Lakenheath Old Boys
We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Afternoon, everyone! Leicester and Aston Villa used to be League Cup specialists. Villa won it twice in three years between 1994 and 1996, whereupon the Foxes took over and reached three finals in four seasons from 1997 to 2000, winning the first and last. Today, they meet each other in the semi-final of the League Cup, with the promise of a Wembley pay-day against Citeh.
Team news out of Filbert Street tonight:

Teams coming out at Filbert Street now.
It looks to be a filthy night in the Midlands tonight. Should make the play a bit lively.
Villa to get us underway now.
It's the 100th meeting between the two sides tonight.
Leicester playing it about on this zippy pitch to great effect now. They look a quality side.
All of Leicester’s attacking, such as there has been, has been down their left. It has largely consisted over overhitting/running the ball into touch for goal kicks.
Pereira cuts inside but his pass further infield is straight to Douglas Luiz, whose clearance is rubbish and returned with interest, leading to Perez having a shot that takes a slight deflection and zips not much beyond the far post.
Jonny Evans has a headed chance there from the free kick but nods it wide.
Bad giveaway there to Vardy who turns and shoots sharpish. Decent save with his legs by Nyland.
Oh - Vardy was through there but Nyland did so well.
Oh - Vardy bought a free kick off Mings there and Maddison whipped in the free kick from an acute angle. Just wide.
Space on the left of the penalty area for Chilwell, after the ball is worked well from right to left, but Mings gets to the near post to cut out the pull-back.
GOAL! Against the run of play Gilbert scores for the Villains! What drama!
Nice break there from Villa and El Ghazi put it on a sixpence for Gilbert.
0-1 Villa!
Brog seems to be reassessing his match plan on the touchline.
That really is a spectacularly undeserved goal. Leicester have settled straight back in to their previous rhythm, of completely dominating without quite nailing their delivery into the penalty area.
El Ghazi into the book for a chop on Thielemans.
Now it's Vardy into the book - getting a bit chippy.
Oh - off the bar from Konsa from Grealish's ball in. Villa nearly 0-2 up!
Into one minute of stoppage time now.
Maddison tries a pop and Mings blocks it out for a corner. One last chance for the Foxes in this half.
Evans meets the corner but directs it wide. And that's half time. Villa have a surprise 0-1 lead.
I'm off home to enjoy the rest of it.
In the end, I was pulled away from the match in the second half. It appears that supersub Kelechi Ihenacho scored late on to rescue the tie for Leicester. All to play next week.
