A Sight for Sore Eyes
It was a hard slog over at work this week, so this morning couldn't have come sooner for me. I'm looking forward to putting my feet up and watching our favorites teams battle for points. First up - it's Manchester United at Craven Cottage to meet lowly Fulham. Then at 8am, it's the big one. Leeds travel to Boro to put their promotion train back on track after that disastrous defeat at home to Norwich last weekend. At 10am, we've got Liverpool v. Bournemouth and Huddersfield v. Arsenal. Then finally, if that isn't enough, there is a fairly duff one at 12:30 - Brighton v. Burnley. Join me for all the fun, eh?

This is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s 11th match as interim manager of Manchester United Football Club. So far during his astonishing reign, United have won nine games, and staged a late two-goal comeback in the other fixture played. It’s fair to say they’re on a roll; relegation haunted Fulham, who have lost four of their last five Premier League matches, have it all to do this lunchtime.
Good morning, mate . Up to join on rainy, chilly morning on what was a long week here as well. How have you been?
Hi guys
I am checking in for a bit
I have a houseful here. I will be here for our two United matches...I think
Ole resting players.... don't take Fulham lightly!
A win would take us into the top four
Here come the teams out at Bob and Kate's
Fulham XI: Rico, Odoi, Chambers, Mitrovic, Babel, Ream, Schurrle, Vietto, Le Marchand, Bryan, Seri.
Substitutes: Fabri, Sessegnon, Kebano, Cairney, Ayite, Christie,Zambo Anguissa.

Good morning, Dave. How have you been? Just one more week .
Don't like the back four!!
Teams out on the pitch now ready to kick off:
Fulham: Sergio Rico, Odoi, Le Marchand, Ream, Bryan, Chambers, Seri, Babel, Schurrle, Vietto, Mitrovic.
Subs: Ryan Sessegnon, Kebano, Cairney, Ayite, Christie, Zambo, Ramirez.
Manchester United: de Gea, Dalot, Smalling, Jones, Shaw, Herrera, Matic, Pogba, Mata, Lukaku, Martial.

We are off
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
COME ON MAN U
They're off from Bob and Kate's
COME ON UNITED!
One more week is right!
Free kick chance....cleared
Morning, chaps - I didn't see you come on there. Come on, you Red Devils!
Struth...Fulham should have scored on the break
The Cottagers break off a United corner through Schurrle Temple and thankfully his cross was volleyed wide by Vietto from close range
So, who have you got visiting, UWS?
I like James Maddison more... a United fan as a kid
Presidential thinking there
Don't call Me Schurrle crossed to Don't call me a goal scorer!
ANOTHER CHANCE
Smalling sucks
My niece(Lisa's daughter) is here for two weeks
Dick and Lina are here until tomorrow
United appear to be still back on the bus.
OH! Close range header from Mitrovic blocked and Schurrle Temple shoots the rebound over.
Again, I don't like the starting line up
Agreed. Other than the opening possession, a horrible start from United.
Jones heads out for throw in... why didn't he just let it go for a goal kick
Sounds like a lot of fun, mate. Enjoy.
In this Tale of two cities United need to be thinking about the match against the team from London instead of the team from Paris. Dickens
Jones, Smalling and Dalot all just sucked there!
What the hell is that on top of Smalling's head?
Of course, he used to play for Fulham
Unfortunately, it appears that ESPN+ have decided not to show the Boro v. Leeds match.
Agreed after looking at the lineups posted by Bob and Dave. Wish Lindelof was playing in place of Smalling
United break.... wrong pass by Martial
Wishing Leeds well at the Riverside m. Sorry that plus isn't showing it.
Finally going forward a bit
I have a question. With Citeh back on top, isn't Yours Truly top of the pops in the PPP?
Plus isn't showing it?
THAT SUCKS
United fans reminding Ryan Babbel that he once played for Liverpool and that he should be at the Tower of Babbel.
Agreed. It's the MOTD in the Championship. That doesn't make sense.
Matic down off a challenge from Schurrle Temple.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
POGBA WITH A GREAT HIT
YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
POGBA GIVES UNITED THE LEAD, BEATING THE KEEPER AT THE NEAR POST.
AND WE ARE FOURTH!
Definitely onside
What a strike from Pogs!
Somewhat against the run of play? Now Fulham have to figure out a Plan B. What a turnaround for Paul Pogba under OGS. He's like a new player.
That Shaw was great pressing by United and Herrera passed the ball wide left and a pass was karate chopped to Pogba , who beat Sergio Rico at the near post with a powerful shot.
Agreed, Bob. If OGS had been in charge since the start of the season then Pogba would probably be GBB.
So... now United have to score quite a few more please
Our GD is now equal to Arsenal but still seven behind Chelsea,
12 behind Spurs and BLOODY MILES behind City and Liverpool
And United would be top
London looking like South Texas with the Sunshine and South Texas looking like Blighty.
That's absolutely right, Dave. We would be running away with the lead.
My focus is now shifting up north. The Leeds starting XI for the match at the Riverside:
Casilla, Alioski, Jansson, Cooper (c), Ayling, Phillips, Klich, Harrison, Clarke, Roofe, Bamford
United fortunate that Sergio Rico appears to spend more time working on his hair than his goalkeeping as evidenced by the goal he conceded.
Looks like a strong lineup against Bamford's old mates. Boro will be reeling after that shock loss in Pulis's hometown on Tuesday.
COME ON LEEDS!MOT!
What a run this has been under Ole...what a shame about the Burnley match
Still all wins away from home... at the likes of Arsenal and Spurs to boot
Naughty by Vietto on Jones after he overran the ball.
Cheers, mate - after that debacle against Norwich last weekend, we need a bounce back.
It's been quite a run with United winning back pride and playing the United way.
WAY HAY! UNITED KARATE CHOP THEIR WAY TO GOING TWO UP .
GOAL! Martial makes it 0-2! Wow!
YES!!!
TWO NIL!!
MARTIAL!!
Terrible by Matic gives Fulham a chance
The Cottagers caught on the break as Mitrovic was tackled and a solo run featuring several kaate chops culminated in leaving Odoi and the Merchant in his wake as he scored with a well placed finish past Sergio Rico.
Again... we need some more!
A Python reference! The Life of Bryan is currently a life of a relegation battle and bookings.
BOOM BOOM!
This time United offside by a Chunk.
This Good Will at Old Trafford is going to take some testing in the next few weeks
PSG in the Champions League
Chelsea in the FA Cup
Liverpool in the League
Could our season keep going or could we be out of the lot?
Boom boom, indeed, MUR.
Were Norwich deserving of their win last week?
Thanks, Bob and agreed with Dave 1005. Well stated.
We're facing a couple of old friends at the Riverside this morning. Our Academy kid Jonny Howson is in their starting XI, while Adam Clayton is on the bench. That should add some extra interest.
Yes they were. They really dominated at ER and looked a Prem team.
It just feels as if you've got your club back after a succession of managers who didn't play in the United play.
Yeah - we just weren't at it last week. Norwich were good.
Added to that, Bamford facing his old mates. Both teams reeling from bad losses. Boro embarrassed in Newport, which is Pulis's hometown.A horrible homecoming!
That's well stated about us. Sort of the same with your United as well.
Kick off time at the Riverside! Come on, you Leeds!
The match vs PSG is on TNT. Hope it's dynamite!
Fulham were all over United to start... if they score a goal... it would still be a game
Pun Meister is back
Puns on Air conditioners.... I'm not a big fan
We are underway at the Riverside Stadium!
When I was on google I told Serie to have the Cottagers shoot over with a long range effort.
Great pass to Herrera.. Pogba couldn't make anything from it
Why are they showing the Champions League on TNT. What happened to Fox?
Come on United.... the other one
Air Conditioners? Hadn't thought of them . A tad too chilly to run it today.
Leeds win a free kick in a good crossing position early doors.
TNT has been showing the CL this season. They must have been the highest bidder and FOX must have come to the end of their contract.
Ezgjan Alisoki delivers, but his free-kick is too long and Darren Randolph collects.
Where have I been? Oh yeah - at work during the weekday afternoons. How is the coverage on TNT?
It's also on Bleacher Report... at a cost of course
How are you following Bob?
Tim Ream and Herrera down after Herrera lost his footing and slid into the American defender. Free kick United.
Patrick Bamford does well to break into the Boro penalty area and he wins Leeds a corner. Sounds like we've had a bright start at the Riverside.
Useless free kick by Herrera
Atrocious free kick
I'm following the text updates on leedsunited.com.
Smalling down off a challenge from Chambers, who is booked for a late challenge.
I think that's your normal routine when LUFC matches are not on Plus. Is that correct, mate?
Kemar does really well to drive forward, Mateusz Klich is then found on the edge of the box, he fires a first time effort just wide, but he had more time than he thought.
That's right - it's a nice feature on the home website.
Attack the ball Lukaku
Oh - I thought The Chunk might have thrown himself at the ball when it bobbled up there from Martial's shot.
A shot is karate chopped for a United corner after a Mata of a pass and a tackle won.
Good effort by Jones
Oh - even Phil Jones is having a go now, so good is the mood in the United camp.
OH! Nearly a rare goal for Jones , who had a shot tipped over by Sergio Rico.
Appears to be quite breezy at Bob and Kate's was here yesterday and the day before.
Jones with another pop at goal and much further over this team as his shot lands in Row G
Matic booked for naughty challenges at the Tower of Babbel.
Cottagers free kick headed away by Smalling then De Gea with a comfortable save from a long range effort from Chambers
It's been all Leeds attacking in the first 15 minutes. Good sign.
Into stoppage time. A pair of those minutes
Keep it up Leeds. Time for a goal to cap that off.
First chance for Boro. George Saville strikes an effort from the edge of the box, forcing Kiko Casilla into a good save.
De Gea misses a cross, but thankfully , Mitrovic did too and United cleared. It's halftime with United two up.
That's it for the half at Bob and Kate's
So far so good
I want more!
A great half for United ends. They troop in 0-2 up and cruising right now. Half way there to an 11th win under OGS.
Alioski fires off target from distance.
Luke Ayling plays a neat one-two with Kemar Roofe, before firing over.
Casilla makes a superb save to deny a Saville effort which was destined for the bottom corner. The Spaniard is already earning his transfer fee.
We need to get young Jack Clarke in the match!
It's nice to see us back on top where we belong, albeit just for kicking off. We're a point better than Norwich in second. Need a win though. Come on!
Big chance for the home side, Ryan Shotton's cross from the right is met by Flint, but he heads wide. Boro have seemed to be turning the screw in the past few minutes. We need to get the momentum back.
Another Boro chance, George Friend's cross is this time met by Shotton, but he scuffs the chance wide. Phew!
Leeds win a corner in front of the traveling support.
Boro are able to clear at two attempts from the corner.
Lewis Wing fires just wide from 25 yards. Phew!
You will definitely need help from the Tractor Boys in the Old Farm Derby. That will be a tough ask, so a good result at the Riverside is crucial
United about to kick us off again in the second half at Craven Cottage.
The second half is underway from Bob and Kate's
Absolutely, MUR - cheers!
Off we go at Bob and Kate's
Come on Man U
Come on Man U
Come on Man U
United must score first
Few chances from United!
Cottagers block two United shots early in the second half.
Seems like a cagey match at the Riverside.
Harrison does really well, he plays Bamford into the penalty area and he strikes first time, but he fires wide. Patrick seems to be the main target today, with Kemar playing deeper in the hole.
Foot off the gas for United early doors?
Seems like both teams left their shooting boots at the training ground.
An Alioksi cross deflects safely into the arms of Randolph.
Chris Christie on for Schurrle Temple as Claudio makes his first change.Sounds like a defensive move.
Boro have a free kick now near the left corner flag. Mark em up!
Seems that way for our United, Bob.
Bamford clears from the free kick - he seems up for this return to the Riverside today.
Definitely in the City corner for tomorrow's match
This morning.... the next goal is crucial
UWS will want more goals from United, for sure.
Ayling wins a free kick now out wide right. Ali will float one in.
United could use more goals and in the Citeh corner tomorrow as I will be a fortnight after that
Great pass by Pogba ... Martial offside
The free kick is cleared out. Two sides evenly matched it seems as the first half starts to wind down.
Leeds win a free kick of an Ayling challenge from Obi Wan . Bob will not be shocked by that
In the life of Bryan, he wins a Cottagers corner.
Wouldn't it be lovely if the 3 o'clockers all start and both our Uniteds had 3 points in the bag
United counter off the corner, but a pass from Pogba is cleared.
That would be fantastic, Dave
Pogba wins a free kick off an illegal challenge from Chris Christie. He's familiar with that
Into stoppage time at the Riverside.
I would love that, mate.
I am pleased that the first leg of the PSG tie is at home
United seem to do better playing away from hime in the second leg
If they blow it at home, the still can get something away
HT 0-0
Leeds back on top
It's 0-0 at the half at the Riverside. Satisfied, mate?
Half-time: Both sides have had their chances but things are even steven at the interval. We'll need goals in the second half.
Thunderbolt by Herrera.... saved
Rocket of a shot from Herrera straight to compatriot, Sergio Rico as all he can do is force it away
Great run by Lukaku... not a good pass...not a good move by Mata... BUT PENALTY!!
Def pen
PENALTY UNITED. THE CHNK WENT ON A SOLO RUN , GOING PAST THE MARKET AND CHAMBERS. HE PASSED TO HERRERA , WHO WAS PUSHED IN THE BOX AT THE MARKET PLACE.
Pogba to take... please bury it... YES!
THREE NIL!
Keeper went the right way
GOAL !!! POGBA WITH HIS SECOND AS HE PUTS UNITED THREE UP WITH A WELL PLACED PENALTY
GET A FOURTH, UNITED!
Chris Christie forces a corner off a karate chop challenge.
AND A FIFTH
Long range effort from Chambers was an easy save for De Gea.
Sanchez on for Martial
Alexis is karate chopped on to the pitch. That's Sanchez, not Sayle.
Alexis playing like Sayle with two poor passes.
Still need five more to catch up Chelsea on GD... of course...we all hope Chelsea's go down tomorrow
What if...United beat Chelsea, City and Liverpool and PSG?
Either that or a five goal swing. Perhaps someone can come off the bench in chip in with four for United.
We need a Lukaku goal
Pogba coming off for McTom
De Gea with a comfortable save from a Mitrovic header off a cross from Lou Christie.
Job done as McTomain is n for Pogba.
Sanchez with a chance...saved...BURY THAT!!!
Sergio Rico with a great close range save from Alexis off a poor back header at the Market Place.
Herrera should have had a pop...went the wrong way
McTom with a glancing header just over
McTomain heads inches over off a cross from Alexis.
Phew.... Ex Pool man misses from inches
OH!!! The Life of Bryan a life of missed opportunities as the Tower of Babbel with comical finishing off the post from an inches out then off his shins and out of play
Bugger...one nil Boro
That comedy from the Tower of Babbel results in being replaced by Tom Cairney
Early second half goal
Just like at West Brom
BUGGER! Sorry, Bob. Just a couple of minutes into the second half.COME ON LEEDS!
Hate it... why are such big games schedule for FA Cup weekends?
Bugger! I'm barely back in my seat with a bagel at my side. We'll need a quick response.
Come on Sanchez...better cross than that!!
Scored by Lewis Wing and assisted by George Friend, who was not a friend to Leeds.
A day in the life of Bryan as he's replaced by Sess on the final roll of the dice from Claudio.
That Shaw was an atrocious cross.
Again, these are the two teams that were playing each other back in 2002 at Old Trafford
United won 3-0... hat-trick by Ruud Van Nistelroy... one was getting the ball on the halfway line and dribbling all the way and scoring...BUT... it was the last Premier League match that featured NO SUBSTITUTIONS!!
Oh, how I wish for those days
Alexis fouled by Chris Christie, who is used to illegal challenges.
It was 2003 not 2002
Great anoraking, Dave. Not Sure if there will ever be a Prem match again without any substitutions.
