Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Afternoon Bob
As it stands, there is a bit of giant killing going on this afternoon.
Bournemouth 1 Chelski 0
Soton 0 Palace 1
Pool 1 Leicester 1
Spurs 0 Watford 1
Good Afternoon, Bob and Dave?
Missed last weekend and will also be a no show on Saturday. I have to go to my MathCounts competition
I will miss the big Championship humdinger!!
Some giant killing yesterday as well.
Hiya, Dave. Sorry you aren't getting some of this Polar Vortex action. I'm loving it. Just watching the mayhem from my easy chair.
Sorry, Dave. Wish you could be around for the big match.
Hi David... didn't think you were able to join
WHY COULDN'T UNITED HAVE WON!!
As it stands, Arsenal are the real winners after having beaten Cardiff yesterday.
I have conference period late today, so I figured I wouldn't miss out on all the fun
Why aren't Chelsea wearing their blue????
Have never seen Chelsea in this Citeh like kit. Are they are already thinking about the League Cup Final?
Oh - Kante was nearly in there but his touch let him down and Boruc smothered.
Nice speedy break by wee Ryan, but his control let him down
Glad to have your company... so glad I'm home
Weather report - it's currently -20F here in Fredonia. I'm going nowhere near outside.
I was thinking the same. Chelsea is trying to advertise their new Citeh in disguise kit
Great idea. You too should stay inside the warm house and enjoy the action.
Ex Chelsea player, Nathan Ake, tackles Azpi for a Chelsea corner
Willian on for Pedro and takes the corner. Headed away by the first man
Ake tackles for another Chelsea corner
An atrocious corner cleared for another
TWO NIL!!!
2-0! Cherries are in dreamland!
Chelski backfour were all over the place there, trying to claim offside. Brooks took full advantage.
GOAL !!!DAVID BROOKS PUTS THE CHERRIES TWO UP, MAKING SIDE SHOW BOB LOOK LIKE FOSTER BROOKS
Why are Chelski so bad this season?
New boy Higuain gets the hook in favor of Ollie Giroud.
Sideshow Bob gifted possession to Brooks and he then dummied Side Show Bob before scoring past the stranded Kepa
Ollie on for Higuain
LOL! Nice one, MUR!
Oh - Brooks was nearly in for a third!
Chelsea would have been better off with Bob defending instead of Side Show Bob. For that matter any of us could have defended better
Cheers, mate. You will appreciate the next quip as well.
Now David Brooks is down after a great past few minutes
This is all still great news for United fans. With Citeh losing yesterday, Chelski and Spurs losing today and Liverpool potentially dropping points, you lot are gaining some ground on the top six.
After having just lost David Brooks to injury, now Cook has gone down with a groin tweak. Not good for the Cherries.
Now Steve Cook is down
Leicester have a chance saved off the line... heard the commentary on Talksport as they were at the ground
Cherries players not happy with the ref's drop ball decision.
BUT... why couldn't we have won!!
Agreed. We have gained ground on everyone other than the Gunners this matchday
Wish we hadn't started so poorly. That was our main problem yesterday
A really Sarri Chelsea performance today
Rudiger fouls Josh King. Not sure why Andrew Surman was booked. Too lengthy a sermon?
THREE NIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't believe this... I am loving it!!!
GOAL! Josh King grabs a brace and the Cherries are 3-0 up!
GOAL !!!JOSH KING MAKES IT 3-0
Cherries fans now chanting "Who are you?" at the Chelski faithful. How long will Sarri last at this rate?
Really helping out in the GD department.
Nice pass played down the right as Junior Stanislaus got behind Side Show Bob and his pass was diverted into the upper 90 by Josh King
I think the cup results are the only reason Sarri is still in charge of Chelsea. He can only last so long.
Southampton tie it up vs Palace
Tongue N Cheek on for Kovacic
Great update. That's a crucial score in the battle to avoid the drop
A swarm of Hornets feasting on baked potatoes at the Wembley concession stand
Emmerson wins a corner off of Nat Clyne
Short corner and Brouc does well to save a close range header . Cleared for a corner
Surely, this one is done and dusted.
If Bournemouth score another, they would drop below Arsenal on GD!
United are now only five goals behind on goals
Both Liverpool and Spurs have had penalty shouts turned down.
On current form, United will easily leapfrog Chelski and probably Arsenal as well.
Matt told me there only about 29,000 at Wembley tonight...that must look awful
Chelsea fans leaving for the trip back to West London
Zaha gets two very quick yellow cards and off!!!
Got a yellow for some angry reaction and then another for a sarcastic clapping
That is a a terrible turnout for the third placed team
Why are NBC showing this match and not the one at Anfield
They showed Chelsea v Southampton instead of Newcastle v Man U...... must be a Chelsea man in charge
Poor form from Wilf.
Is Hair Bear headed to China? Is that a possibility or gossip?
16:29
RED CARD - Wilfried Zaha
Southampton 1-1 Crystal Palace
Wilfried Zaha reacts to a challenge from James-Ward Prowse and goes into the book. He doesn't like it so gives the ref a sarcastic clap and he's sent off for a second yellow for dissent.
Article Reactions
I would have preferred to watch the match from Anfield even though this has been an enjoyable second half.
People on the Beeb want Sari out and Lamps in
Willian looks a shadow of his former self these days.
willian with a desperate attempt well wide from a narrow angle,. A quintet of stoppage time minutes
Table as it stands
Liverpool 61 +41
City 56 +44
Spurs 51 +24
Chelsea 47 +18
Arsenal 47 +12
United 45 +13
Lamps would definitely be a popular choice at the Bridge
Eddie Howe brings on Charlie Daniels in place of Wee Ryan.
This weekend's matches of note
Spurs v Newcastle
Chelsea v Huddersfield
Leeds v Norwich
Sunday
Leicester v United
City vs Arsenal
Bob should call the engravers!
Oh - Stanislas was nearly in for a fourth goal!
oooh, almost a fourth for the Cherries...that would have moved Arsenal up
Ends 1-1 at St Marys
Other than the late Championship match, the best matches are on Sunday
Spurs have equalize..... the Returning Son with the goal
Ten minutes to get the winner
IT IS NUMBER FOUR FOR BOURNEMOUTH!!
Arsenal are fourth!!
GOAL! 4-0! Charlie Daniels fiddles his way to a fourth goal for the Cherries!

Are Spurs still in the Title Race if they get the winner?

Free kick taken short and a great cross was met with a great header by Charlie Daniels

Over to Anfield now with ten minutes remaining.
You know Liverpool will score the winner
Off to a snowy Anfield
ARSENAL IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
United two points back
Ricardo fouls Salah just outside the Foxes box.
Chelsea should sack Sari and bring back Jose!!
Into the wall by Salah then Mane offside.
Danny Sturridge on for Bobby F
If Spurs gets the winner... two points behind City and 7 behind Liverpool
LOL, Dave! Third spell means the third time is the charm for Chelsea and Jose? Would love that decision.
1996... Liverpool vs Chelsea... last time Chelsea lost by four goals... according to Lineker
Okazaki on for Damari Gray
WOW ! Didn't realize it had been that long. Shows how Sarri Chelsea played this evening
Goal at Wembley..... Spurs take the lead
Lorente
Stupid hand ball by Sturridge to end a promising Pool attack.
WOW! Spurs could overtake Citeh in the near futre
Now Spurs are two points behind City and 7 behind Liverpool
If Liverpool score a winner.... they will be champions
They would go second with a win on Saturday before City play on Sunday
Do we want a Citeh loss to the Gunners or a draw?
Vardy off as we enter stoppage time and replaced by Ihenacho.
Into stoppage time. A barber shop quartet of those minutes
two added minutes left of the four at Anfield
Spurs hold on to win
Late pressure by Pool, but the Foxes have cleared all passes into the box.
I don't think you can call the engravers quite yet but it would be a huge win for Liverpool if they could scramble a goal now.
Of course, United have to take on these Foxes on Sunday morning
Agreed. it wont be an easy match. The revers of the opening day fixture.
Mane got his head on that corner but it was wild and off target.
Late Pool corner out for another
The biggie is Leeds v. Norwich. Phew!
Klopp not klopping at this time.
All over at Anfield.... ends all square
Oh Why did UNITED WIN!!
Chilly booked for time wasting
Great result from Anfield
Lovely - a transfer deadline day special on NBC Sports tomorrow. I'm loving it.
Great chatting with everyone. Will be around this weekend. Have a great rest of the week.
CHEERS!
I will record that. Will be a great watch
A good midweek set of games... could have been brilliant with a win
Enjoy the rest of the week and good luck on Saturday Bob
I'll be back for United on Sunday
