A Very Busy Tuesday Evening
As the snow is falling outside my office window, I'm settling in to follow this afternoon's footie action. We've got a full slate of Champions League and Championship fixtures. In the CL, Liverpool are currently leading 0-2 away to Salzburg. At 3pm, Chelski take on Lille.
In the Championship, my eyes will be firmly affixed on Elland Road, where my beloved Leeds United host Hull City on sacred turf. We've won six on the trot now, so I'm hoping for another big win that will take us to the top of the league again.
Come on, you Whites! MOT!

Sadly, the match at Elland Road is not on the Plus today. They're showing PNE, currently 7th, against Fulham, currently 3rd. I'll take a draw in that one.
The starting side for the Leeds tonight:
Kiko, Ayling, White, Berardi, Stu Dallas, Kal, Klich, Pablo, Harrison, Helder, Patrick.
One change - Kal back from suspension, with Ali dropping to the bench.
We're underway in this afternoon's action. My Leeds boys are attacking the Kop End. Come on, you Whites!
Liverpool have wrapped up a 0-2 win at Salzburg. Napoli have also won big - 4-0 - over Genk.
Millwall have gone 0-1 up on Bristol City. Good one for us.
Half way through the first half and no real chances for us (or for Hull, for that matter) at Elland Road. Come on!
Phew! From a corner Tom Eaves heads just wide into the side netting. Close call there.
The match is starting to get a bit more lively. Helder wins a corner.
Oh - Berardi flicks a header into the side netting at the near post. Nearly!
Oh - Helder delivers a lovely cross but Patrick heads just wide. He must start putting those chances away!
Another corner chance now - come on; this one needs to go in!
Oh - Helder volleys just wide from the corner!
Oh - Pablo weaves his way into the box but fires a curling shot just off target.
PNE have taken the lead over Fulham. If someone has to win that one, PNE would be more preferable. However, I'd like to see the Cottagers get one back.
Half-time - All square at the break at Elland Road. We'll need goals in the second half.
We're back underway at Elland Road and across the UK in the second half.
Chelsea are currently 2-0 up through goals from Tammy Abraham and Cesar Azpilicueta.
Fifty minutes in now - we need a goal!
Stoke are now 2-0 up over Luton - a game of little consequence to us.
Pablo has a go at scoring directly from a corner. Not sure that's what in order right now.
Kal Phillips is just back from suspension and has picked up another yellow card. That's one aspect of his game that needs working on.
Close call for us - Kiko parries a shot and it rebounds back into his arms.
Oh - Patrick comes close now. He controls a pass and hits it first time - the effort is blocked out superbly.
First substitution in the 69th minute - Alioski on for Harrison.
Forest have taken the lead against Boro.
Oh - Helder has it in the net but is rolled offside.
YESSSSSS!!!!!!!
Helder's cross is directed in by Jordy De Wijs! 1-0 Whites!
Inside the last ten minutes now - hang on, lads!
Ben White has picked up a yellow card now. Hang on, boys!
Corner to Hull now - hang on, boys!
Wow! Dramatic clearance off the line by Kiko and Patrick there. Phew!
And then....
YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
Supersub Gianni Alioski scores to give us some breathing room! 2-0!
Into stoppage time now. We're ten points up on third place Fulham and a whopping 14 points up on Not a Big Club in 7th.
