We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Due to the on-going war in Ukraine, this match has been moved to Wroclaw, Poland.

The other game in Group C today is North Macedonia v Italy. Both sides are on 3 points, but the Macedonians have played one more.
Ukraine have barely had a kick. England’s shape is interesting, with Chilwell playing very high on the left and Walker sometimes tucking in as a third centre-back. The days of neat, symmetrical formations are long gone.
Oh - big chance there. Chilly played a lovely cross over but Saka got his touch all wrong.
Oh - Ukraine were through but flagged offside.
Well that’s made life interesting. Arsenal's Zinchenko with a neat finish to put Ukraine 1-0 up.
Full-time: An underwhelming draw for England, though they are still on course to qualify for Euro 2024. Next up is a friendly against the Auld Enemy in mid-week.
