux.
Back on at Molineux. Leicester may be mid table but Claude Puel is under considerable pressure after two successive losses. Still, I smell some goals coming, with both sides playing expansive football. So, perhaps they can turn it around?
GOAL! And just as soon as I type that, Demari Gray puts the Foxes back in it!
2-1!
GOAL !!! DAMARI GRAY SCORES A TYPICAL FOXES GOAL TO PULL IT BACK TO 2-1
After Harry Maguire finally makes way for Jonny Evans. He probably should have gone off when he picked up the initial knock.
Oh - Barnes streaks through now and Rui Patricio is forced to tip over for a corner.
OH!!! vardy puts through Harvey Barnes and his shot is tipped over by Rui Patricio.
In the loo for the first couple minutes of the second half and I miss a goal....GAME ON
Well done, mate! Your olfactory senses are in superb working order.
Welcome back. How missed goals while in the bog?
GOAL! Desmond! Leicester are back in it with a Barnes goal. I called that one!
Just checked out 5Live and talkSport on my British Radio app... for some reason this match is not blacked out on the Beeb...I am going to take Shadow now and be back in plenty of time for United
DESMOND!!!
The goal went in slightly earlier on the radio then the TV!!
I am off
On the replay, it's clear that Barnes' shot was going wide and benefited from a deflection off a defender. Own goal?
Be safe out there, mate - it's absolutely chucking down here.
GOAL !! DESMOND . CHILLY WENT ON A GREAT RUN GETTING PAST DENDONCKER . PAST TO HARVEY BARNES WHO CORED WITH A DEFLECTION OFF OF CONNOR COADY
Agreed. Be safe, Dave
Back to the first goal. A typical Foxes goal on the break. Smash and grab as a cross from Vinegar was headed out by Harvey Barnes. To Vardy, who turned Ryan Bennett. He put through Damari Gray, who beat Dendoncker for speed and scored with a well placed shot.
Do your superb olfactory senses smell another goal?
Peter Dreary says that Harvey Barnes is being denied his first prem goal since it's being given as a Connor Coady OG
Ndidi ndived in a bit there and picked up a yellow card for his troubles.
Ndidi now booked for the Foxes.
Wolves are struggling to retain possession. Credit to Claude Puel for a thoroughly effective half-time bollocking.
Great Potugese combo as Vinegar passed to Jota and his close range effort was blocked by Wes Morgan
A tale of two halvbs?
GOAL! Jota has his brace and Wolves are 3-2 up!
GOAL !!! JOTA WITH HIS SECOND AS WOLVES REGAIN THE LEAD. NOW 3-2
Morgan was having a nap there as Neves played the ball over the top. Jota did the rest, cracking a great low shot past Kasper.
A really simple goal as the Foxes were given a taste of their medicine . A cross was headed out by Ryan Bennett and more great Portugese combo play as A long ball from Ruben Neves found Jota, who got behind Wes Morgan. He scored off of Kapser with just Kasper to beat
Wes Morgan defending as if he drank a bottle of Captain Morgan! BOOM BOOM!
Harvey Barnes correctly denied the goal. Either way , not popular with Wolves fans due to his loan spell at the Baggies the first half of this season.
Looks like Conor Coady has been credited with an o.g. for that second Leicester goal. His second this week!
Nice one, MUR - perhaps he had a nip at the interval?
Jonny Evans concedes a corner to Wolves.
Cheers, mate. Sure seems that way
I'm glad he isn't at WBA anymore. He was scoring buckets full for them and was a real threat.
More boos for Harvey Barnes due to his loan spell at local rivals, the Baggies.
Agreed. That's one less problem to worry about
One less Portugese player and one Irish player as Doherty is on for Vinegar.
In the words of UWS, the Fourth President is on for Harvey Barnes.
Barnes come off after a great outing. Our fourth President on in his stead.
A tale of two Daves. I missed the first two goals and Dave the next three.
I agree with the color guy - Puel should have withdrawn one of the midfielders on a yellow card instead of Barnes who looked lively.
Well, the dog runs his life, eh?
I am back....Shad just turned around!
Heard the goal on the Beeb
Wolves play at the Shrews in the Cup, who came from two down to defeat Stoke in a replay.Good news for Leeds, who play at Stoke today
l have only seen two of the five!
United are unchanged from match at Wembley
Welcome back. Glad you are back in the warm house.
So , I was correct in stating you missed three?
I don't blame him, mate. I'm not going near it!
Another Portugese player being replaced for Wolves as local academy grad, Morgan Gibbs-White, on for Moutinho
Not great Presidential form as JM shoots wide from, close range
Sanchez is on the bench for United
A striker for a right back as Ihenacho on for Danny Simpson.
Should he be impeached for that effort, MUR?
Great to read about the lineups.
Definitely. It's as if he imposed a government shutdown.
Arsenal and Chelsea play in the late match
I would take a draw or a one goal victory for Arsenal
AND a United win of course
The Foxes off nest weekend for losing in the Third round at Newport. They were smoking in the Boys Room!
I prefer a draw in the late match. United play at the EM on Friday
Jonny Otto booked for a foul on Mendy.
Scottish FA Cup
Auchinleck Talbot 1 Ayr United 0
Result
Are they a relation to Brian?
3-3!!!
GOAL! Morgan makes it 3-3!
GOAL !!!!CAPTAIN MORGAN WILL DRINK TO THAT AS HE HEADS IN THE FREE KICK FROM THE FOURTH PRESIDENT! NOW 3-3.
Great cross in from the Prez and Morgan did really well to fend off three or four defenders.
Nice one, UWS! . One of the giant killings of all time North of the Border. Ayr candidates for promotion to the SPL
Impeachment proceedings denied!
Martin O'Neil opens his account today at home to Bristol City
A Old Favorite back in town.... will he be a success?
Keano to join him...another favorite at the City Ground
Wolves pushing for a late winner now.
Head tennis off the corner from Morgan Gibbs-White and fellow sub, Matt Doherty heads just wide. A trio of stoppage time minutes, which may increase.
WOW! Great update, UWS. Dion't know Karanka had walked the plank. Keane joining him would be a great story.
Haven't done this much.... let's have some predictions for the later matches
Bournemouth West Ham....Home win
Liverpool Palace...home win
Man Utd Brighton....home win
Newcastle Cardiff....home win
Southampton Everton ....home win
Watford Burnley.... draw
Arsenal Chelsea...draw
Wolves almost in there at the death
Oh - Jota tried to trundle through there but Kasper grabbed on to it.
Jota put through and stopped due to a superb last ditch tackle.
GOAL! Jota has his hat-trick!
WOLVES HAVE WON IT!!
HOW IS HE SO OPEN!!!!
Where were the Fox defenders!!!
GOAL !!! NOW JOTA DOES WIN IT AND HAS A HAT-TRICK AS IT'S NOW 4-3 WOLVES.
Same score as when the two teams last met at Molineaux in the Prem
Great break there from Neves to Jimenez to Jota for the finish.
Puel is gutted.
I hate that rule!!
The scorer was WELL OFFSIDE but the ball didn't go him but he had an unfair advantage on the defenders as the ball came to him!!
Claude Puel can't believe it and Wolves manager, Nuno Spirit Saints has been sent off for some reasons./
Nuno has been sent off for excessive celebrations. Silly rule.
Agreed, UWS. The move should have been flagged off because Jota was miles offside.
Leicester refuse to kick the ball in the box.... that's it
Game over
Great match
It's over and Wolves win it late 4-3 . Same score as when the two teams last met here in the Prem
It's all over at Molineux and it's Paradise City for Wolves.
But the law says he wasn't offside!
Again, as soon as the other guy gets the ball...the scorer has a five yard head start on the defender
No one ever says anything about it
THAT IS OFFSIDE
Nice diagonal pass from Neves to Jimenez and his cross was put away by Jota. Agreed about the offside rule.
Late riser Kate says, "Happy Soccer Saturday" to all of you!
Happy Soccer Saturday to Kate too!
Predictions?
Stupid law.
Leicester have Liverpool, Man U and Spurs...Yikes
NO ONE says anything about it
Way hay.... Red Button channel working.... Final Score starting now.... LOVE IT!!!
Again... don't say anything about the bloke in the middle.... it gains an unfair advantage!
Wish it was Soccer Saturday but Final Score will do for me!
Kate is now an official LUFC fan. Gooner gave us complementary t-shirts for our birthdays.
Mine has Sammy Saiz on it and says, "Saiz Matters!"
Kate's has Kemar Roofe on it and says, "Raise It!"
Jota is the first Wolves player to score a top flight hat-trick since John Richards in October 1977
He was a great goal scorer

600+ days since Liverpool lost at home.... to Palace!
Final Score showing teams coming out at Old Trafford
Brighton looking for three straight wins against United!
The preliminaries are over and we're getting down to it. I've got both matches up on the telly. And I'll be following the LUFC text for the Stoke v. Leeds. MOT!
Round of applause for Sir Matt at OT
We are off at OT
United attacking the Stretford End in the first half
Off from Anfield then 35 seconds later from OT
A few selections of note ...
Manchester United: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fields an unchanged side against Brighton.
Brighton: Chris Hughton also fields an unchanged side.
Liverpool: James Milner looks likely to fill in for Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back. Naby Keita and centre-back Joel Matip also come in for the injured Georginio Wijnaldum and Xherdan Shaqiri. Fabinho moves back into midfield after deputising in central defence last weekend.
Crystal Palace: Goalkeeper Julian Speroni - currently the Premier League’s oldest player, who turns 40 in May - makes his first appearance since December 2017 because of injuries to Vicente Guaita and Wayne Hennessey.
Bournemouth: Top scorer Callum Wilson returns from a hamstring injury in place of Junior Stanislas, while Artur Boruc replaces Asmir Begovic in goal.
West Ham: Marko Arnautovic is left out of West Ham’s squad for the game at Bournemouth amid reports of a move to China and is replaced by Andy Carroll.
top of the table Lincoln have beaten Grimsby in an early kick off
Happy Soccer Saturday to Kate.
Disappointed with no prediction from you two numpties

Great to see young Jack Clarke in the starting eleven again.

Great news, UWS.
Lindeloff with a header... shame
Will do, mate.
The Bees take the lead at the New York Stadium. You two must be nearby.
