Welcome to the New Premier League Season!
It's the start of that long and winding road again, gents. Sadly, my beloved Leeds United won't be included this season, but there will still be plenty of thrills and spills without us around. I'll be in and out of this afternoon's opener between Burnley and Citeh, but I thought I'd get this thread started for those who are around. Let's get started!

Afternoon, gentlemen. The twins have gone down, so I’m settling in to follow the beginning of the season festivities.
The teams on display at Turf Moor this afternoon:
Burnley: Trafford, Roberts, O’Shea, Al Dakhil, Beyer, Koleosho, Berge, Cullen, Vitinho, Amdouni, Foster.
Subs: Redmond, Bruun Larsen, Cork, Gudmundsson, Brownhill, Benson, Ekdal, Zaroury, Muric.
Manchester City: Ederson, Walker, Akanji, Ake, Lewis, De Bruyne, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Alvarez, Foden, Haaland.
Subs: Phillips, Kovacic, Grealish, Laporte, Ortega, Gomez, Gvardiol, Palmer, McAtee.
Referee: Craig Pawson (South Yorkshire).
I’ve picked for the first hat-trick and top scorer (who hasn’t?) but Rodri for first goal and Connor Roberts for first red card.
Five players make their Burnley debut tonight. Norway midfielder Sander Berge, Switzerland striker Zeki Amdouni, young Italian winger Luca Koleosho, Republic of Ireland defender Dara O’Shea and, formerly of City, goalkeeper James Trafford. Two other new signings in Nathan Redmond and Jacob Bruun Larsen are on the bench.
Teams in the tunnel now....
And just like that, Erling Haaland has started his account for the season - so easy. 0-1 Citeh!
Burnley have been decent since the early goal.
Boom! Haaland again with a clinical finish. 0-2!
Well, that first half was just about perfect for Citeh apart from the KDB injury.
Citeh predictably took their foot off the gas in the second half, adding a third through Rodri. They’ve laid a marker down, especially Haaland with his brace.
