It's Saturday Again - Hurrah!
It's been a long weekend of frigid temperatures and lots of the white stuff here in Fredonai. So, the weekend is a tonic and I'm looking forward to watching some of the good stuff with you this morning. The best Premiership matches are tomorrow but the big one for me is today. Spurs v. Newcastle and Chelsea v. Hudders are merely a warm up for the one I'm waiting for with baited breath - Leeds v. Norwich, our biggest match of the season so far. Join me for all the action here on the LOB, eh?

This is a key one for both sides. For Spurs, it's a must win if they're to keep up with the title race. But Newcastle have won their last two, including that shocker at the Etihad.
Spurs stroke it around hither and yon. Waiting for a gap to develop. But no gap develops.
Oh - Lucas Moura should have scored. Great little ball in to him and he got the header all wrong. Big miss!
Llorente on the bench is thinking, "I'd have scored that one!"
Oh - Lamella hits the woodwork with a header! And Moura nods over again. Loads of big chances for Spurs.
Oh - big chance now for Newcastle, with Perez and Rondon having bites at the cherry. Blocked out by Eriksen.
Good morning, Bob. I set the Strawberry Alarm clock, but overslept. Has it been a decent match?
Back with so much needed coffee to enjoy the pleasure of your company.
OH!!! A superb athletic save by Dubravka from Cissy off a corner.
Morning, MUR - great to have you with me this morning. How has your week been?
It's been a decent week. Took Friday off as usual and had a wee bit extra kip today. Other than the snow and cold how about you and Kate?
Fred wants to know if a Leeds win calls for a celebration with a gulp of Canary. I doubt it.
Ayoze fouls Vertonghen just outside the box with a striker's challenge. Free kick cleared and 0-0 at the half.
0-0 at the interval, with Spurs just edging it for chances. I'm off to make my brekkies.
Back with a bagel and cuppa for the second half now.
Newcastle would be well happy with this draw so far but Potch and co need a win. We're underway again.
Second half underway from Wembley
Welcome back and a great choice of brekkies. Yours Truly typing and my partner in crime sleeping on the magic couch after his brekkies.
Neither side has made any changes.
Moura and Son knocking on the door but Newcastle defend with some tenacity.
Number One Son has a shot blocked by Yeltsin for a Spuds corner.
Oh - Davison Sanchez just wide with a header from the corner.
Davinson Sanchez with a free header off the corner and it's headed wide
Peter Dreary is crying out for a bit of Llorente. It would seem logical with HK out for injury.
Oh - Rondon hits the woodwork with a terrific header!
OH!!! A rare Toon attack and a header has Runned off the post. Nearly the lead against the run of play. Great cross by former Spur, Yeltsin
Nice use of the word Dreary. Great form, mate.
Just a reminder that Lamps lads drew 0-0 at Ridsdale's house yesterday. A decent result?
Another spell of Toon pressure and a long range effort from Matt Ritchie easily saved by Lloris.
The Llorente Express asking Mo PO assistant, Jesus Perez, for fare for a train ticket on to the pitch.
Cheers, mate - that's all your work.
Potch has seen enough - Llorente will replace Moura.
WOW! That was quick and he shows his ticket as he's on for Lucas Mora.
Cheers. You're welcome to use that word any time.
Here's what this means to Spurs. If things stay the same, they'd be on 55 points, a point behind Citeh. If they won, they'd be on 57, a point ahead of Citeh in second ahead of their match with Arsenal tomorrow.
This sure is a key match for the Spurs. A draw would be two points dropped for sure.
If you would like to escape the cold then this is the perfect week to visit. We're getting five days of Indian Summer between tomorrow and Thursday with highs in the low to mid 80s each of those days.
Oh - Sher hooks one off the line. Erickson was already celebrating!
I wish I could, mate. It's been unbearable here this week.
OH!!!A header from Eriksen is off the line by Sony and Schaar. Then Yeltsin booked for a foul just outside the Toon box.
OH!!!! A long range effort from Ayoze headed for the upper 90, superbly turned around by Lloris.
It's going to be our warmest spell since the first week of November and more like April then early February. Phil Collins says No Jacket Required.if you or any of the LOB family visits.
Oh dear - Llorente lost the ball in the air and blows the header. Does he need a visor?
Great cross by Eriksen headed high and wide by Llorente with a free header as he had got behind the Toon defense.
To be fair, it's supposed to warm up this next week. We need it.
LOL! He will need more than that if he can't bury those.
Glad to hear that. You definitely do.Hopefully a thaw doesn't lead to any sort of flooding.
Danny Rose on for Lamela. I guess that adds more width to get in extra crosses.
Cissy booed Toon fans due to being a former Toon player, wins a corner
OH!!! Another goal line clearance off a corner as shot from Eriksen deflects off of Llorente ans is cleared off the line
GOAL !!!!!NUMBER ONE SON GIVES THE SPUDS THE LEAD
GOAL! Son breaks the deadline in this crucial match for Spurs!
It was a real howler by the normally reliable Dubravka in the Toon goal. The Toon had made a substitution and off the throw, several short Spuds passes culminated in a long ball from Toby chested down by Llorente then a shot from Number One Son just outside the D was fumbled in by Dubravka.
Rafa springs to action, yanking off Matt Ritchie and sticking on the new boy from Monaco
The final roll of the dice from Raffa and new signing , Barreca, on loan from Monaco, on for Matt Ritchie for a Toon debut
OH!!!! Close range block by Dubravka from Number One Son , then the rebound is shot wide by Llorente/.
Goalscorer Son comes off to a nice ovation.
Mo Po shutting up shop as Eric Dier is on for Number One Son, who scored thanks to some real dire keeping.
A shot deflects off of Lascelles for a late Spuds corner.
A barber shop quartet of stoppage time minutes as sung by our Bob.
A bit naughty by Ayoze on Danny Rose. A bit of a thorny challenge.
This will be a priceless win for Spurs.
Agreed and now in second place, just four points behind Liverpool
It's over and Spurs win it late 1-0 after being frustrated most of the match
That's that, then. Newcastle will be crushed. They were minutes away from a good draw. One howler from Dubravka and it was all over.
I'm off to the bog before the 10 o'clockers.
Next, is Chelsea vs the rock bottom Terriers . Off for walkies with Sparky on a foggy, but mild morning
Back for the 10am kickoffs. Enjoy your walkies, mate!
Chelsea have the opportunity to leapfrog over Arsenal into fourth again ahead of their match tomorrow morning.

The Terriers get us going at the Bridge. This is a must-win for the Blues.
Cheers. it was a good walk on a foggy , but comfortable feeling morning.
New boy Higuain will be desperate to get off the mark for his new club today. They can't really afford another Morata style disaster.
NBC showed a graphic where the Terriers haven't won a top flight match vs Chelsea since the mid 50s, but a got a must needed draw at SB at the end of last season that insured their survival.
Oh - Ross Barkley tries one from distance. Not too far away. A sighting at goal.

Who is the new Huddersfield manager now?
Pass from Willian across the box as he was pressured by Lowe.
Higuain is looking really static so far - might take him a while to bed in.
He is Jan Siebert, from the Klopp system in the Dortmund reserves. Same system that produced Wagner and the current Canaries boss.Second youngest manager in the top foru divisions, just ten days older than Joey BArton, in charge of Fleetwood MAc
Ruben Neves scores a penalty, sending Jordan Pickford the wrong way, to give Wolves an early advantage at Goodison Park. The penalty was awarded when Matt Doherty cut into the penalty area and was brought down.

Thanks - for some reason I thought that Wagner was still there.
Blackburn Rovers go 2-0 up against Brentford at Griffin Park as Danny Graham leaps to head home their second.
Wolves looking like a possible EL team next season
Wagner left by mutual consent, which was his get out of jail free card to go to a bigger club
Agreed about Higuain. He lacks match sharpness and may be a tad overweight. I know Sarri was keen on him, but hard to be overweight and play in the Prem nowadays.
Did he order lots of empanadas and chrorizo online that were shipped to him?
Nice interplay there for the Blues, with Higuain holding up the ball and Hazard profiting.
Corner side footed and snatched over by Thelma N Luiz, or so he played like in midweek.

Great corner from Willian, but his compatriot, Thelma N Luiz heads wide.
UWS will be further displeased as Luton take the lead on the road as they tame the Shrews.
Burnley, who haven’t had a penalty in their past 67 Premier League matches, are denied what looks a clear one when Ashley Barnes is brought down by Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy.
What does UWS have against Luton Airport?
They're top of L1 and a loss by the Hatters is a good result for second placed Pompey
The penalty denial could not have happened to a more deserving player.
Huddersfield just trying to hang on now, as the Blues pile forward.
Wasall ties it up vs Rochdale while Bristol Rovers two up at Southend on Sea , which is not idle gossip.
Ah - that makes sense.
Three L2 matches cancelled and just about every non league match postponed due to the weather.
Southend pull on back vs Bristol Rovers to make it 1-2. Still not idle gossip.
Another Terriers injury, which they cannot afford. Diakabe down
Diakhaby seems to be okay to continue.
Even better news out of the Hawthorns: Jay Rodriguez scores a scruffy goal to make it all square at one apiece between West Brom and Middlesbrough.
Penalty to Chelski!
PENALTY CHELSEA AS KACHUNGA IS CALLED FOR A TRIP ON AZPI, WHO MADE A SOLO RUN. LOOKED CLUMSY AT BEST

The Argentinian would love a hat-trick now. So would Hazard.
Evil Blades two up vs Bolton while Leo Dendoncker scores to give Wolves a 1-3 lead at Goodison.
