It's going well, thank you for asking. How about you and Kate?

8:41 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The main talking point is that the Hammers are about to become Moyes Boyz! Davey has supposedly signed an 18 month contract rather than the six month care taker as he did last time. I would imagine Johnno will be feeling skeptical.

8:42 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Due to some unusual scheduling, the Championship , L1, and L2 have a full schedule today instead of yesterday

8:44 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

As you mentioned on the text, it looks as if Moyes is about to take over at West Ham. Not a great move for the long term but I do think that West Ham will stay up this season. They've got enough quality to survive, IMHO.

8:44 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

You're right - an odd schedule of the Football League matches this weekend. But it's all to play for us in the Championship starting at 10am. I'm hoping that we can extend out lead over the trailing pack.

8:49 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Christian Pulisic has a hammy injury that keeps him out of action today.

8:51 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Just a reminder that it's a top two showdown at the Hawthorns on NYD. Kickoff at 12:15 PM on Plus. Sounds mouth watering

8:53 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

In the SPL, Rangers lead 1-2 at Celtic midway through the second half. That would leave Rangers two points behind Celtic heading into a three and a half week Winter Break

8:58 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The first match is repeat of the last EL Final. Both clubs have changed managers since then. Now managed by club legends that played for them

8:59 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

They're off from the EM

9:00 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

We're all set to go in the London Derby then....

9:00 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Will Steve and Mike be meeting at the Lucky Bar to watch their favorite teams? It might be too early in the morning.

9:02 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Arsenal with the early attacking prowess through Aubama.

9:03 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

That might be a bit much for the early kick-off. Let's hope that those two friends can keep it cordial.

9:03 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Tomori with a dumb foul on Reiss Nelson midway between the box and the corner flag

9:03 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Reiss Nelson beats Tomori for speed again down the right and wins a corner. Arteta seems to have targeted that match up.

9:05 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Sideshow Bob volleys wide from the corner against his former club

9:05 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Agreed., Bob. They probably will have a friendly discussion after the match. Wonder who will end up having to buy drinks.

9:06 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The Beaker wins what looks a cheap free kick.

9:08 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Harmless free kick from Sideshow Bob straight to the Chelsea Kepa. Should have gone more toward the side

9:09 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

That was a really dumb foul by Hair Bear 2.0 on Willian just outside the Gunners box. Booked for stupidity as much as anything else

9:10 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Willian plays the free kick back short and Jay Leno catches a shot " Mounted" at him at the second attempt

9:11 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The Gunners win a corner off of Rudiger.

9:12 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Some pancakes courtesy of Kate's dad have arrived.

9:12 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

GOAL !!! WHO ELSE? AUBAMA HEADS THE GUNNERS INTO THE LEAD OFF THE CORNER WITH A FREE HEADER IN THE SIX YARD BOX

9:13 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

News out of Hertha Berlin is that Salamon Kalou is likely to join the Gunners next month in a swap for Granit Xhaka.

9:13 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Gooner will be celebrating that goal. Sloppy defending from the Chelski lads. Frank won't be happy about that.

9:14 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

A great corner was headed on by what looked like Kolasinac and a wide open Aubama headed past the stranded Chelsea Kepa

9:15 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Good finish!

9:15 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

That's some interesting news,Bob. I know Xkha Khan was singing a goodbye tune, but isn't Kalou a bit long in the tooth?

9:16 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Agreed. Dancing in the streets of Alex

9:16 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Talking about dancing. I was reading La Cazette and read that one of their strikers is not exactly fleet of foot.

9:17 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

While reading the same article due to not being fleet of foot. Arteta is frustrated that one of their strikers takes too long to shoot for that reason

9:18 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

How are the flapjacks, mate?

9:18 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Callum Chambers down, holding his head. Will he need to be substituted?

9:19 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Arteta asked for aggression from his Arsenal side and it is a case of so far so good. They’re on the front foot. Chelsea are wilting.

9:20 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Brilliant, mate - thanks.

9:20 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The Gooner will not be pleased to hear Clyde stating that Mustafi looks the most likely to replace Chambers. I'm sure he would love to see Mustafi shipped off in January along with the Beaker

9:21 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Looks like Chambers will need to come off. Otherwise, it's all been going swimmingly for the Gunners.

9:21 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

I was thinking the same. This is the most committed Gunners side I've seen in a while.

9:22 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Gooner is definitely not a Mustafi fan. He's set to replace Chambers.

9:22 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The latest Gunners transfer new is from the Streets of Alex. Steve is on the phone with Mike asking for Sideshow Bob to be transferred back to Chelsea. Your thoughts>??

9:23 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

They're definitely playing for the new gaffer.

9:23 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

There may not be cursing in the Streets of Alex,. but definite grumbling .

9:24 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

I'm doing scouting duty as United visit the EM on NYD

9:26 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Frankie goes to Hollywood and Jody discussing what's gone wrong this match. So far the Gunners have won the battle of commitment.

9:27 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Maitland - Niles is "Mounted " down and it's a booking for the Chelsea player

9:30 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Then Kante booked for grabbing down Torreira

9:30 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Lamps is about to make a tactical change. Jorginho about to come on to combat the Gunners committed approach. Who will come off?

9:32 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Rudiger booked for a foul on Torreiira.

9:33 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Jorginho on for Emmerson, which will help plug up the middle of the pitch and ocvcover any gaps there.

9:34 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

back from a short, but efficient trip to the bog. Yours Truly not affected by the Nocito curse

9:38 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Rangers have win 1-2 at Celtic Park in an Old Firm Derby and narrowed Celtic's lead at the top to two points as they begin a three and a half week Winter Break.

9:42 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Five minutes of stoppage time. I know there were a couple of injuries , but didn't expect this much time

9:45 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

I'm back after brekkies - it was loverly.

9:47 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Glad you're filled up ahead of the Championship matches

9:48 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

The Gunners one up at the half primarily due to their fantastic start. Since then it's been sort of cagey.

9:50 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Gooner will be delighted with that first half display as Arsenal troop off to the dressing room 1-0 up through that Aubama goal.

9:52 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

Clearly, Marcelo has decided to rest Patrick Bamford during this busy holiday fixture season.

9:55 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

No coverage of the match this morning - they're showing the Huddersfield instead - so I'm monitoring the match on the LUFC website.

10:01 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

We're underway at St. Andrews - come on, you Leeds boys!

10:04 AM

Kai heads away the free kick for a corner.

10:14 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

From a Brum corner, Gary Gardner's effort is blocked.

10:17 AM
Blogger The Blue Devil said...

10:19 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

10:20 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Meanwhile, A pair of Chelsea players are down

10:20 AM

10:29 AM
Blogger manunitedrules said...

Stevenage ties it up at Argyle Sweater and are now off the foot of the table ahead of Morecambe and None Too Wise on goal difference. That's important as only one club will be relegated from the Football League this season

Tyler Roberts on for Eddie now. I probably would have stuck on another defender. We could really use someone like Adam Forshaw now.
