Friday Afternoon at Elland Road!
TGIF, LOBers! I'm settling in to follow my beloved Leeds United's third match in the Championship. I'll be honest, it's been a brutal week for the club. We followed a miserable 1-0 loss at Birmingham by losing the services of Jack Harrison and Tyler Adams, with no other players incoming. It then doesn't bode well for the visit today of WBA, led by our old friend Carlos Coberan, who was an assistant to Marcelo Bielsa back in the good old days. I've got a sinking feeling about this one but I'm hoping that the boys will prove me wrong and register our first competitive win since April. Come on, you Whites! #MOT!

Just back from a picnic on campus and settling in for this one.
Here's our starting line-up tonight:
Meslier, Ayling, Struijk, Rodon, Byram, Ampuadu, Shackleton, Gray, James, Gelhardt, Rutter.
Not happy with that at all.
Oh - Byram was in there from Dan James' ball and nearly found the corner with his effort.
James gets down the side again and wins a corner. This is promising.
Ampadu tries a flick from the near post. Doesn't quite come off.
All three of our matches have started like this before going all pear shaped. The trick will be to score enough goals before we inevitably concede one or two.
As with last weekend, we've had to name both our backup keepers - Darlow and Klasson - on the bench in order to fill up the numbers.
Oh - great break there ends up with James testing out the Albion keeper.
Joffy picked up a silly yellow card a moment ago - that doesn't help matters.
First real break for WBA. Thomas-Assante playing in Nat Phillips. That shows the danger.
Nat Phillips in again there. This is exactly the problem we've had in the first two matches.
More poor defending (sigh)...
The Baggies have definitely come into this match in the last five minutes. I think that teams have figured us out. If they can weather our opening storm, they can punk us on the break.
Oh - Shackleton with a drive that deflected onto the post. Rutter wasn't alive to the rebound chance.
Molumbu is booked for a cynical tug back on Dan James, who again is looking the most lively of our attackers.
Oh - real chance there from an Albion defensive error. We really need to convert these because we are likely to concede at least one.
Oh - Nat Phillips gave Ayling a clean pair of heels. Real danger there.
Sam Byram has been a real asset for us this season - really surprising. He was the forgotten man.
I haven't been impressed by WBA at all today. Of the three teams we've played so far, they've been the worst.
The Baggies win a corner. Here comes the danger. Mark 'em up!
The half-time whistle comes. It feels a lot like the Birmingham match last weekend. We've dominated for long stretches but have failed to convert and looks vulnerable on the break.
Back at it for the second half. Baggies nearly in there but Meslier cleared up.
Oh - Baggies in again. Thomas-Assante crossed for Wallace who nearly scored. Meslier did well to flick it onto the post.
Bugger! A really scrappy goal from a corner, just as I'd feared. Molumby with a deflected shot that trickled past Meslier.
0-1 WBA
This is really feeling like last week's match.
Yes, Bill creeps in at the back post and nods home a Dan James cross! 1-1!
Now let's go on and win this one. Come on!
Three of the five players who have scored for us this season have been defenders. Says everything you need to know about us right now.
