Lakenheath Old Boys

We are all former students at Lakenheath High School and other public schools in East Anglia. We were in school in the 70s and 80s and drank deeply from the well of British culture of those decades - the pints, the telly, and of course the footie!

Premiership Plus Predictions Game - Week 8 Update

Hiya, PPPers! I'm back to take stock of the hurly burly weekend of footer that we just witnessed, as we head into the second interminable international break of the season. It's all change in the Premier League, with Man City knocked off their perch for the first time in weeks and Big Ange's Spurs sitting on top this week. That robs most of us of ten points right off the bat. At the bottom, it's as you were with Burnley, Bournemouth and Sheffield United propping up the league.

In the Championship, Leicester and Ipswich switched places, which gave several of us an extra point, and my beloved Leeds United have crept up into fifth place. Haaland hasn't scored in a few matches but his eight goals still leads the pack with Newcastle's Isak and Spurs' Son in hot pursuit. Neto, Maddison and Trippier all notched a fifth assist, leaving Mo Salah in their dust. And Ederson is joined this week by Palace's Sam Johnstone with four clean sheets.

Inter's city rivals AC have nicked the top spot in Serie A off them, while Real and Leverkusen are top of the pops in their respective leads.

That all means that United We Stand sits atop the standings this week. Here are the full standings:

1. United We Stand - 37 points

2. Bee's Knees - 32 pts

-   Man Utd Rules - 32 pts

-   oticoN - 32 pts

6. MOT the Hoople - 31 pts

7. Blue Devil - 29 pts

-   Gooner71 - 29 pts

-   Red Devil 1FCK - 29 pts

10. Someone Said - 26 pts

11. Red Dragon - 25 pts
