New Year's Day Footer!
Happy New Year to all of you in LOB land! Here's to a very successful 2019 for all of our clubs. It all starts today, as is tradition, with a full slate of the good stuff. At 7:30am, it's a mid-table battle between Everton and Leicester. Goodison will be rocking with New Year's cheer. At 10am EST, we've got the usual slate of fixtures, including a London derby between Arsenal and lowly Fulham, as well as my beloved Leeds boys kicking off against QPR away. Finally, at 12:30pm, it's Cardiff v. Spurs. As at the weekend, I'm at the mother-in-laws house, so I may be posting sporadically. Enjoy!

Morning boys - I'm joining you a wee bit late as I had a lie in after the New Year's Eve revelry.
Everton and Leicester are at 0-0 going into the half-hour mark.
The teams on display at Goodison:
Everton: Pickford, Kenny, Keane, Zouma, Digne, André Gomes, Gueye, Walcott, Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin. Subs: Baines, Mina, Tosun, Bernard, Stekelenburg, Coleman, Davies.
Leicester: Schmeichel, Simpson, Maguire, Evans, Chilwell, Mendy, Choudhury, Ndidi, Ricardo Pereira, Vardy, Ghezzal. Subs: Soyuncu, Gray, Maddison, Albrighton, Ward, Okazaki, Fuchs.
Referee: Martin Atkinson (Yorkshire of the western variety)
Second half starting up now - still 0-0. Not much New Year's cheer for the punters at Goodison.
Leicester have started the half better than Everton. They work the ball forwards with a series of short, simple accurate passes.
GOAL! A goal at last, from Vardy. Leicester take the lead away from home.
Tom Davies, who was stripped and ready to come on, has been stood down by Silva. Bernard, a zippy attacking player, is now getting ready to come on. He replaces Gomes. So Everton may play with only one holding midfielder instead of two now.
Good morning and Happy New Year. Slept in late due to jet lag from getting up in the wee hours yesterday morning to fly back to Harlingen.
Jayne Mansfield on top at Mr/. Grimsby's house . Thought she would be hungover after the NYE festivities.
The Foxes looking the more likely to add to their lead here.
Happy New Year, MUR - good of you to join me this morning.
Genk Tosun is coming on for the disappointing Theo Walcott now.
Oh - Pickers made a meal of that shot by Ricardo.
How were the New Year's Eve celebrations?
Lots of cards dished out on New Year's Day. A clearance sale?

RIcharlison had a chance there but fluffed it.
Goodison as quiet as a morgue now.

We had a really good night out here in Petersburg, VA.
Foxes up to seventh pending tomorrow's matches while the Toffees continue to slide down the table.
Glad to hear that. We did the normal with snacks , drinks and the watching the New Year's Eve celebrations on the telly.
ManYoo old boy gives up a free kick and collects a yellow.
Sounds like a great family evening.
Toffees have a free kick thanks to hand ball on Chilly off a clearance from a spell of Toffees pressure. Poor free kick from Siggy headed away by the first man
Thanks. Yes it was.
Ten minutes left for the Toffees to pull something out of this one. They've been disappointing today.
A trio of stoppage time minutes as Tosun wins a Toffees corner. Kasper catches a header intended for Tosun
Nice run from Ben Chilwell but his final shot was tame.
A great way for the Foxes to make up for that shock home defeat to Evil Neil's lads.
Big appeals for handball on Michael Keane. Nothing doing.
A time wasting sub to irk UWS as Damari Gray is on for Vardy
Cenk Tosun now picks up a yellow, as it's getting a bit chippy out there.
It's over and boos from the home fans as the Foxes win 0-1 at Goodison.
I'm not surprised as it was a really poor outing from the Toffees' perspective.
